My family visited Saipan, Titian, Guam, and Japan for 3 weeks recently. We learned the horror of the fighting. Army tanks, bunkers, cannons, artillery, and pieces of metal and fired and unfired munitions still are in place where they fell during the fighting. Bones are still found in the caves, crashed airplanes are still in the jungle and ocean floor where they crashed. God bless your uncle. May we endeavor to learn of what they endured and sacrificed to preserve the freedoms that we enjoyed for 78 years since.
My grandfather was the same way. A soft spoken great, nice man, started a dairy farm on his own with right at 5000ac of land, he was amazing. Now that he's passed his sons have gotten out of the dairy business and have sold 15/16s of the land he worked so hard for. Only for greed and money with no thoughts of keeping it for the family like he so wanted it to be. Complete pieces of shit they are.

My respect, admiration and sympathy for your dad and uncles and for you. I had an uncle who survived the Japanese invasion of the Phillipines, years in their captivity, and even the sinking of the prison ship transporting him to Formosa. The Japanese crew was rescued, leaving thousands of POWs in the ocean without even life jackets. By morning, all but five were gone. One of them made it home to tell what happened.

That's why envy is one of the seven deadly sins. I'm not religious but I appreciate the wisdom in this. Covetousness or envy, wanting what other people have, leads to wrath (another deadly sin), resulting in war. It will never end, but on the bright side, there are fewer wars and fewer war deaths in the 21st century than in the past.
Their decision to built the Bismark and Tirpitz was a huge strategic era. With the material and labor they could've constructed 20 (or more) U boats in half the time, practically doubling Dönitz's fleet at the start of the war. Undoubtedly a critical factor resulting in a diffent outcome

Strange, he makes me want to learn German. As for his voice, he was actually only imitating Kaiser Wilhelm II. We have very little audio of the Kaiser but if you hear it you will think you are hearing the Fuhrer. Germans were quite familiar with the Kaiser's voice at that time. 3:29 should have stated " the world's potential greatest power ". In no means was the US considered the world's greatest power in 1937. France had more military hardware and set defenses. Russia had more than double the troops in active duty than the US, 16 million more. Even Germany had 2 million more troops than the US and more of everything except naval ships. No, with the newness of German armaments without a doubt as the world soon found out Germany was the best trained and best equipped military in 1937. Had Germany not invaded Russia and continued to openly trade with them in food and raw materials, Skipped England except naval blockade and continual bombing and taken the fight to the US Atlantic coast while Japan skipped everything except the Philippines, Midway, and Hawaii we'd of had a different war. Not saying a different outcome but a much longer more occupational war. The Germans lost the war when they invaded Russia.

Even though I hadn’t been born yet, as an American, especially a New Yorker, I find all of this very interesting. I’m also a former Long Island resident. Well, unfortunately, I was relatively very close to the Twin Towers when we were hit, so I was not entirely spared being affected by a traumatic military tragedy within my lifetime. Peace to all.
Are you aware that the 9/11 attack was an inside job? Those towers were brought down by explosives in controlled demolition. Not by fires caused by airplane fuel. That means that those who controlled access to those towers were involved in bringing them down. Who controlled access to the buildings? Larry Silverstein and his pals in Israel. That’s who did 9-11 and murdered thousands of Americans in order to push the US to destroy Israel’s enemies. It was a carefully planned and very sophisticated operation that involved the CIA and the highest levels of the US government and military. But it was primarily an Israeli operation. Mossad. Like Jeffrey Epstein. Mossad did 9/11. The whole “war on terror” was all about Israel.
I’m not sure exactly how much you know about these attacks but just know it was plotted for Americans by Americans and 2 trillion dollars went “missing” from the Pentagon the same day, not to mention witnesses near the accident said they heard loud but repetitive booms, then look up videos of a controlled demolition and look at any other solid steel building in the world that has EVER burnt down due to a fire or even multiple floors being taken out…have fun in this rabbit hole just remember to follow the money…(this is all of course assuming you haven’t done your deep dive)
The US was far from a super power before the war the Army was minuscule compared to Germany, France, Britain, Japan and Italy. It had the potential to be an economic super power, which is what it became Prewar America was inwardly facing with nearly no interest beyond that

Yes but we had the biggest industry capabilities. So as soon as we entered the war you seen how many tanks, aircraft carriers, planes we produced. Shit if it wasn't for us the soviets wouldn't of had a mechanized army and Britain would of never been able to make a land invasion on Italy or France....

