@@MB-xe8bb so, losing over half of initially occupied territory, and taking tremendous losses for minimal gains every time they try to advance is close to achieving their goals in your book? I guess if their goals are to demilitarize themselves and make NATO expand, then yes.

Thanks Georgie! Macron just said Ukraine's Winter Offensive in December is going to determine the outcome of the war with peace talks likely coming in 2024. I definitely concur with what you've said, Ukraine sees no benefit to wasting immense resources trying to advance during rainy season. In Bahkmut Zellensky clearly said at 1 Ukrainian soldier lost to 5 Russian that continuing to defend the city despite Western allies urging Ukraine to abandon it was in Ukraine's best interest. In Avdivka Ukraine is estimated to be losing 1 soldier for every 7 Russian. Ukrainian Command already said during rainy season they would be transitioning to a smaller infantry based advance where largely soldiers on foot would slosh through the mud, which I believe is what we are seeing in Kherson. The mud is too deep and unstable for heavy Ukrainian tanks and vehicles, Leopard2's, Challenger2's and M1A1's would get bogged down in the mud. Ukraine also knowing it's American support is currently frozen due to political infighting definitely want's to conserve it's resources for the Winter Counter Offensive which will start likely in December when the ground is frozen solid and can support heavy vehicles. The new 300KM range ATACMS are allegedly being delivered in January, mid-counter offensive which is likely to strike logistical hubs and prevent Russia from rapidly mobilizing to the main battleground. On Russia's part, they are believing Ukrainian re-enforcement's and retreat will be hampered by the mud which is why they are choosing now to attack in Bahkmut and Avdivka. Russia's strategy is fool hearty as of course their own vehicles are also hampered by mud. Ukraine's Bradley's, Humvees and MaxPro's can operate fairly well in muddy conditions.
There won’t be any peace until the Russians leave Ukraine and agree to respect its borders. No matter how much Putin would like Zelensky to offer appeasement it won’t happen
@@DavidOfWhitehills No Macron doesn't but Macron is present for behind the scenes talks with Ukraines leadership. France definitely knows in general what Ukraine is planning on doing. Ukraine doesn't always follow NATO advice as we saw when they spread their forces thin between North and South instead of using economy of force in a single direction. But while Ukraine doesn't always follow NATO advice, Ukraine does brief NATO on its plans. There's a lot of leaders saying the time to negotiate with Russia isn't now, including Macron who says the Winter Counter Offensive will determine the outcome of the war.
@@chrisrobert5252 I doubt Putin will do a full scale mobilization even after Russia's sham elections. Putin can't lose the elections anyways as Peskov stated himself, they aren't legitimate elections. Putin's main concern with a full scale mobilization is civil unrest and fracturing Russia bringing it to the brink if not into a state of civil war. Putin needs the Russian people to support the war at the very least a large enough portion of the population to avoid civil unrest on massive scale. Medvedev also just claimed 400,000 Russians have "voluntarily" enlisted in the Russian armed forces since they forced 300,000 in the last conscription. Though I highly doubt 400,000 Russians voluntarily enlisted it paints a picture that Russia is desperately trying to frame the war in a manner within which the public is supportive of the war effort. It would shock me if Putin did a general mobilization after Medvedev claimed 400,000 voluntarily joined the Russian military. Per the Government propaganda there's no valid reason for a mass mobilization. Lastly a huge goal of the Russian Federation has been ethnic cleansing by sending racialized minorities to the front to die and sending Prisoners to free up room in Russia's prisons. Russia has by in large tried to avoid sending ethnic Russians from Saint Petersburg and Moscow. This attempt by Russia to send racialized minorities and prisoners to die on the front lines would be undermined by Putin declaring a mass mobilization. There's a shortage of Russian men to begin with and a declining birth rate which Putin is all to familiar with. Russia already offered Russian women medals for having 5 or more babies. Putin doesn't want to lose ethnic Russians, he's trying to rebuild an ethno Colonial Empire.
Drones equipped with electromagnet could pickup tank mines and drop them on enemy positions. Conserving sappers, ammunition and allowing armor to penitrate through only personal mines left.
Tbh, I totally agree with the UAF plan to go to a defensive posture, especially through this winter. They can engage in probing attacks if they want, but like Georgij says, if the orcs want to grind themselves down on the Ukrainian defenses then fine. Let them.
I agree that F16's will be used for HV targets early on - they can launch armaments from the air that are currently being launched from the ground, and a missile that is attached to an airframe that is travelling at 300-400kmh will travel a lot farther than that same armament when it is launched from a ground launcher. That will greatly increase their ability to hit targets at long range - especially since they will have access to NATO armaments. I hope/expect that this will be the main focus with F16's for the first year, as they won't have sufficient numbers to gain air superiority for a while, but they will get there.
