One can't help but wonder, what precisely is the NLTP Act intended to accomplish? Is it, as one might naively assume, meant to halt the sale and consumption of alcohol? Or, rather more cynically, is it designed to facilitate and encourage the influx of spurious concoctions that some have likened to paint thinner? Judging by the fervent defenses mounted in its favor, one could be forgiven for suspecting it’s the latter.
So all of a sudden we need revenue by selling liquor?. Nagaland is the state that we nagas have dedicated it to our God , we all prayed and fasted to give our state in the hands of God. So why don't we look at another field to generate the revenue? Why only liquor? Why should we break the promise made with God ? Why should we be even bothered by the money from selling liquor? Are we all gonna starve to death for not getting revenue from this ? Is it worth giving up the Hope and belief of the Kingdom of Heaven that we all have trusted and followed? We have become greedy for money. We have distance farther and farther from God . My dear nagas , it is all in the Bible that we will value money , possessions ,power ,fame and earthly pleasures over spiritual life . Please let's keep the Promise with God and further give efforts to attain the goal “Dry State” which we still have yet to achieve even after the NLTP Act. Please don't give up my dear nagas, The Kingdom of Heaven is nearing.
Global windows most trusted media in Nagaland.. kindly raise an issue on age relaxation for competitive exams as two years age relaxation due to covid benefited only those candidates who reached the age of 35 at the time of implementation and not to those candidates who was nearing the age of 35 at the time of implementation... students union should focus on this issue ad their top priority is to safeguard the benefits of the students...
Refer to office memorandum from the govt of nagaland compendium, as it's clearly written for the 2 years relaxation of age to consider to the candidates to appear in exam for the advantages of COVID 19 pandemic..

Lifting NLTP act ain't gonna bring employment or good roads. The revenue will go into the pockets of the govt. top to bottom. Rio and friends have been in power since 2003 first as DAN(Democratic alliance of nagaland) and now as PDA. If they loved the land, multiple developments should have taken place during this phase. Central govt. has been generous in sending deelopment funds. As Nagas what do we have where we can collectively proclaim 'Yes we are proud as Nagas to have achieved this milestone'? Nothing. There is a God who will judge impartially.
I can see the representatives of NBCC in this NLA session. I wish NBCC to send this representatives to voice against corruption for the same in next NLA Session like they voice against lifting of NLTP Act.