The Allies protested the Ruskie invasion of Poland. And there were even preparations to attack the Soviet oil fields in the Caucasus, because from there Stalin was providing fuel to the Nazis! Also, arms and ammunition were sent to Finland to help the Finns resist the Soviet invasion.
While it’s military wasn’t very large. America had more industry/resources and more ability to produce and provide instruments of war for itself and Allies. This was also less than 20 years after America entered WW1 and effectively brought the war to a close rather quickly. WW1 would have continued for a while if it wasn’t for America entering and helping he Allies bring the war to a close. Hitler knew this. He knew the potential threat America could become in the blink of an eye. It was a superpower whether they called it that or not.
They were a sleeping giant unwoken by the Axis powers and Japan first beforehand. They had the power and countries knew they were a world power. Let’s just say Germany invaded America just and one on one war America would be victorious by the simple fact that Germany would never be able to conquer America. Germany knew they couldn’t even conquer Britain maybe they were superior to British man power and such but invaded Britain or America would be a disaster. Let’s also say Germany decided to just fight Russia one on one Russia would lose so much but their man power would eventually override Germany. Germany should of never betrayed Russia and they would of been victorious and defeated Britain and France so quickly. Imagine if Japan make a pact as well with Russia and Germany along with Italy they would of conquered the whole world if they worked together as a team and worried first on just defeating the Allies. Can’t believe nobody stopped Hitler from invading Russia and told him of the consequences. They should of told hitler how badly they needed Russia because they knew at the time even if America was not involved yet they would of been eventually which they were. Hitler is the reason for Germanys downfall. Imagine if Germany won how different the world would be today. I lost history mane.

Nobody talks about the fact that Germany copied the Italian idea to bomb New York, Italy contrary to Germany had the planes for the job: ● Cant Z.511, a huge 4 engine transatlantic sea plane (larger than the p108 which was equivalent to a B17 for reference) ● S.M. 96, aka a bomber version of the S.M. 95 transport plane, used after the war as an airliner ● Piaggio P.123, a variant of the P.23R especially studied for the New York raid (the P.23R was itself an amazing bomber, it broke the speed with load record and the allies even included it in recognition charts for the war. ● BZ.308, used after the war as airliner but would have been equivalent to a B29 bomber ● P.127B which would have been equivalent to a B52 ● plus more projects and prototypes that were considered. Let's also remember that Italy flew to Japan before Germany did, and last but not least let's remember the Piaggio P.108 which was basically the only good strategic bomber of the Axis powers, all the german and japanese projects were unsuccessful, while the P.108 was used to bomb british oil refineries in Palestine, Bahrain, and to bomb Alexandria too. Italy had some of the best technology in the war but lacked the industrial capacity to mass produce it, it not only pioneered these technologies but also the theoretical doctrines, strategic bombing, torpedo bombing, or even just bombing considering they were the first to do it
In reality, they didn't. Submarines travelled mainly on the surface and dived for attacks and defense. They were refueled and supplied at sea by large "milkcows" ; large submarines built for that purpose
@edwardhalpin7503 I read about an American captain of a submarine who sneaked his Harley Davidson on board by taking it apart. This was especially unusual because space in a submarine is at a premium., but he did it, then when they landed at a forgien port, he would put his Harley together and ride, then take it apart all over again. Sounds like a fanciful tale but this was WWII, they were a different breed. The story had his name, I forget what it was.

