I just got my first primulina. So excited to grow and bloom one. I love the leaf patterns on them. Limestone gravel is such a great tip!
Hello Mel...Love your presentation of these plants. They are lovely. Please, please, let me know what soil mixture you use. I dont have a primulina but assume I can probably use the same soil mixture for my African violet. Thank you. Fannie
Yay!
I'm having a bad cold, this is perfect for me to watch in bed with a big cup of tea. Thank you from Sweden, Scandinavia. 🇸🇪
Hi Thank you. I've been sitting on this video for a bit. We had a holiday here in the US so I took the time to edit it. If others have Gesneriad Zoom meetings which are worth posting I am willing to process and post them, however it may take me some time to get around to it.
Get well soon.
With regards to Mel's suggestion to use molasses chips, I've noticed there are two types, pure dried molasses and, a substrate sprayed with molasses. Does anybody know which one Mel uses?
Hello. I have been growing my Primulina under a grow light for the past year. Recently the leaves have started turning purple.. any idea why
Purple is usually anthocyanin production, the leaves produce to protect themselves from extreme light or low temperatures.
@@lbhajdu Wow!! The grow light is too strong then. Thank you! I live in Florida, so it's not the temperature. ☺️
