I love my Max. One of my best purchases. I’ve been using 360 footage since the Rylo came out a few years ago. I won’t record with anything less. Livelifewithaview!!
I love it brotha . I bought one as well and it’s amazing . I sometimes capture things I didn’t know I did and later find it in editing, which adds on to some great shots !

Use overcapture in the GoPro app. Makes reframing so much easier than trying to keyframe everything

Do you need any type of lens protection to GoPro Max for diving up to 16 ft?

After editing on the phone i can export and drop the footage on FCPX. I wont be able to do the 360 Effect on FCPX. But at least i will be able get the footage in there to attach to the other footage correct?

Im looking for a camera for scuba diving and not sure on the hero 9 or the max. Having 360 underwater seems like it would be so awesome. Even if i never changed the angle id still get a wider shot wouldnt i? Which would you choose for diving? Ive heard different stories on the battery life. in 360 mode would it last a solid hour?

Good review thanks. I've been using the Max on my Ducati Monster for 6 months, I did a couple of reviews if you're interested. You can get a Ulanzi door with hole for a USB plug which I've found useful. With a 256Gb card means you can film all day.
Slightly frustrated GP hasn't sorted out a Windows editor yet, as you rightly say, the post processing is a pain.
I've watched every Max on a motorcycle YT review, and I dont think anyone has yet solved hiw to mount it safely and effectively. If you've any thoughts I'd be interested 😎

I live in South Florida -- and checking out your surroundings and the dolphin fish you caught -- I'm guessing your here too. I would love to rig it up to my BMW Adventure motorcycle for my next trip -- Top of Africa to bottom of Africa. I just finished a 30,000km ride from Boca to Thailand and wish I had an easy setup. GoPro is easy, but you only get one view and it can get boring unless your always fiddling... As it is, I had limited time during my 5 months on the road to play with camera placements. Could you help set up a mount for a motorcycle that would be no fuss?

The video seems to be sort of gimmicky and like it would get old after a while. Are you still using the camera? I’m thinking about buying one to supplement my Hero 8 on backpacking trips but am worried I’ll use it once and get tired of it. Any killer uses?

It is a gimmick for sure shoots 5.6k uploaded compressed looks like 1080p footages then when you key frame you go straight to 1080 then when you shoot hero mode 1080 ? This camera should came out 10 years ago it been fine then
