First story they obviously didnt plan on him living. Getting rid of his camping things just proves they wanted no trace of him around. They definitely would have ended him if they caught up.
Always have a large caliber handgun on you. .45 auto, 10mm, .357/.44 magnum. Take your pick. Make sure you have loaded spare magazines and extra ammo for the revolver. Have that on you at all times. Especially if you need to go a bit down to answer call of nature. Never leave it behind. Have it under your head in your sleeping bag. Always have it on your belt. It is your best friend. Just like the military. As long as you're armed, you're a fighting unit. If you don't have a weapon, you're a casualty. If you are vehicle camping or pitching a tent just a short distance from your vehicle, then toss in a 12 gauge shotgun gun or rifle. Weight and size is not a concern. Use that long gun as your primary weapon and your sidearm as your back up. A 12 gauge shotgun of 00 buck and sabot slugs will stop most large animals and will drop any 2 legged predator from the fight. A 5.56 rifle is easy to shoot and easy tonpack 50 rounds. But a 7.62x52/.308 will put someone right to the ground. But you won't carry as many rounds for the same weight. Have 2 or 3 high powered LED flashlights in 5,000-6,000 lumens that can turn night into day and turn high or low and have a strobe feature. A strobe on a high powered light at night can flash blind someone and make them see spots for a few minutes. Have a large knife for camping chores. It can chop branches, split firewood, make feather sticks, chop kindling, and doubles as a weapon although arms length is too close. Have a tomahawk. It can hammer tent poles, chop branches, split firewood, use the spike end to dig into the ground for fire pits. A tomahawk makes an awesome close quarter combat weapon. Very popular with our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan for breaching doors and I'm sure cleaved some skulls in.

There have been 13 homicides on the Appalachian Trail since 1974… The AT spans all the way from GA to ME, is the most easily accessible, most heavily trafficked, and has seen more murders than any other long trail in the US, yet it only saw 13 murders in 50 YEARS! National Park statistics are pretty similar too. In contrast, Chicago has seen over 200 murders not even halfway through 2024. It’s almost like these fears about camping alone are comically overblown Lol You are statistically far safer camping than visiting a busy city…

My top this week. 1 whispered dairies 2. Mr nightmare.3. Frightened Irish.4. night time spook's 5. Southern cannibal. All of them with good videos ❤ keep up the good work
Cue the “Don’t go camping alone” comments, even though these are extremely rare cases and walking down the streets of a busy city or just driving to work is statistically more dangerous than camping alone lol
The difference is that if you encounter danger while alone in a city, help is generally a few moments away. Alone in the remote woods, no one is around to give assistance. No one even knows where you are.
@@lw3269 Yes, yet still FAR more people are killed/harmed in big cities annually than all people who go camping and hiking... and it’s not even close. If anything you are reinforcing my argument, since so many people are dying in cities, even with help being so close by. It’s almost like big cities are way more dangerous lol Just in Chicago alone, there have already been over 200 people murdered in 2024, not even halfway through the year. About 240 people die annually in ALL national parks and the VERY large majority of those deaths were caused by accidents or because people were unprepared for the conditions. Homicides make up about 1% of all national park deaths and animal attacks even less. Only 43 homicides and 10 animal deaths from 2007-2024… We take risks in almost everything we do and of course we should take necessary precautions, but this fear of the woods is so obnoxiously overblown. Lol Even eating has risks and far more people die just from choking than people who die from attacks in the backcountry. My point stands, that people are overreacting to the dangers in the wilderness. Scary anecdotes don’t override what is statistically true, but if people are too scared, then more space for me! Lol
@@ManivanAdventures yes dude, because in the big cities there is traffic and many people . Camping alone is as dangerous as crossing where is not allowed to
Uhh... yeah, big cities have more death, because they literally have a thousands upon thousands of times more people than you are likely to stumble across in the woods. But IF you run into trouble in the woods, help is going to be hours away even assuming that you can actually reach that help. There is so much that can go wrong on a camping trip that is completely outside of your control while camping that can be mitigated by bringing one other person with you. It doesn't have to be some creep killer stalking your campsite. You could lose your footing on a steep area and fall and absolutely injure yourself beyond the ability to get to safety. Odds of dying to situations like that go down SIGNIFICANTLY with at least one other person.
First, uou should have never followed William. You may have lost them in the woods but they knew where you'd camped. They didn't count on you coming back. Never go camping alone. Always take a rifle and pistol. One person awake at all times. Be ready to leave in a heartbeat if necessary. Ne aware of your surroundings
Any one who decides to go camping or hiking alone should never go alone with out protection and you should never go alone but if you do have a firearm cause things can turn bad very fast even with a gun going alone is stupid so many people disappear every year going out alone it's not safe
This guy is best ever narrator i saw till 😮 can't listen to the other one❤ although i am making also Horror Stories but you are my motivation ❤ Keep it up 💪
No one should go hiking or camping alone, but if you do ya have to, take protection. A firearm is best unless you are skilled with a knife and can defend yourself. Do not take a knife if you dont know how to use it as it will be used against you. And if you do own a firearm, you better know how to use it.
Story 2 has me thinking if the person they encounterd in the dark was a killer or something. Well I guess they didn't feel strong enough to attack the story teller. I guess there could be countless reasons why. Good story.
Hearing so many of these stories and knowing that there are hundreds of others that you don't ever hear makes me think there are like a bunch of eco terrorist serial killers out in the woods killing people to keep them out of the forests. I wonder
This is a good channel. I just happened on it. The voice is rather calm yet scary at the same time. I wonder if these stories are true? If they are, perhaps one should always carry a firearm when out in the woods alone.
It is beyond stupid to go camping/hiking without a weapon. In the deep woods, you are your own first responder and have at minimum a hunting/survival knife, a gun is great and a machete comes in handy. Bring a solar motion-activated garden light as well as some loud M80 firecrackers great for scaring off intruders. Having a 900-mile laser pointer for defense it can blind the eyes of predators and signaling.
