I think the engines sounds have improved since this video, at least from your own car. The sounds while spectating aren't great yet, the cars do sorta sound like they operate with on/off switches and you don't really hear them go through the gears and stuff. It's a work in progress, hoping that's something that improves.
if your wheel works normally with other games, I think the game should automatically detect it and allow you to set the controls in game. If its not detecting your wheel at all, than you probably need drivers for it.

Idk that the XDRL exists anymore. XPS runs in the PDRA as far as 1/8 mile competition goes.

I think you can edit your nickname in your Steam profile which should change your name in game.
