  • Rabbi Zechariah Wallerstein Founder and Director of Ohr Naava, was raised in Monsey, NY. Under the strong influence and guidance of his parents, he entered the chinuch world at the young age of 21. Since then, Rabbi Wallerstein has been in chinuch for 30 years, teaching and inspiring young adults in the Jewish world to return to their roots. The position of eighth grade boys' rebbe at Yeshiva of Crown Heights has been his for almost thirty years. He has gained the loving title of "Rebbe" to his students, who turn to him for chizuk, guidance and inspiration. His commitment extends far beyond the classroom, as his talmidim become his children, whom he continues to guide throughout the years. Rabbi Wallerstein gives two chaburas weekly, at Ohr Yitzchok for boys and at Ohr Naava for girls. Rabbi Wallerstein lives with his wife Estee, children and grandchildren in Brooklyn.
On June 15th, 2015 men and women of all backgrounds showed up to the Young Israel of Queens Valley in Queens, NY for a special lecture with Rabbi Zechariah Wallerstein. The event was presented by the CHAZAQ organization. Rabbi Wallerstein spoke about "Rationalizing"

    R'Zacharia Wallerstein,
Being at this lecture that night in one of the shuls in Queens Valley that night had such a huge impact on the way I look and process life. Thank you for your sincere efforts, and genuine intentions to help Klal Yisroel. Listening to this today again is such a privilege. Thank you for your valuable words of Torah and who you are in this world.

I don't know how many children Yehuda had, but if he knew his lineage was destined to be the kings of the family's descendants, I guess he should have trusted that G-d would make sure one of his children would have a child. Not that I'm saying I would have done better in his situation. But I guess he realized that by not giving his 3rd son to marry Tamar, he may have been getting in the way of G-d's plan. Is that correct?

I wish Christians would learn Judaism. It's so helpful. It's a huge missing link in our faith.
