- After months trying to line up schedules and figure out the time to connect, I finally got to sit down and have a conversation with Nico Sallach and Kevin Ratajczak of Electric Callboy! This is one of my favorite interviews to date, and we had so many laughs throughout the entire thing. Watching this two years ago, I would have chuckled when Tank said "just take the easy route and do a cover" not knowing that they would totally smash Everytime We Touch. Touché Tank, you win
What is funny is I was at a christmas party here in Denmark and my buddy put on Hypa Hypa like 7 times and by the second time it went on, everybody was singing and jumping. Thats how I learned about the band. It was great!

What really works for these guys is that they embrace the reaction scene instead of claiming everything like most bands do. And they are a textbook case for how it can actually help you.
To be fair, it's mostly the publishers dealing out copyright claims without the bands ever knowing.

I believe in Nico. He's such a nice guy (despite the fact that he doesn't like Metallica :P), he's a great singer and he perfectly fits into the band. He's proven it a few times already as every single with him was a total success :) I already got tickets for their first show in Munich. Hope it won't be delayed.

This is so funny - I knew the "name" Eskimo Callboy for so long. I always thought "Hey good metalcore group".... so now we are in 2022, my girl and me looked through the Summerbreeze Bands which we are not that familiar. I told her "Hey, Electric Callboy might be a special of Eskimo Callboy".. We listenend to the current setlist and were flashed. I then listenend to older stuff - which is ok - but since Nico joined them, they blew my mind. As 43 old metalhead I am looking forward seeing them live (saw them earlier but it was more like sitting somewhere and havin a beer, just chillin) - I will still be havin the beer, but the anticipation is big! Great interview!

My grandparents migrated from Germany, making me a 2nd generation American In my family. I can't explain how soothing it is to hear Germans speak English. I may be biased but it gives me such comfort hearing you guys speak English. It reminds me of my Grandparents, who both passed away in 2006.
As for Electric Callboy's music, I cannot properly convey in writing how good it makes me feel. Your songs are so fucking fun. I cannot hold back my enjoyment when I listen to your songs. Keep doing what you're doing, it's amazing.

Late comment, I know, but midway through, it's adorable to me how Nico is so confident in the videos as an actor, and somewhat shy in this interview.
The weird, grammatically, or even contextually incoherent, but melodically catchy lyrics has been one of the major contributions of the Swedish pop producer invasion. This has been their secret sauce for 2+ decades or so.
I sat down with no intention of watching this all in one sitting, and before I knew it the interview was over. Really cool guys, really great interview, thank you for continually putting out great content!!
On a separate note, you broke me Tank. Things are getting busy with life and the holidays and I haven't been keeping up with my daily requests for Thundergod. Most important thing is that you keep making these awesome videos to raise awareness for these super talented bands, but I hope you eventually have a day in your schedule for Thundergod. Or at the very least, a voice in the back of your head saying "Day 327 of asking for a reaction to Thundergod" every time you read your comments :)

Started the video with the intention to have a break or two in the middle. Longer videos are often kind of boring, especially interviews.
Before I could even register it the outro was played.
This did not really feel like an interview but more like a discussion between friends you get to listen to and even have the illusion of participating in despite it being a video.
At least 2 thumbs up from me.

A year ago I discovered Electric Callboy by sheer coincidence. That was the happiest coincidence for me for the last couple years.
I've been a fan of these dudes since the muffin purpur gerk days, it's amazing to see them finally get the fame they deserve, like really. It's amazing.
I LOVED this interview. I really did. The questions were great and you could see, how Nico and Kevin got more comofortable with the situation. As an upcomming Journalist myself I have to admit, this is one of the best interviews I have EVER seen. Keep up the great work, Tank.

My First time seeing Eskimo Callboy live was when they toured with To the Rats and Wolves in 2012 and I loved those Shows the most . When I heard that Sushi is leaving the Band I was shocked, but the time I realised the new singer will be Niko I knew it was going to be awesome. And thanks to them I now know Tank, so all went even better than expected! Keep up your work, I really enjoy your Videos!

I'll be 2 days out from finishing my recovery (6 weeks out from my surgery date) on the day of the show so depending on how I feel will be how wild I get. I bought VIP tickets for myself and one of my former co-workers so I will be there for sure!!

Great Job, Tank - well done. It reminds me of the good old days with Vanessa Warwick on Headbangers Ball. You have a believable background, a cool way of explaining something and show respect to the bands / members and their work. As a viewer I can receive a lot of information e.g. about the instruments , members and also links to the videos, tour dates or release dates. I would love to see you on this channel with bands in a live interview in a studio and I am convinced that you could fill this slot perfectly. Also it would be great to see / meet you here in Germany on a tour shortly after this pandemic is under control. Keep it up with your great work - looking forward to your next reaction video. These guys seem like the chillest guys ever and i like that energy! As you mentioned Tank i have a whole spotify playlist of death core bands that i have discovered by watching reaction videos on youtube! and I am honestly so happy i watched those videos because it has allowed me to open up to a whole brand new genera that i didn't like before

These guys come across as bright and down to earth which comes thru in their music...its super accessible...even to my 85yr old rocker mom! I took her backstage at a Rammstein show and she tells me later, she's afraid of Germans! What? Loved the show, but the perfectly lovely band scared the shit out of her! Now she's addicted to Eskimo Callboy...and I have to tell her the band are more perfectly lovely Germans...she's in! Thanks, Nico!

About how I discovered the band: In 2013 I was a photographer at a small club in Israel and the first Eskimo Callboy song I heard was "Is anyone up?" And honestly, I fell in love!
When I heard "We got the moves" for the first time recently, I have not left it until now and shared it with friends!

I really Love them way you talk to your guests!! You listen and let them talk, it's so easy to follow and enjoy. Plus you put some really good statements in between and it gives such a wholesome feeling, like talking to an good friend!

Awesome interview. Those guys seem like so much fun. One thing that stuck out to me was when you asked them about getting someone to look over their lyrics to make sure that they made sense in English. This reminded me of listened to early Chunk! No, Captain Chunk!. They are French and were still learning English when they put out their first record and you can hear it in some of their lyrics, both in the fact that they had grammatical errors but also in the fact that they were trying to write their lyrics for an American audience, while learning British English.
Also, at the end where you were talking about people sharing around music allows people to learn about new bands, I was sings in my head Opposite of God by Can't Swim (one of my favorites of the year), which I wouldn't have known about if it wasn't for your reaction video to them.
