God I love the actor that plays Murad.
You can see the sadness, then disgust and anger in his eyes as he executes someone he trusted.
they thought he is Sultan Suleiman (The magnificent) who forgives people, they didn't know this one is traumatised
You mean his father Sultan Ahmed. Sulaiman executed people that helped him during his reign. E.g Ibrahim he also killed his own son Shehazde Mustafa.
@@Imperator-vo4toIbrahim got ahead of himself mustafa's execution was unfortunate but still Suleiman is called the lawgiver so ya he was forgiving too
@@Imperator-vo4to BOTH IBRAHIM AND MUSTAFA WERE BETRAYERS.
Sultan Murad was enthroned when he was 10 years old and being put behind while his mother reign as Regent. At 20/21 years of age, he came out and ruled as one of the strongest, most intelligent and fearsome Sultan! All this was because he did not want to suffer to the fate like his older brothers.
@Don Khan Khan Don his older brother osman the second was the first sultan to be killed by his subjects (janissaries). He was around 16 years old at the time when he was beaten, paraded around the people, assaulted and god knows what else before being executed. This had a profound effect on murad seeing his brother killed like that which is why he was very harsh and had no mercy on anyone corrupt and rebellious. Though he was cruel for the first time in decades murad managed to end the internal rebellions and corruption during his reign.

The way Metin had potrayed the role of Sultan Murad Han IV was just beyond perfection. Just loved the way he bought the character to life. I can personally bet even if the real Sultan Murad Han IV would have been present to see it he would definitely be awestruck.Kudos once again for providing us audience with such a fantastic masterpiece. MY MOST FAV CHARACTER FROM THE SECOND SEASON of MUHTESIM YUZYIL❤️❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍😍.
He was depicted well. But the size of the real one I guess was bigger. That's why he was able to carry on those giant weights.
Goosebumps every time he walks in and the background goes with bagpipes.
7:40 A good example of how 'sound mixing' is utilized for dramatic expression, conveying an otherwise hard to picture, 'being gradually overwhelmed with rage and shutting off sensory input'. Good work.
Murad IV was a badass among badasses. He could lift that mace by himself, despite it was heavy enough to be carried by two people. Shame he couldn't live longer.
Physically he surpassed Selim The Shia Slayer I wonder what would he do if he reigned long as Suleiman
This is the most powerful scene of this series. I don't remember how much time i have watched this scene and i keep on watching again😍. I love sultan murad for what he did. Killed the rebellious people. Created law And order again. Started a new era of victories. Cause after Sultan Sulaiman. None of the sultan are capable to achieve any victories like Sultan Murad had achieved in so young age... He died at the age of 27. If he lived little more I'm sure he would conquered more cities from Christian and his enemies..
The conquer of Baghdad❤️. After sultan murad conquered baghdad so none of the enemies had enough power to take back baghdad from ottomans. Baghdad was the territory of the ottoman Empire till early 20th century..
Love you Sultan Murad.
People will say he was cruel or tyrant but believe me he faces many problems in his life. He sees his own brother Sultan osman 2 death Infront of his eyes.
This happens in history that janasaries and soldier killed a sultan..
Sultan Murad reestablished the law and order in the country and vanished all the rebellious people from the country 🥰
If he shows mercy or didn't impose strict rules so his ending would be same like Sultan osman 2.. Who dies mercilessly in the hands of janasaries..
Once again love you Sultan Murad ❤️❤️

Sultan murad and soleiman are very strong sultan in Ottoman empire
The most strongest Sultan of Ottoman Empire was Sultan Selim I (1512_1520) who doubled the area of the empire in just 8 years. He filled the treasury of Ottoman Empire to its maximum extent to which no Sultan was able to reach. So, all the Sultans after him used his seal to commemorate his legacy. Bureaucrats, Officials, Janasaries and the army feared and respect him. But he was also the most cruel Sultan because such a sovereignty and power comes at the expense of cruelty. He deposed his father Sultan Bayazid (1481-1512) and killed two of his brothers and ten nephews. He also killed his maternal grandfather Ala ud dawla Bozkurt Bey. He killed 40000 Shias in Anatolia before the Battle of Chaldiran, massacre people in Dulkadir principality and in Egypt, killed seven of his Viziers and he also killed the rebel Janasaries.

@Galacticos Galatias after suleiman died selim 2 was not interested in state affairs and power was spread to viziers and the women. After 100 years corruption became rampant and janissaries held power as well. Osman tried to change the military but his downfall was that he was too young when he inherited the throne and he didn’t have a mother to back him. So there was no power from the harem and kosem wasn’t his actual mother. Resulted in osman death whereas murad when he was young he was shielded from danger due to his young age and kosem backing him. This was ok until he started getting older and rebellions were taking place again. In order to avoid the same fate as osman, murad took charge and he was an adult at that point but was also really strong. Man was a giant and pretty much the same personality as yavuz selim who was really tough. Murad restored order back to how it was in suleimans time where the sultan was respected and had full authority but only problem murad had was his liver disease resulting in him dying young and Ibrahim taking over which reversed everything murad built as Ibrahim was mad and weak

They like their hats. I can understand turbans and such but it's like a competition to see who has the biggest hat.
grand vezir and pashas had to wear them to get identified and each have different hats
Back in the days you couldn't exactly buy a Rolls Royce to show your wealth/power so I guess they settled with big ass hats.

When it comes that the traitor is one of his main minister... He must show his power and strong will to his subjects otherwise the system may fall.

That's one powerful emperor.
Sultan Murad IV's life ended tragically at a relatively young age. He died in 1640 at the age of 27, reportedly due to cirrhosis of the liver, likely exacerbated by his heavy drinking habits. Despite his efforts to enforce strict moral codes within the empire, including bans on alcohol and other vices, Murad himself struggled with alcoholism.
His death marked the end of a tumultuous but impactful reign, characterized by his efforts to reform and strengthen the Ottoman Empire, as well as his ruthless methods in dealing with perceived threats to his rule. While Murad's reign saw significant military successes and internal reforms, his personal struggles and the methods he employed to maintain power left a complex legacy that continues to be studied and debated by historians.

8:23 that speech is not appropriate. No one can not be the reflection of Allah. It can be sirk.
the Caliph yes, Khan means just king like shah in Persia or Rex in Europe (it was actually Princeps during the Roman era) but the title of Caliph is a religious title like the Pope and it ended with the Ottoman dinasty if you don't count the ISIS Calpih who is not accepted by majority of muslims
Maybe they didn’t say that irl, only in this dramatisation.
@@CEB1896 that speech is absolutely wrong.
It wasnt a comparison statement, its meant as an absolute praise to Allah. You totally misunderstood that line so be careful, you might cast the wrong aspersion simply because you misunderstood.
The Caliph is meant to follow Allah, that is what is meant as a reflection. What Allah Commands, the Caliph, as leader of the Muslims, must follow.
Just as a shadow follows or is a slave in movements to a being, a Caliph or any muslims, must follow what is Decreed by Allah. btw Shadow of Allah is also a title for Caliph. Both titles are a submission of the Caliph as a vicegerent and slave of Allah.
I hope that clears things up. The nuances and depth of language can translate poorly to English without understanding the meaning and context.

The only mistake Murat IV made was not reforming the jannissaries and curbing their influence over the Ottoman State.
Everyone who tried faced rebellion or death. They were elite soldiers stationed in capital and only standing army of Ottoman empire it was virtually impossible reform/remove them. Only Sultan Mahmud II was able deal with them by secretly hiring superior European army and exterminate all janissaries.
