Hi, found this. I sailed on this ship on a group cruise when it was in its original form and livery. So, early 200s? Of course it didn't have any of the Solstice specialty restaurants and only had the original specialty restaurant (which was brilliant). Unfortunately, the food in the MDR was average to poor when I sailed aboard her. The "Cellar Masters" and Sushi on 5 area were originally the Martini and Chmpagne bar on either side and was a open area in the center where you can overlook dancing/activities in the Rendezvous Lounge. I did my first Karaoke there and apparently it went well because people were telling me that loved it throughout the cruise. I had several cocktails so I was quite "relaxed." This is a somewhat different ship but most of the changes are fine. But I understand they'll change a lot and I'm not so sure the ship needs it. Michel's Pub is now for Retreat pax. But the fundamentals have remained and lesser used areas have been repurposed. I personally don't think the Millie ships look old. Their design works in any era. But people like newer because of tech, features, etc. and I don't necessarily agree. Since I'm not big on staterooms any decent inside or outside stateroom will do for me. I don't need the latest/greatest veranda but hey, they're necessary to provide. For me, social areas like lounges and bars with lounges are crucial and while the Century class had more, the Millie ships have enough. For restaurant folks, now the ship has most of what the Solstice class have. I'm also not big on "lightening" the ships decor when they are refurbished because the dark woods are part of their personality/style/ambiance. Celebrity calls the stairway area is the Grand Foyer vs. atrium. They're similar but foyers are more like in a large home or in a smaller hotel where atria? tend to be a bit more elaborate. The Constellation/Millie ships have a rather quiet vibe about them. I must say, Celeb has upped their showroom entertainment. It used to be pretty standard or actually kind of lame. I wish I knew your tips on the deck area seating. I don't remember seeing it at all. Hopefully they delivered on the food when you sailed her. If you don't need the latest ship, the Millie ships look well cared for and in some ways, they have some really elegant social spaces that are unmatched on Edge IMO. Edge has the tech and restaurants but I don't view restaurants as social spaces. They're dining spaces to me.
Going on the Connie February 24th…looking forward to it. Would like an honest perspective as to the difference between Aqua Class and a suite class? I am booked in Aqua but put a bid in for an upgrade.
It's a huge difference. We actually have a video coming on Suite benefits! #1 Suite restaurant is much better. #2 You have access to Michael's club. #3. You have a butler and they are Amazing! #4 Special events like a sail away party on the Helipad. Suite life is awesome! Not that Aqua class isn't great but the Suite is a whole new level! You are going to have a great trip either way. Watch for that Suite Class Video coming soon!
We had the premium package so I have no idea what they charged because they were included for me. I do know that I went back and forth between Stella and Blue Moon. I think I mixed in a Pironi if I remember right. When are you traveling?
Did the ship feel old? Small? We booked it for Christmas week because we wanted a getaway, and it was a good deal. We most often sail on ships in the 3K range for passengers.
That's an interesting question! Compared to brand new ships it's clearly not new but, it doesn't seem old at all. It's in excellent condition and has kept up well with the times. So...that's a half answer. Not bristling with technology but doesn't seem old either. Let us know how your trip goes. We think you'll love it.
You can go to the APP and change the cruise to one that is currently sailing and the calendar will update to that cruising - you can see extensive list of activities, music, classes, sales, tournaments, et

@@DOUGandNIKI I’ve been on several Celebrity Cruises including ships Celebrity Equinox and Celebrity Reflection. I simply pointed out that you didn’t cover an area that may be important to guests, but I won’t pass judgment as you did assuming I hadn’t cruised with Celebrity before ✌️
Apple Mac and IOS is so much better than googlised android. Great to find a cruise line that doesn’t follow like lemmings the droid mobiles and windoze
Why don't you tell us how you really feel. Maybe we can roll the clock back to 2010 for you and we can all pretend you've haven't lost track of time passing you by.

Like you our original experience with these ships was in 2008 on the Summit when she was new. They are really solid ships.
Looks almost the same as Infinity
Sister ships.
Tell us floor numbers while touring please
Are those passenger only floors or all the floors?

We just booked it yesterday, and are looking forward to a relaxing time vs being on board with 4,000 people and too many kids.
How is the shopping on board?
It's definately been upgraded. It's still a cruise ship so it's the normal fare for that.
is there music poolside? do they do live music?
Yes to both! Lots of live music.
Yep to both

You didn’t show the Adult Solarium Pool Area which to me is an important feature for those of us that avoid kids. Just feedback
Interesting.... But, have you been on a Celebrity Cruise before?

Sound is terrible
On deck or below deck?