Russian supply chains are stretched in Kherson and Zaporizhia and the mud will reduce their supplies even further as Russia's wheeled supply vehicles get stuck in the mud . Ukraine can launch limited liberation efforts in areas where Russian supplies are very low. The arrival of F16s are a pivot point which if properly used can give Ukraine localized areas of air superiority. The F16s have both the long radar and air-air missile range to take down these Russian FAB 500 bombers. A largely defensive posture right now while taking advantage of areas of opportunity makes the most sense until the F16s arrive.
Defence spending should be 2-3% of GDP if you're in NATO. A lot of countries aren't matching that. They could bring that up to 2% or more while replacing old planes, tanks, ammo etc with new stock while saving money on decommissioning the old stuff by sending it to Ukraine instead. Win-win.
Georgiy - had the ruzzians not blown the Khakova dam, would the AFU even be attempting these river crossings? I do see potential here. I can the AFU going southeast towards Crimea and eastward towards the Azov coast even attacking Tokmat from the south. I understand why the AFU will go into defensive mode this winter. My concern is that ruzzia will build and fortify more defensive lines. The west should have provided a lot more equipment and munitions to Ukraine a lot sooner. They still have not delivered everything promised. Ukraine must win for western democracy is at risk. Thank you Georgiy for all you do.
I've heard some UA ex military stating that this was the original plan. But it was just words and they never produced a shred of evidence to support that claim. It is a valid concern, but there is little alternative. However, it is important to note that UA capabilities have increased significantly so it wont be an undisturbed digging like last year.
I do worry a bit about UA going into the defensive waiting game because last year they were well on the way to Svatove and Kremina with the orcs on the run when the rains started and the advance stopped. They waited then for better weather and western weapons which both took long enough to allow the orcs time to dig in, lay their mines and build defences. We all know how difficult it then became to attack. Hopefully it won’t be too long this time until the new weapons arrive and the weather will be more accommodating. I still believe in the determination of Ukraine whatever happens. 🇺🇦❤️
Georgie thanks for the pep talk because im not gonna lie the western media is def getting to me im alittle scared but i trust everything you say but im still human....
Ukraine should be worried about a huge drop in foreign military aid, I believe they need to cherry pick certain systems that they can supply, manufacture/repair locally in the near future, such as producing 155mm shells for M-777, focus on upgraded T-series tanks with a small number of Leopard 2 for elite tank units, and perhaps focus on M113 and Marder IFV's to compliment the BMP force. I also don't understand why there was no option to take over the Italian force of ARIETE MBT's which ITALY wants to replace, check this vehicle out I think it's actually pretty good.
Your honesty is amazing. I prefer that over propaganda. Yes, Ukraine is doing very well, but that doesn't mean they're not working very hard to keep their land. RU is trying very hard to crack the nut... but at the same time their stu... lack of intelligence is making that a really hard nut to crack... Just watched a Starsky video showing how RU is struggling providing something as basic as water to "their own"... when that becomes difficult... perhaps stop fighting others... (Rome had water supply in check more than 1000 years ago)
What you're saying about the planes getting donated "If it's not a MiG, you're screwed... because UA isn't using those unless it's high priority" 😂 In that regard, thanks to the NL wasn't it something like 20 frames being promised for their first wave? Kinda outnumber our (DK) 4 by 4 promise. Even 1 western jet hooked up to the NATO network would be bad news to the kremlin... let a single HARM ride along and UAF will know all the radars within 150km... Tell that info to the artillery guys, the jets won't even need to shoot.
It is probably difficult for Russia to move down to the Dnipro front. Ukraine (and the US) is probably monitoring all roads south. Any large units moving south are going to be artillery magnets. Russians could bring troops up from Crimena, but they may not have a lot of armor and infantry down there to move north. Their only other option would be to move troops in the north back into Russia and then bring them up. But it sounds like Ukraine has pretty good artillery coverage for most of Crimea.
They need to add Helicopters gunships & transport to mix of weapons being sent long term. F16 great but they need upgrades on close support as well to get full combined arms effectiveness. We need to step beyond 1 & 2 systems & give Ukraine the capabilities our troupes expect.
As per one video, how to use Leo1 A5, in mobile combat, with good optics, precise gun and targeting. Except for AMX 10, it is light, and as 200 pcs are expected, ... in future it might be moved across Dnipro, and used in small fast armored attacks, since massive attack acros Kherson towards Krim with multiple armoured brigades seems impossible. Or maybe despite it seems impossible,
BigMac at JoeBattleBlog recon it will be 'very interesting' over the next few days around Kherson with the Russians having brought about half or 18k of the reserve troops in Crimea towards the eastern bank.
@UkraineMatters Could the recent russian initiative in multiple spots on the frontline be related to the new inflow of 152mm shells from N. Korea? They reportedly got about 1 million rounds, Im guessing this allows them to sustain their preferred tactics, i.e. the high intensity artillery barrages for a few months.