It’s insane to think that in January 1945 Germany was thinking that few suicide missions would somehow alter the course of the war. It makes absolutely no strategic sense.
Saying that Pearl Harbor was the first time that America had been attacked within her own borders is a tacit admission that the state of Virginia was not in fact a part of the Union in 1861.
I mean technically he kept his word he never attacked the usa till Japan attacked petal harbor and we entered the war of Japan was their ally so he was kinda forced into a situation I feel a deeper understanding for the Germans side because I watched Hitler the greatest story never told it basically gives facts explanations and details that i woulda never known from history class about the atrocities done to Germans by the other countries before ww2 how after ww1 they were held down Germans in other countries either harrassed or killed so if theses things are true and as you saw from some of his speeches he didn’t wanna start ww2 he offered peace offerings and tried to open negotiations with pretty much every country before he attacked them and he was usually ignored or shot down and he hated seeing Germans suffer just like how I’m sure if we seen another country killing and torturing Americans we’d react to thats what he did his first “invasion” of Austria wasnt even an invasion they threw flowers and the nazi’s and cheered them and saluted their “invaders” history is written by the victors if you want all sides of history you gotta do a little more research I’m in no way a Nazi myself but I’m just sayin I can see where they were coming from I can see why they may not have liked us because we were “neutral” yet only supplying their enemies and snubbing them I’d be upset too lol
Lightfigher consider these facts. The Hindenburgs maximum range was over 8000 miles. They had massive carrying capacity up to 17 tons; they literally could carry other aircraft onboard which could redock on the zeppelin. Suitable for observation and seaborne torpedo planes. Possibly attack itself with scores of torpedos or bombs out of range of anit aicraft guns (max altitude 14,000 ft). Much faster than an aircraft carrier ship, it travels at 80mph, this peroformance was not accounting for engine and structural improvements. They could travel to the USA and Canada and back. In flight refueling could have extended these capabilities. You may also not realize it,had they been filled with helium they'd be nealry impossible to shoot down. These are not ballons they have very little pressure difference between the inside and outside so shooting a hole through it does little and could be repaired on the spot from inside. Since radar was not wide spread in the USA they could attack in daylight; once defensive measures were in place you could attack at night or in cloudy weather dropping up to 17 tons of explosives as much as 4 B-17s. So 100 Zepplins could have delivered the blow of 400 B-17s. This would also have forced the US and Canada to devote major resources to counter; since attacks could go over the poles to strike Detroit Chicago and other industrial centers. Had they concentrated simply on vunerable convoys; 10 zeppelins could launch 40-80 armed torpedo bombers similar to the british swordfish; let loose on mostly defenseless merchant ships would have been a devistating blow sinking entire convoys.
What you said above was a pipe dream and never ever got even a smidgen close to reality. My father was a WW2 vet. Many years after the war he met a U Boat captain who told him that he surfaced in Outer NYC harbor during the war and could see the lights of Manhattan. And I have heard this repetitively. Now Hitler could have sent a suicide sub to NYC. It may not have been able to get through the sub nets of the inner NYC harbor. But if it fired its torpedoes and sunk ships in the outer harbor it would really have upset everyone here including the government and then what. That would really have been interesting. Of course, our centers of production were mostly inland and protected. It would have been the psychological effect of sinking ships in NYC harbor that would have created an uproar.
Hitler didn't know about Arabs with fireproof passports and the ability to not be on any passenger list. Phew ! that was just as well !! Didn't need to "carry planes" on it. We'd see it floating towards us and run for cover/water ! 😅
where did you come up with fireproof passports and ability to not be on any passenger lists. Just interested. I might add the southern border is basically defenseless to entry as we all know. @@GerardVaughan-qe7ml

References to American Secret Service are grossly inaccurate. Secret Service was a protective agency under the Treasury Department to provide personal protection for high ranking government officials and to investigate currency crimes. German pilot losses were not the result of insufficient parachutes, rather insufficent training for new aviators.
Interesting and informative. Excellent photography job enabling viewers to better understand what/whom the orator was describing. Had Berlin postponed the war 1-year. Perhaps they would have had the aviation technology. For an air craft to travel to ( N.Y.C. ) Too much bureaucratic hurdles/confusion amongst Berlin/engineering/delaying or canceling vital projects. Remember all the delays with the ME 262 fighter jets??? Thanks to the disillusioned Hitler 😈 & Goring 😈 it was too late when they agreed to full production. Material/pilot/fuel shortages curtailed over all success.
Hey Snidely - if they had enough- The Zepplins range is so long that it could come from any direction. How do you detect them coming? They don't have much radar; and they have only a small airforce - are you going to spread it all across the country? Will you be forced to shift aircraft production to self defense? Mid 1941 the US only had 1000 figher planes - You have to protect the entire east coast, northern approach from Canada and probably most of the gulf coast. about 20 states; so that is 50 planes per state. They may come at night; they may come in clouds. If they do get helium; bullet holes do nothing; zeppelins have only slight airpressure difference between outside and inside so a bullet hole only creates a small hole which they can actually patch while flying. Zeppelins can carry aircraft so they can have defensive fighters; they can also loiter for hours .. so they can come in attract enemy fightes and pull back out of their range; then the fighters have to go back to refuel. In the Mid Atlantic while attacking ships they have little to no allied aircraft to deal with. If they allies try to bring catapult fighters or aircraft carries with convoys the Zeppelins could lauch their own fighters and torpedo planes from all directions. I think the Nazi's missed a major chance had they employed these I see no easy defence.
@@kurtvonfricken6829 Where are these 50 caliber rounds coming from? what sort of incendiary bomb could hit an airship; how do you get to the airship? A 50 caliber hole does nothing; even if you could somehow intercept in the darkness or fog; or clouds - airships have no significant pressure differnence between inside and outside so gas doesn't leak quickly and one could have time to patch small 1/2 in holes. You need to hit the airships superstructure or engines to do any actual damage; and this presumes they not only could be intercepted but that they were defensess; which they wouldn't be.

