They look like bats.(the monsters do) and they can hear but can't see at all. Then there is this weird group of survivors that want to repopulaze with the deaf girl. The messed up thing is; she is only 12 at the time. Then somebody makes a sacrifice and screams as loud as possible and kills the other faction. The family goes on to a snowy area, and then they find one of the girls friend and they live there with him from now on. Pretty short summary, but good movie overall.
