- Hi again! Thank you for the warm welcome to the UA-cam Community. People's comments,emails and personal stories have truly touched my heart. Life has been a little crazy since my first video: My dog's Mast Cell Tumor has reached a critical stage and we cancelled a big vacation so we can do a surgery for her. My house is a disaster because we're ripping out all the carpet (dog accidents) and it's a bit overwhelming, but life is good. Oh!...and my elders found my first video. I'll keep everyone posted on what happens with that.
Ruby's tumor is teaching me a lesson: when the body is sick, it starts with a little lump. Left untreated, things don't just go away. Similarly, the poisoned food from Watchtower created a cancer inside me. Early warning signs were swept under the rug of my subconscious until the ugly tumor was too big to ignore. I had 3 choices: 1)Leave it untreated (Don't do any outside research) 2)Cut the tumor out with a big knife (throw everything away: the Bible, my belief in God, etc) or 3) use a scalpel and carefully remove each tentacle of the tumor. I believe I am choosing option 3.

While I was never a JW, I grew up in a very similarly cult-like religious family dominated by my mother. I recognized the similarites before I could properly articulate my observations and experiences.
My father just went along with the "deal" of a united front. He was a CEO of a multinational corp., and was fortunately travelling to one of 11 plants located across Canada 2-3 weekends each month, first class and 5* hotels.
When he was home on a Sunday, my job was to wake him if he began to snore, I'd recieve a "mint," which were actually rolaids. He drank martinis-about 6 doubles everyday. But since he wore 1k suits, had the perfect appearance, strategic associations, some of which our church was a facilitator of, everything appeared to adhere to the facade that was my mothers dearest source of pride.
I didn't intend to write an essay but I am encouraged to hear people and especially women emancipating themselves from indoctrination, abusive methods of child rearing/teaching/psychological abuses, hypocrisy and shunning if you don't conform.
I began having serious problems as early as 11. At 13, my migraine headaches and chronic anxiety should have caught my parents attention. They preferred to consider the problem was me. There are only so many damning secrets a child can hold about their family's true inner climate before they begin to unravel.
Because I studied opera beginning at 11, I was expected to sing at church. By 13, I told my mother that I felt like a fraud since church seemed more like a business than a place for spiritual growth. It was a very daring thing and ultimately painful as I was beaten on my backside with a shoe for being so ungrateful. I am adopted, the daughter of my "mothers'" youngest, shunned sister.
Our minister was quietly given some severance money and relocated to a church in rural Saskatchewan, for embezzlement and "other things." I had been encouraged to be a playmate of his daughter so I knew what really went on within their house.😔
It's taken me years of therapy trying to hang on to my sanity and am at a place where I am proudly divorced from organized religion yet, accept myself as a spiritual being with a soul that cares little for the judgements of others who truly have no jurisdiction. I remind myself daily that this includes myself first and foremost.
Due to my extensive and intensive experience(s), COMPASSION is the greatest gift I've been given, maintained and augmented throughout my journey toward spiritual understanding and reconciliation.

I found Beroean Pickets a couple of weeks ago, I think he is very logical in his reasoning and someone who is fresh out of the Org would be comfortable with his approach. My husband showed me one of Ultimate Mordecai's videos last week and agree they are super encouraging! I see the bible through new eyes in the way he shares it. So many helpful loving people out there.
I haven't really shared my store much online, it's still on going and maybe too fresh in my mind I get emotional about it. I also don't think it's that interesting, lol. My mother recently passed away too, so I feel like a crazy woman some days. Thanks for the great illustration!

the hardest part of this journey is to stop looking at world events and trying to make it fit prophecy, its extremely hard to let go of that because we were looking for armageddon...and i have now lived more years than i will be alive

Let us know how Ruby does....my Dog had breast tumours removed successfully, so I hope it goes well. Nice illustration, very true, as long as the river doesnt completely wash you away, as some hardship sadly can you do become a stronger, wiser person and more willing to help with the burdens of other fonkeys ;))

Hi Alexandra, I love your videos plus I subscribe to Beroean Pickets and love them, too. How is Ruby now? I love cats so not too much a dog person. I was wondering about the cancer you talked about inside of you...do you yourself have cancer or is that just bad feelings from the abuse of the Watchtower? I found that eating fruits and veggie help me to feel good. I love your illustration about the donkeys!

Hey love ya dogs and I just lost my Ellie Mae a rescued pitbull who was afraid of men and I went to pat her an she snapped at me and I wanted her so we adopted her and after 6 Weeks she loved me and I earn her trust and I will pray for your dog and Ellie had cancer and she was 1 when we adopted her and got 12 years of loyal love from her and I have family who are Jehovah witnesses and I have been studying an I don't agree with all their teachings and hearing your story and all the other ex jws

I must say good honest video (seems from the heart). And the illustration of the donkeys even better example. No doubt you are correct in saying "many donkeys" still having cotton on their backs in that club my sister one of them. I also think many are what my wife calls them Seat Warmers as in just go along as they know no better and have a circle of friends all doing the same (can't rock the boat). So they sit there and vegetate. But me thinks with people like Lloyd Evans and others and of course TIME, it will be a lost club in future. My wife is visiting a friend right now in Toronto and well friend is hard core JW so she texted me last night in saying she went to the meeting (she is staying at her friends house) and well kind of had to go (my wife is not a believer at all trust me but she is a great faker when she needs to be. Anyways I asked her how many at the club she said about 60. This is a very big city and only 60 I remember the days in the 80's would have been double that. So its working keep up the Videos, even though I disagree with you on things (I now believe in Evolution) club members need to see people like you and Lloyd and others for HELP.

I love Lloyd's videos, even though I'm not an atheist. So what?! As long as there is respect, we can all get along and appreciate our freedom and diversity. 😊 Your wife must be a very good actress.
Did you manage okay for your dog operation?
It can cost a lot if u don't have enough money🤔
We did her surgery and we got 2 more months with her. She passed on March 30th 2019😞 thank you so much for asking

Oh!, I'm so sorry to hear that, sweet pea! Dogs are so sensitive to our feelings I realise.
I dog sit for homeless friends.
She's only 9 months old!
I treat her fleas naturally, so, she doesn't get sick.
Always had cats, but I realise that having dogs is way better!

I am sorry for your loss of sweet little Ruby. It is difficult to adapt to the loss of such loyal friends/babies. She had a good mommy though.