Thank you to you and your team for the great job that you always do for us all.
Stay safe brother

Thanks for your sense Georgie!
Win-win.
This is Ukraine's Inchon or Normandy: high rish but high reward.
Thank you for sharing this information

If the Russians still had the dam, they could raise river levels whenever they liked.
With a bit of luck the unstable ground of the former reservoir will freeze and allow new attack vectors across the river.
@@ADobbin1 fair point. They did need enough time for logistics to catch up. It’s just that too much time ended up passing.
we have been too fucking slow to supply arms to ukraine, at every step
Georgie thanks for the pep talk because im not gonna lie the western media is def getting to me im alittle scared but i trust everything you say but im still human....
I just wrote my representative in California. 💪🇺🇦
Thank you!! ❤

I trust the AFU is smarter than me and if they play the long game to save some soldiers lies I agree as I just watch.
What you're saying about the planes getting donated "If it's not a MiG, you're screwed... because UA isn't using those unless it's high priority" 😂
In that regard, thanks to the NL wasn't it something like 20 frames being promised for their first wave? Kinda outnumber our (DK) 4 by 4 promise.
Even 1 western jet hooked up to the NATO network would be bad news to the kremlin... let a single HARM ride along and UAF will know all the radars within 150km...
Tell that info to the artillery guys, the jets won't even need to shoot.
Then there is, Spain, Italy, France, Belgium, Netherlands, UK, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Romania, Bulgaria

Trust the armed forces of Ukraine Georgij has been saying that from the beginning and he's right Slava Ukraini
Or maybe despite it seems impossible,
Hi Igor 👋
@@Alie01 Hi Alie👋
BigMac at JoeBattleBlog recon it will be 'very interesting' over the next few days around Kherson with the Russians having brought about half or 18k of the reserve troops in Crimea towards the eastern bank.
We ❤ Mac!
Powerful ally, winter
Winter will cause more casualties than Ukraine can inflict in the same time span
