I just wanted to say how much I appreciate your attention to the soundtrack on your videos. The crackling campfire with the rest of the sounds fading out at the end adds a nice eeriness, for example. Subtle and great attention to detail.
Camping on a friend's private property we were hiking to a ridge overlooking a stunning valley in Appalachia. There's basically one trail that runs from his cabin to the ridge, no parks or houses close by just miles of hilly forest. It's a 3.2 mile hike. With half a mile to go this guy just walks out of the forest and crosses our path. No hiking gear, he looked like he just went on break from an office job. He looked about 60, glasses, golf shirt and khakis. He just walked past us looking at his phone and gave us a "l'm too busy to talk" waves and continued on his way back into the woods. There was nowhere he could have been coming from or going. I stood in shock for a second than ran after him with a bunch of questions but it seemed like he vanished. We've never figured that one out

Since we are in our reality (or dimenson) there's no reason that other ones do not exist. Certain places or series of events can create openings in the barriers that separate us. I think it works both ways too, people from our reality step out and become the Missing 411. One thing l am certain of, we have no idea of how strange our reality can be.
What if the man had a knife or gun and he wasn’t interested in you until you ran after him with all your questions. I’m glad he vanished for your sake.
If I'm going camping and I happen to see someone else already camping close to my intended site I just keep going someplace else because I just don't like to camp too close to other people in general.
what a great way to end the weekend with a sunday night Hiking/camping stories! lets gooo! story 1 - that was the last time OP & his dad would be camping at those woods!
Story 1: It's best if you convince your dad to tell you what he saw in those woods. It's never good to hide stuff from your child; it'll lead to distrust.
I agree. The dad sounds like a jackass tbh. Brings no protection, disappears off into the woods and leaves his son there alone with the words "don't let anyone come near you". The man should not be camping, alone or with anyone else.
He probably came across a drug deal gone wrong, witnessed something he shouldn’t have and was fortunate enough to escape. He’s never gonna discuss that with OP
His Dad probably killed the person in the woods as that's the only thing that a man would never discuss again and would make his demeanor change after being asked, even years later.
@@EKaDab indeed seems a bit forced tensionwise. The Timing of his father turning up just before the stranger approaches is odd. Also, who would leave his son behind under such circumstances while it's getting dark?
Could you imagine if the creepy guy in story 3 was scared of the storyteller: “I went camping alone to a spot nobody ever goes. Then, I saw another camper so I hid in the forest and when I came out to my campsite, the guy turned his chair to face me and was staring at me.”
"Wow, this video was absolutely chilling! Your storytelling and attention to detail always keep me on the edge of my seat. I've been a fan of scary true stories for a while, and your channel never disappoints. As someone who also enjoys sharing eerie tales over on my channel (Nightmare Narrator 2.0) I find your work truly inspiring. Keep up the fantastic work - it's a must-watch for anyone who loves a good scare!"
The guy camping at the lake walks up on someone already camping there and invaded his space and then proceeds to not understand why the guy who got the spot first was staring him down. You don’t just invade someone’s space. If you don’t know these unwritten rules, stay home!
First story seems fake. Why to simple and why the hell would the dad not tell him. If it is a real story that’s very lame of him, just because it was scary doesn’t mean the person he was legit with doesn’t deserve to know, unless his son was under the age of 10
What’s your guess as to what happened? Mine is that he came across a drug deal gone wrong and was fortunate enough to escape unharmed. He would NEVER bring that up to OP. He’s probably terrified they’d come for them
Why do campers & hikers go on their trails totally UNARMED????? At the minimum carry a 6" blade survivor knife, any firearm, some M80 loud firecrackers, a machete, mace(bears),whistle, and even a 900-mile laser pointer used for blinding the eye of predators or signaling. I also carry a motion sensor solar garden light that I nail to a tree to cover my tent approach this acts as a deterrent and gives me a sense of security.
Yay forest/camping/middle of nowhere horror stories are the best!
I can never understand why people go camping and never bring something to protect themselves

Love me a Whispered Diaries upload!! 😬
This is why one should always be armed when camping in a remote area.
I love camping, but my country does not allow firearms.
True is you live in the US always carry a gun. People who don't are not very smart
Your timing is always impeccable!
My favorite kind of stories
Good video as always
Will watch this when going to sleep tonight

I really enjoy your story telling your voice adds suspense to it specially at nite before I sleep.👍🏻
great stories

Story 1: why seperate once things get sketchy?
That's what I was wondering, too. By the sounds of things the genius father didn't even bring anything to protect them with.
1st story was such a tease man I wanted to know what his dad saw out there 😢
I hate when that happens in these stories 😭

Story 1: bros dad’s legit killed a stranger
Dude, what? 😂 he probably came across a drug deal gone wrong and was fortunate enough to escape
Wtf are you talking about? They ran from the stranger… did u listen
More than likely the dad witnessed a murder and those footsteps were the actual killer approaching the kid until dad showed up.
Story is fake but what you said is still pretty stupid
😂😂😂
The first story was so scary. I mean somebody screaming in the middle of the woods.
Spooky
