1. For changing the processor you have to change the mother board.
2. There is no limit for SSD or hdd but for ram you can only expand it to 8 gb
Dell Inspiron 3542 is available in i5 and i7 on that time both are 4th generation and all ports are same like i3 in both
no one can upgrade processors on laptops, they are soldered on the motherboard from factory. getting a new laptop is the only solution.
I have the same laptop i upgraded to Crucial Mx500 SSD. It's super fast now.
Will upgrading my ram to 8gb improve performance drastically ?

Battery change nhi kri hai but same issue mujhe bhi hai mostly charge pr laga ke hi use Krna pardta hai

1. Crucial are good drives and have an excellent return policy but they are slow. I prefer Samsungs. You can choose according to your budget and candy compatible with 2.5"/9.5mm .

Phele se better performance hai or photoshop bhi kafi smooth hai pehle se but purana laptop hone ki wajah se kafi limitations hai but basic editing ke liye sahi hai or video editing or rendering kafi better hai pehle se

please help me sir, mere dell Inspiron 3542 laptop me mujhe ssd lagana hai lekin me chahata hu ki jo pahale se hdd laga hua hai uska OS bhi chale rahe kyuki usme kuchh software licence wale hai to.., me hdd ko caddy ki madad se dvd drive ki jagah lagaya hu aur uska pura drive aur data bhi show ho rh hai lekin wo boot nhi ho rh hai (ssd jo sata port me lagi hai wo chal rhi hai)
maine easybcd software se dual boot bhi banaya aur usse boot krne se kuchh error aa rh hai
bios se bhi sab try kr liya AHCI bhi enable h( mere laptop me sirf AHCI bs hsi aur kuchh hai bhi nhi)
agr sirf dvd writer ki jagah hdd ya ssd lagaye to no boot device select proper boot device wala problem aata hai
aur agr is jagah se windows install krna chahe to fir ye error aata hai :- Windows cannot be installed to this disk. This computer's hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure the disk's controller is enabled in the computer's BIOS menu.
please help agr kuch solution ho to bataiye
