What a gorgeous plant! Never seen these around here, but I shall keep an eye out from now on. Just checked online - found one I could order, but with P&P it would cost me nearly 30 bucks. I think I'm going to hold out for a bit. It's on my list now, and not budging from there until I get hold of one for a reasonable price.

I bought one about a week ago, i had never seen one before but as soon as i looked at it and touched it i knew it was a gesneriad. I even said to my mum "look its a huge, funky african violet, i must have it 😂"

It ia definitely very confusing because many gesneriads were classified by their physical appearance and not by their genetics, which is a REAL problem as so many gesneriads either look nothing like their close relatives or resemble other genera from miles away closely. Primulina and Streptocarpus/Saintpaulia (as they have also been absorbed into Streptocarpus now) probably are an example of convergence in body plan due to living in similar environments on different continents.
Primulina itself is also undergoing a big rejigging at the minute!

I have this plant and some leaves have some yellowing and after that browning on the leaf ends. I see that some of your leaves also have a little yellow on the ends. Is it because of underwatering? Or low humidity?
I live in Estonia, which has similar weather to the uk.
