This brought tears to my eyes. I was raised in the LDS Church. My husband is not a member and we have been married almost 52 years. All my children, 5 daughters, have been baptized in my church. One chose to leave to join the baptist church and it breaks my heart. I know in my heart she will see someday that the church is true. I also have a friend who is baptist and has told me that she believes I am a member of a cult because we have the Book of Mormon and that we do weird things in our Temples. I pray one day she will see that is not true and it was very hurtful to me.

This is conversion to a religion, not a conversion to Christ. If he truly knew Christ in his heart he could not "convert" to anything. He already had it all - the way, the truth, and the life.
I stumbled across this video. It is clearly very emotional. It is an emotional story. But as an outsider, it seemed strange to me. If the guy was so committed to his Baptist faith, why on earth would he marry a Mormon, a people he said were lost? And why would a Mormon marry outside her faith? So much for marry "only in the Lord." He then tells us that he allowed his children to go to and join the Mormon Church, which he tells us he did not believe in. So much for Christian headship. We then move on to grandchildren etc. It seems to me that this guy just wanted to be happy with his family.
Thank you so much bro. Jim for sharing your testimony, I was in tears while watching this and feeling the truthfulness and sincerity of your story. Eduardo, this is JIM. I’m 11 months late answering you and I’m sorry about that but I do very little on social media. The reason I agreed to do share my testimony was the hope that the Lord might use it to help others learn the truth of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. That it may make a difference to those who wish to share it is my prayer.
Why do Christian churches say we should not trust our promptings and feelings? The Bible does say the Holy Spirit/Ghost will testify truth to us. The Holy Spirit is called the spirit of truth: John 16:13.
By standing on a solid rock that doesn't change, you should believe that Jesus would not contradict God, and the Holy Spirit will NEVER contradict either. The 3 are in agreement. See 1John 5:7-8. This is why we are called to TEST every Spirit, because Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. God is TESTING everyone read Deuteronomy 13. The enemy is still playing the same DECEPTION as he has from the beginning. He wants us to DISOBEY GOD's COMMANDMENTS and FEASTS. These are God's APPOINTED TIMES, not Christmas and Easter. These are holidays made up by man and are not mentioned in the Bible. Passover , Unleavened Bread, and First Fruits ARE God's Feasts to celebrate Jesus. Pure sacrifice and resurrection; the Feast of Trumpets, Atonement, and Tabernacles is the time of Jesus birth when Angels announced His birth, and He Tabernacled with us.
You add a heavenly mother and a spirit of Christ ( force) . 3 gods turn into 4 ,1 spirit turns into 2 spirits . Nowhere near what the trinity ( Godhead) is.
I meant to “Family’s conversions” FIRST, as well as your “Family conversations ...” SECOND - “... taking place WITH them, with prayer & study”. My txting just got way ahead of my thinking 🤔 💭 on this, LOL.
The Gospel is the Good news that God The Father sent His only Son Jesus Christ into the world to live a perfect life and die on the cross to pay the penalty for the sins of His people. His body was placed into a tomb and He was raised to life three days later. Anyone who will repent and believe that gospel will be saved. There was nothing about Christ in this whole testimony.
@@samnicolds7096 I didn’t miss it, I’m simply pointing out that the LDS religion is a completely different religion from Christianity. Christianity is completely based around the person and work of Christ. LDS is completely around feelings. I’m not hating just sayin.
@@katbos4995 the Holy Spirit would not put forth contrary doctrines to the His word that He gave to the writers of the Bible. You're interpretations are the ones mistranslated!
Salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. Full stop. No one will stand before Christ at the great white throne judgment boasting on what they did. Not going to work.
There is no knowledge of the Truth like that which is confirmed by the witnessing power of The Holy Ghost sent from God the Father. The revelation and confirmation of The Truth is the calling and responsibility of The Holy Ghost and none other. NO MORTAL MAN ever had that power. Adam couldn’t do it, nor Moses or Abraham. The Twelve Apostles didn’t and don’t have that power, nor did Joseph Smith or Brigham Young, nor any other Prophet ancient or modern. Neither did John Wesley have that power, nor did John Calvin or Martin Luther. And no Catholic Pope or Cardinal ever had it either. Confirmation of ETERNAL TRUTHS never has, and never will, come by flesh and blood... “When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.” The ancient prophet, Moroni, of the House of Israel’s Tribe of Manasseh, while living in the ancient Americas about the year A.D. 421, recorded the same Truth... “Now I, Moroni, write somewhat as seemeth me good; and I write unto my brethren, the Lamanites; and I would that they should know that more than four hundred and twenty years have passed away since the sign was given of the coming of Christ. And I seal up these records, after I have spoken a few words by way of exhortation unto you. Behold, I would exhort you that when ye shall read these things, if it be wisdom in God that ye should read them, that ye would remember how merciful the Lord hath been unto the children of men, from the creation of Adam even down until the time that ye shall receive these things, and ponder it in your hearts. And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost. And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things. And whatsoever thing is good is just and true; wherefore, nothing that is good denieth the Christ, but acknowledgeth that he is. And ye may know that he is, by the power of the Holy Ghost; wherefore I would exhort you that ye deny not the power of God; for he worketh by power, according to the faith of the children of men, the same today and tomorrow, and forever.” The good and faithful man bearing his personal witness of Truth in this video was led to the same Truth in the same way the Apostle Peter and the Prophet Moroni did: by the confirming witness of The Holy Ghost sent to him by God The Father in answer to his faithful prayer and honest desire to know.

