Surprise trip to Disney World

- We told our 5 y/o daughter that "daddy was going on a business trip". She didn't know we were going to surprise her with a trip to the Magic Kingdom to meet the princesses. She knows the characters, but she doesn't know what "Disney World" or "Magic kingdom" are. This was also her fist time on a plane. She was a bit perplexed, not knowing exactly what was about to happen :o)

This is adorable! What wonderful parents you are and look how grateful she is! And you're not wonderful because you took her to Disney, you're wonderful because it is obvious how you cherish and love your daughter. The love in the Dad's eyes is so tender, and she is so sweet and innocent! People will have their opinions, but they are just jealous of what a loving family you have and how perfect your Disney Surprise was! Sometimes people can't help but direct their jealousy into negative channels, when it would be better served to realize they just want what you have. I bet your trip was fantastic. I am taking my nieces and nephews this October. I hope they are as grateful and full of awe as your sweet daughter.

For real, she is the cutest and most beatiful little girl I have ever seen. Her voice is so cute. She is so precious and polite. I wish she was mine. Thanks parents for doing this for her! I had 2 little girls their age and a so 3 months but American Soldiers shot and killed them all including my wife in Vietnam. I just miss my kids. I am so happy you could do this for her. I just adore this. You can actually see her plucking up the courage to ask if she can go. Including the voice change.. All the while preparing for the possible "Not this time.!" The hope etched into her lil face. For a 5yr old she's as sharp as a tack. I would have LOVED to see her face when she met the Princesses. Awesome Job Mom and Dad. You have a Diamond There.. And i hope all her little dreams came true.. :)

Wow. The first minute (minus the "look at that picture" part) was almost TOO deja vu for me :) I had almost the identical conversation with my daughter. But I DID have to go away for a week. My daughter started to cry, and said "I'll try not to miss you daddy", it tore me up inside! Still makes me sad after the fact. But, in your case, I thought it was awesome that in less than 2 minutes your daughter went from sad to cloud 9 !! I'm going to make it up to my daughter next year and we're taking her to Disney :) Anyway, in short... I love your video. Though I hope 'papa' at least got a souvenir ;-)

Really Stella, that's what you noticed? One, she was born 2 mos early....two, she's 8 and still skinny.....she's perfectly healthy and happy. Being a little skinny is better than being overweight, true?

No I don't think I was being to rude to anyone overweight. I myself am overweight and worry that my kids might have trouble with this as they get older. I don't believe there is a parent out there who wishes their child were overweight or that if they are, want to help them get healthy. Hence the reason they brought children onto the biggest loser...I'm not saying that being skinny is always healthy and having a little weight on always unhealthy. I was just confused as to why Stella only noticed the size of my daughter.

Yeah, she really didn't know what disney world was, but we showed her a pic of cinderella's castle and she knew the princesses. Every time my husband went on a trip she asked if she could go with him so she was happy she could this time!