I am no saint here..i too drink alcohol and i knw its bad. But for the sake of economy and unemployment i think its not justified for our people to forsake the promise we made with our Lord Almighty. If the govt is serious than I think there are many areas where they can work to improve our state. Also if alcohol is freely flowing in our society thn other antisocial elements such as drugs, flesh trade will follow. There is no society where alcohol hv brought solution.
If this burning issue NLTP act is lifted most of the youth will come back from SF addiction to drinks. I kindly request today's government to take a bold steps without any afraid and free the drinks all over the state...
Even our lord Jesus Christ who is sinless and is perfect was found guilty and condemn to death so I'm not surprised by people who criticize Sir kahuto the man of wisdom, truth and who speaks for the welfare of the people!
People are just bashing about nbcc but it's their duty and they have rights against the nltp act because they are one spiritual body and we know alcoholic and drink addicts are not something that God pleases his people to be. Also, back then nltp act 1989 was successful because of the effort of nbcc and women association. Our neighbouring wet States have many young addicts and broken families. Alcohol bring nothing good in any family Besides nbcc and church leaders are humans all of them are imperfect but they won't wish something bad for their people. Talking about perfection NOBODY is perfect. God knows that Jesus said that. Only JESUS son of God lived a perfect life in this entire universe and entire ages so stop blaming or pinpointing nbcc just because you want to get drinks at low rate and drink day and night.
Revenue earn from alcohol will be in vain. Though no one is perfect but earning from alcohol which kills a person and destroys a family will be a curse for generations . As a Christian state, we should not let the alcohol to sell freely . Also there are many good ways to earn Revenue, so state govt should focus on other Revenue generating areas and stop talking about nltp act. Leaders should not forget that Christianity save the naga people, from darkness to light. If we encourage alcohol to sell freely than the favor of God will turn away from us and only the wrath of God will fall upon the Nagas. God bless Nagaland
Let the Government & Church go on poll , and decide which one will be better for our Nagaland. But my opinion is that every citizen is a member of a particular church member and the citizens of Nagaland has come to know that this act is not successful in our state. So being a citizen of this state we should know what is right for our citizens. Its only my opinion.
Small state with small scope? Wake up Nagas...you have lots of other sources for revenue generation if you have a good government. Change leader for better Nagaland.
Disadvantages one particular tribes will all aplied for license of opening alchohol shop if NLTP act is lifted so dont want to lift it and advantage is that NLTP act is lifted ministers resorts n restuarant will not flow with girls coz it will be easily available with low price good wine so NLTP acts to be lifted will be nice so just let it remains the same n just talk about development, opening up of factories ,industries to give employement to our nagas youth.
I also support the NLTP act not being lifted and agree with the views of NBCC, however I feel ashamed whenever I hear Nagaland for Christ and other such phrases because the reality is quite the opposite. Our Naga brothers and sisters will never stop drinking, leading to them taking unadulterated and cheap alcohol which affects their health. But on the other hand if we lift NLTP act then we will be able to improve our revenue at the cost of our future. We will become like other Western Christian countries. It truly is a deadlock. I would love to see how they handle this issue. As for me, a keyboard warrior, I will silently watch what happens as I have no power to do anything.
How many consultation meeting do we need. Just pass the bill. Why do you meant by church? The people are the church. Likewise, people are in favour of lifting the act. So, it should be according to the voice of the people and not by the church.
So according to Mr Khamo people will go broke once this act is lifted. Nagaland has 73000 unemployed youths and the reason behind getting employment is to earn money. Talking about going bankrupt when people have no money at all. I hope he understands what he is talking about.
With regards to NLTP Act Health should be the first priority, Yes economy will be boosted but the health of the concern public is more important. If it got lifted then more number of alcohol consumer will increase so keeping in mind about the future Nagaland, steps/decision should be taken..
Forget about the state Revenue, instead think about the people of Nagaland.. I don't support partial or totally lifting of this NLTP act. Because human life is more important than state revenue.🙏
NLPT act might be in contention for the worst and most ineffective act passed in the history of mankind which has brought nothing but negative impacts on our Naga society. The govt must scrap it
NLPT Act must lift even if we don't lift Alcohol. We can get Alcohol anywhere anytime in Nagaland and even in villages we can get Alcohol and drugs, banning alcohol, drugs destroyed our generation
Talking, discussing about NLTP, Act is not of importance right now. Talk about providing and constructing good roads. Liquor is just for some but good road is required by all.
Good is required for all ,yes it's TRUE...However government is giving money every year for construction of good roads even for the remotest areas ,but our leaders and contractors are misusing those funds ..
@@toshilalkr7231 yes it's TRUE I agree . But what I'm saying is every year they are sanctioning money for road upgradation and better connectivity but they are misusing those funds...And to lift NLPT act is also good on one side since it will generate a reasonable amount of revenues for our state .
I cannot believed how our society is slowely being addicted to the things/substance we spend decades fighting not to get addicted from. Money (revenue) 💰 is the root of all evil.
If NBCC is so much opposed of lifting NLDP 1989 act then go for strike n shut down all liquor shop in and out and make it 100% dry state ... And let the consumers to go to respective boundaries of Assam and buy themselves . since people of nagaland business man and women are paying double taxation in daily basis .
*_It is imperative to acknowledge the reality that alcohol consumption is ubiquitous in Nagaland, readily accessible in every nook and corner. The status quo of prohibition is untenable, and the state government must initiate measures to liberalize the market, thereby generating revenue from alcohol sales. Meanwhile, the Church should focus on its spiritual mandate and allow the state government to discharge its duties without any hindrance. The Church should solely concentrate on its spiritual responsibilities and refrain from obstructing the government's duties._*
the people should understand if the NLTP act is lifted their will be control environment on how many outlets can be or allowed to established or how much alcohol is allocated in one area .now its a wild west show their is wine shop in every hook and corner of Nagaland thats the ground reality. and if its lifted more youths can be employed as more bars, restaurant can be established. i should say the church shouldn't interfere in state matters maybe they should focus more on individual matters and check the morals of the individuals. THE chruch is killing people unintentionally. you cant stop people from alcohol those who are drinking is drinking and those who are not drinking they are not drinking. and if the act is lifted their should be strict rules and regulation impose on wine store i.e id card should be use and not to sell it to underage.now its kolem kola even children are buying because their is no rules impose will the CHURCH TAKE RESPONSIBLE FOR THOSE CHILDREN.
Just because NBCC is the largest denomination in Nagaland That doesn't mean other denominations don't have the right to say. Let Catholics, Protestants, Hindu etc too have their own freedom on expression.
Lifting is not even a solution. The objective should be to strengthen the NLTP act and to see that it is kept far away from reach as this will bring more harmony and peace to the broken families and society caused by Alcohol. Revenue of that few 500,600 crores which is also uncertain as to whether it will be put for development purpose is not equivalent to the health damages and disharmony it cause in the family and society as a whole. Regards
Those who are blaming Churches and Nbcc you are blaming yourselves we are the church....Khamo rightly say We may gain some revenue but we will spend more on consumption...