You missed it, don’t fret you’ll get it someday!🙂
@@samnicolds7096 I didn’t miss it, I’m simply pointing out that the LDS religion is a completely different religion from Christianity. Christianity is completely based around the person and work of Christ. LDS is completely around feelings. I’m not hating just sayin.
Scripture is not determined by the feelings or testimony of man. God determines his word.
Truth rescue : actually, the Bible says it is: John 16:13
@@katbos4995 the Holy Spirit would not put forth contrary doctrines to the His word that He gave to the writers of the Bible.
You're interpretations are the ones mistranslated!
Salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. Full stop. No one will stand before Christ at the great white throne judgment boasting on what they did. Not going to work.
amen!!!
And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.”
The ancient prophet, Moroni, of the House of Israel’s Tribe of Manasseh, while living in the ancient Americas about the year A.D.
And ye may know that he is, by the power of the Holy Ghost; wherefore I would exhort you that ye deny not the power of God; for he worketh by power, according to the faith of the children of men, the same today and tomorrow, and forever.”
The good and faithful man bearing his personal witness of Truth in this video was led to the same Truth in the same way the Apostle Peter and the Prophet Moroni did: by the confirming witness of The Holy Ghost sent to him by God The Father in answer to his faithful prayer and honest desire to know.
Jim.
WHY?
Why would you ever consider Mormonism given their long and current history of bigotry?
Why is it that when a LDS becomes Baptist they are full of hatred but when the Baptist becomes LDS their eyes are full of tears. Mormons what did you do to them???
Joey Feliciano, tears are in their eyes because their hearts are softened. And unfortunately too often when they leave, they are full of hatred and their hearts are hardened. It all comes down to where our hearts are.

Ah ok!
@@jlarryd no, because you treat them as sons of perdition .
Quit trying to take people out of their church by you're counterfeit view of Apostasy and restoration .
Truth is Truth and Mormons don't have it! He apparently hasn't heard of calling his wife from the grave LOL!
The book of Morman is a vile heresy.
have you read it I mine read it not just look and make blind commet
It is the most beautiful book I've ever read. God's message for us.
@eric there is no law against a man's beliefs, but I testify to you that the Book of Mormon is true.
Take away hatred and pride from your heart, and you will come to know by the power of the Holy Spirit that it is.
So sad that this man was bewitched by a false gospel (Gal. 1:6-9). Feelings are not a biblical method of discerning truth.
sad, another one deceived, well the scripture says we are not to be unequally yoked, shouldn;t have married a mormon
