I just saw that you posted this video eleven years ago! See, there are still people like me watching and learning. Thank you. I just left a comment a few seconds ago, also.
The beauty you created with just a couple of pencils, in just a couple of minutes, is mind boggling! I had to subscribe and I can’t wait to see your other content 😍 Thank you so much for sharing your artistic gifts with us!!
That amazing, simple and creative, I'm an artist myself and you've given me ideas on how to use those techniques on making stars. Great job and keep up the great work.
thanks Nicole these are fantastic guidelines, I'm drawing these on my wall in the hallway i don't get much natural light in there so i thought I'd just embrace the darkness, peace!
Thanks for this very artful and important topic. Beautifully done. I was looking for something like this and I haven't found any others on this neglected topic.
Yes thank you! I keep finding videos for computer images it's irritating to say the least when I'm trying to learn how to actually draw this, thank you! 👍🏼
Many Thanks Nicole, great simple to understand and follow, practical, creative demonstration! I appreciate your style of teaching! Brad Holmes Tai Chi Gold Coast
Great video. You're stars really look good. I'm glad I am able to watch and learn. Thanks for sharing you're technique. I love to color in coloring books. On the page I'm currently working on, the artist drew stars to be colored. I wanted to learn how to color the ones she drew and make them look like they are shining. So, I colored up to the stars leaving about 1/4 inch blank around the star, I'll admit whole heartedly, I don't know what I'm doing, I don't know what to do next. Right now my stars and the 1/4th inch beyond the lines of the stars aren't colored. The blank stars are scattered on the page, some are on a rainbow on the page. So, do I color the star white and color the 1/4" around the star a little lighter, then go back in with a yellow over that or do I color the rainbow right up to the star lines then color the 1/4" inch around the star white/yellow over the color I colored the rainbow? I've explained it the best I could, I hope you can understand. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
I love your shinny stars! But could you make a video showing how to make a starry night?? I would like to draw on my bedroom window, but I am not very good at drawing and specially when it comes to spacing and proportions, I am quite helpless! Plz...🙏
instead of making white stars, just draw them in a light color, perhaps yellow, blue, or gray. if you want them to look more abstract you could draw them in "galaxy" colors (pink, purple, blue)
Prismacolor Premier Color Pencils are the best! I use them for the rich vibrant colors. They are easy to blend and layer. Most craft stores in the US sell them. You can also find them online.
This looks amazing!! Thank you for this tutorial. Could you please tell me how you would make sparkles on colored items in a coloring book? For instance when you have used prismacolor pencils to color a diamant and you want to add some sparkles to it? Because I can imagine a white pencil won't do the trick ;-)
Thank you. That’s right you would need to use colors other than white...but the same technique should work. You can also use white paint on top of coloring pencils or crayons. It adds an extra sparkle.
Have you tried this technique using acrylic paint? Am wanting to paint on wood a bright star like pattern first than a Jesus or angel silhouette in the middle of the light or like a bright light behind the silhouette to give you a idea of what am trying to do. Thanks
Thanks for this video! I don't even know if you are on UA-cam anymore but here it is 8 years later and you are still helping people! 😊

great stars
very nice
what to do if I want to draw it on white paper???
Prottoy Modak yellow
inverse coloring, leave the star streaks white, and shade in the star shape.

Yes use other colors first then you can use white paint on top for the star. You can also color the space around the star leaving white in the center.
I wanted to ask which brand pencil color you were using...
Its really smooth