Nagaland government has lot more to do to generate revenue which can generate even more revenue then selling alcohol...why only focus on the revenue by selling alcohol?
one thing i realized as i watched the debate is that, the elected members who are against the lifting of the act, were also the ones who heavily distributed or used alcohol during election. The form of hypocrisy gets higher and higher when it comes to talking the reality.
Just lift it... liquor is available everywhere in nagaland coz lots of people are dying drinking inferior liquor moreover we are losing a good sources of revenue....
The basic best way to solve this NLTP problem is to just ban the factory if not, why don't we make strong regulations and law implemented with effective standards for goodness. There's no one who can't stop going Assam for alcohol shops the nagas every day. Most importantly the people psycho and attention needs to change.!!
Very funny that all this highly educated official starting from CM, Minister's, MLA's their educated personal secretaries and advisors come up with the only option for revenue generation in nagaland by allowing NLTP act to be scrap. Is this the only way for revenue generation??? Or is it the highest limit we have in our Brain for revenue generation??? Can't the govt of nagaland think of any other revenue generation program or ideas in their Brain??? Is NLTP act the only option for revenue???? They talk about better Alcohol qualities and controlling diluted Alcohol. Question is- ILP still cannot be controlled, unabated taxation cannot be controlled, cap price set by municipal in their own municipal areas can be implemented and many more including law and order cannot be implemented by all department of nagaland and interestingly They're are here talking about controlling bad Alcohol or diluted Alcohol.

Why they are trying to open, when everything is opened.
If it is legal, we will get better quality products and the revenue will go to the government instead of those under ground people and ghundas who are running the liquor business
Thanks Khamo for his words of wisdom . May God continue to bless you n over come Evil with good 👍
Congrats to K. Khamo for enlightening more on pros and cons of NLTP act. Govt must come up with more strighten acts/ laws to implement NLTP in Future.
Congratulations sir K khamo, may God bless you.🙏

Nagaland was never a dry state anyway, let the act be lifted!!!!
NBCC interfering with the govt shows that they have been involved in politics also, from long back.
If legislators are so afraid of church and their influence. Why don't they resign and let church take care of State affairs.
59 out of 60 mlas are under NBCC too. 😂 and they all are Christian after all so and they will never resign for that 😂
Please talk about providing employment to educated youths and economic reforms and roads and upgrading Govt. Healthcare system. Discuss about review on Reservation. Reservation should be given based on economic status and not based on tribes. High class and well to do family among the BT are befitting the reservation and genuine downtrodden aspirants are not getting the reservation. Kindly review that because India is a welfare and socialist state. Jai hind, Kuknalim
Yes next issue is reservation
They talk about act effecting our economy but we all know chor ghan kun ase. Misa misi evryyear y only talk about NLTP act. What about the other areas of failures.
According to Sir Khamo, wet state's like Assam, Meghalaya etc have more broken families, more alcohol related health issues etc
Salute to Sir Khamo for his wisdom and understanding the ill effect of alcohol
Is lifting the NLTP Act the only source of revenue for Nagaland???
@@calongalong3866 what's your point sir, is it for all the students till they attain the age of 37 or something else sir
@@luke-ld8tvit was a one time policy of the government.
Nearing 35, say 34yr old aspirant got +2 =till 36 yrs meaning one more year to appear. 35 yr old +2 meaning till 37yrs meaning 2 extra years. For ages 33 and below, no advantage though as it was for recruitment for the next two corresponding years only(not sure but till 2022 only).
I hope this clarifies your doubt.
NBCC is not for the common man they only love thier doctrine and ideology. We want affordable and good quality liquor. Our Minister Yhome is right NBCC is more like a Islmic Religious Police .
True, he's so right. Our state is nothing more than a Pharisees State, where prestige(pride) fashion is deeply rooted and just watch out they won't back down coz their Pride is at stake now.
Moatoshi Longkumer is dancing in the Assembly, CM Rio is drummer for the benefit of his resort. Another side, Church leaders & believers are crying. God will curse us definitely if NLTP Act removed. Regretted to cast my vote to the anti church MLA.
Why NBCC is getting involved in Government policies?

