It's mad that Bayern kinda underutilized him for so long, prioritizing a whole slew of other fullbacks. He is so good on the ball it's ridiculous. He's also much quicker than I thought he would be. Maybe he will have issues defending 1v1 against some of the quickest wingers in the prem, but he really hasn't struggled much at all so far, so I doubt it.
The reason why he got less playing time and why he was sold was not because of performances but simply because he supports Palestine and our club is Jewish

Such a confident footballer made his debut at old trafford on a couple days notice and looked like he was playing with his mates at the park
"Look like he is playing with his mates at the park" This is exactly his unique selling point, already when he was at Ajax. His debut in the champions League was also phenomenal and looked like playing at the park.
I just hope he isn't injured. Confidence is an amazing thing in football, it can really make or break a player sometimes
It is a steal!! We were worrying for defensive scenarios without AWB but being a 1v1 specialist is mere one attribute of being a good defender. He is versatile and him being two footed, it really helps. He knows when to invert, when to overlap, tucks in to become a back 3. Ofc, still some of us might question his 1v1 dribbling but no signing/player is perfect, and his upsides are way more. If only Shaw was as fit and consistent as Dalot/Bruno, we would have one of the best technical backlines in Europe, and no this isn't exaggeration.

Good for him to perform in the premier league! At Bayern me personally I didn‘t think he had his best performances to be honest. Especially when defending he seemed to struggle a lot.
For me the bigger steal is De Ligt. Apparently the club had to sell someone since they spend over 100 million Euros again. Because if you think about it only talking about his performances, De Ligt is one of Top 5 Defenders in Europe in my humble opinion.
Mazraoui suffers also from the fact that in our national team, we have Hakimi and Mazraoui has to play as a left back, he isn't bad bvut doesn't shine as much. Mazraoui is technically better than Hakimi tho.
Mazraoui has made us forget about AWB already
AWB would've still been a good sub player. Especially for games against top tier wingers like Mitoma and Doku etc... we'd need him to keep them in check
Should’ve kept AWB but sadly his contract was running down so it makes sense to sell him.
His defensive abilities are no joke and would’ve been a nice alternative for more lethal oppositions.

But he was playing on the left or even as a middefield ,Always adapting perfectly to so many positions that's why under Ten hag he can fit perfectly to whatever he ask him to do.

Value for money, Mazra is our best summer signing… so far. The issue with him has been availability, he picked up a lot of injuries at both Ajax and Bayern. Skill wise he’s much better than his transfer fee suggests.
For me hes our best signing. Just hope he can stay consistently fit

AWB was a defender not a footballer, we badly need a new starting left back so he and dalot can compete at rb, both are 26,25 so were covered for next 3 years. we need this development on the left side badly, will get best out of rashford and garna also
Wait for Malacia. He is already in, just must become fit. He has showed to have the ability to be as good as Shaw and will become even better. If he recovers good, he will be a beast at the back!!!
I heard a lot of fans criticising his signing before he actually signed. A lot of negative comments about how he was just another Ajax signing, how injury prone he was etc etc... You just know they're waiting for one bad game so they can pipe up again.

I realised something about the people who say that we play a higher line w Maguire. Ya'll aren't smart. During Ole's reign, smaller teams like Villa, Southampton, West Ham , and Newcastle would all play deep. This was our achilles against these teams. We actually preferred it when teams would press against us as we could exploit the spaces they left with the quality we had . This was comfortable for Maguire. Nowadays, all these teams are the opposite . They've grown. Southampton had 65% possession on average before playing us. They came from the Championship. Same with Burnley. Maguire will never hold a high line against Liverpool, City, and Arsenal, like how MdL and Licha do. Having Maguire in the team is good because of his abilities, like headering and etc. That will be useful against Arsenal at set pieces . But, we wanna use Onana from the back to the middle to the forwards . We can't do that consistently with Maguire.
We played a high line in Ole's first season. The season Henderson was the keeper. Soon as DeGea came in, the line dropped really deep. But the line is higher this season. Some teams played a low block against us under Ole because we had fast forwards. The best way to nullify the pace was to not provide any space in behind so they had to play deep like Forest did vs pool at the weekend. Just sit back and counter. Better chance of winning.
@notharryhindsight7746 We were never gonna win the PL like that..NEVER. We always needed to transition out of that style of play. It's been very hard.to say the least.

Im not saying im not happy with the signing, beause i think its a good one. But i dont think he is bringing anything new to the tabel when we look at our "real" right back Dalot. sure its great to have a amazing second option in case dalo is injured (or otherwise not abel to play) but a leftback that is not injury prone would have been better for us.