I am no saint here..i too drink alcohol and i knw its bad. But for the sake of economy and unemployment i think its not justified for our people to forsake the promise we made with our Lord Almighty. If the govt is serious than I think there are many areas where they can work to improve our state. Also if alcohol is freely flowing in our society thn other antisocial elements such as drugs, flesh trade will follow. There is no society where alcohol hv brought solution.

Alcohol bring nothing good in any family
Besides nbcc and church leaders are humans all of them are imperfect but they won't wish something bad for their people.
NLTP act should be once again reinforced implementing strictly by government as needed by Churches
Respect n we support NBCC stand . God bless Nagaland ✝️🙏🏼
What about da adulterated alcohol people r drinking n dying..?
Class 2 fail knowledge
Hahah.. please get education as soon as possible
Another hypocrite 😂😂
On those days People might have demanded to crucify Jesus in this way... It's a joy when we hear Nagaland must be for Christ
As a christian i fully stand with NLTP act ✝️🙏
A live public debate between legislators and the NBCC leaders should be arranged ! That is my challenge to both parties !
Evenif nltp act is lifted. Owner of wine shop will be non locals in nagaland.
With regards to NLTP Act
Health should be the first priority,
Yes economy will be boosted but the health of the concern public is more important. If it got lifted then more number of alcohol consumer will increase so keeping in mind about the future Nagaland, steps/decision should be taken..
It will decrease in the long run..
Please talk about ILP first
Forget about the state Revenue, instead think about the people of Nagaland..
Its time to break down barriers n lift the NLTP act.... Lets create a more inclusive society....
Good roads can earn more revenues than the much talked about NLTP Act.
Whether lift the Act or Not only Rio will enjoy. Period

Public appointed you dear MLAs not NBCC. Stop dancing on their tune.
NBCC is the public😂😂😂 they know if they lift NLTP next election they'll get only few votes from drunkard like you.
Point
And many people also don't support lifting of NLTP.
just because some drunkards shout on the social media doesn't mean it represent the entire Nagas
Just because NBCC is the largest denomination in Nagaland
That doesn't mean other denominations don't have the right to say.
Regards
God bless more right wisdom to our Leaders
Those who are blaming Churches and Nbcc you are blaming yourselves we are the church....Khamo rightly say We may gain some revenue but we will spend more on consumption...

NLA should just vote in favour of lifting the NLTP Act 1989.
We the public convey message to the minister s ,if you want to enjoy on your chair don't discuss NLTP or think about to lift up NlTP and to get money never you want but rather you will be out in legislative..Cos public elect you n you must know public against To Lift up NLTP ok.
I'm not against it so don't be self entitled to be speaking for every naga
Because they are concerned about their health 😂

Did public has chosen CM to lead Our Nagas peoples in promoting Evil ways.!! What.????.
The NLTP act’s failure is a testament of the government’s lack of effective leadership. The concerned authority has FAILED MISERABLY to regulate on this law. When legislation is enacted it is meant to be implemented and enforced, not merely for symbolic purposes but to ensure tangible compliance and effective governance.
I can only imagine the economic dent it will wheeled out of the innumerable family pockets which cannot be conveniently ignored let alone the increase in the consumption of alcohol be it cheap or not.
It’s absurd to think that the Govt can effectively monitor the quality of liquor when they can’t even control the act of regulation itself!!
God forbid, but I wont be surprised if the number of death toll increases with the lifting of this very act.
I fervently hope that the rate of the alcohol addiction does not rise in the days ahead.
People that are going against the church should really be careful of what they are doing...
Do a card system:
1. Membership card for 1500-2000 for a year.
2. In this card a person should only recharge 150-200 to buy alcohol per day or lesser money.
3. Age should be 18-50 or more for eligible of the membership.
4. The Excise and NGO bodies will check all the unwanted sellers and closed down after liquor act lifted.
5. Lastly alcohol is injurious to health, consume at own risk. No insurance for the dead due to alcohol and so and so.
Wake me up when they really lift NLTP act.