I had no idea until after he died in his old age. Never once did he ever speak of it. I think horribleness he must have experienced.
My dad a US Marine landed at Tarawa, Saipan and Guadalcanal. He survived all that to return home get married and travel the world he had helped to dominate and mostly pacify. He rarely if ever talked about the things he had seen and done.

My dad was a young teenager during WWII. His brothers served in Europe and the South Pacific. In fact, my uncle on one of the islands heard something whiz past his head. It was a Japanese poison dart. He would later die in the early 60's from taking Sulfa drugs which destroyed his kidneys. My other Uncle in Europe served under General Patton's 7th Army.
Americans had less casualties than many individual countries in Europe. Fact. Shows how much they actually did in WW2.
It was the Russians who liberated Europe!
@@klaatu-barada-nikto Judging a country's contribution to winning a war by number of casualties could seriously skew your picture of reality, even make the losers look like winners. It's also a weirdly snotty response to someone recalling the service and suffering of his father and uncles in World War II.
Oh how sad!! My grandfather fought in the Philippines and later in Vietnam. Agent orange caused his stomach cancer and died when he was 69. He retired from the Army a Sgt Major. Very proud of both. My father fought in Korea and retired an E-8 from the Army. So sorry for your loss!!

I meant a tragedy of military origins.
The whole “war on terror” was all about Israel.
wanna know the source ... just study freemasory
That was your own government..... dirty bomb in the basements, controlled demolition and DEW
The US was far from a super power before the war the Army was minuscule compared to Germany, France, Britain, Japan and Italy. It had the potential to be an economic super power, which is what it became Prewar America was inwardly facing with nearly no interest beyond that

Correction: the United States was not considered a superpower in the 1930s.
@@Espiritu-o7x the US had a very small army and even the navy was not very large with many outdated ships in need of replacement.
They were slowly working on super stardom.
The US has had the largest economy since after the civil war. The country chose to have a small military due to the embracing of isolationism.
Rest in peace people who dead on September 11 and the people in ww2

Nobody talks about the fact that Germany copied the Italian idea to bomb New York, Italy contrary to Germany had the planes for the job:
● Cant Z.511, a huge 4 engine transatlantic sea plane (larger than the p108 which was equivalent to a B17 for reference)
● S.M. 96, aka a bomber version of the S.M. 95 transport plane, used after the war as an airliner
● Piaggio P.123, a variant of the P.23R especially studied for the New York raid (the P.23R was itself an amazing bomber, it broke the speed with load record and the allies even included it in recognition charts for the war.
● BZ.308, used after the war as airliner but would have been equivalent to a B29 bomber
● P.127B which would have been equivalent to a B52
● plus more projects and prototypes that were considered.
Italy had some of the best technology in the war but lacked the industrial capacity to mass produce it, it not only pioneered these technologies but also the theoretical doctrines, strategic bombing, torpedo bombing, or even just bombing considering they were the first to do it
This was excellent.

I just cannot understand how a submarine can run engines, carry fuel, air, sustain a crew with food and water, and travel so far, all under water.
In reality, they didn't. Submarines travelled mainly on the surface and dived for attacks and defense. They were refueled and supplied at sea by large "milkcows" ; large submarines built for that purpose
Amazing isn't it

I read about an American captain of a submarine who sneaked his Harley Davidson on board by taking it apart. This was especially unusual because space in a submarine is at a premium., but he did it, then when they landed at a forgien port, he would put his Harley together and ride, then take it apart all over again. Saying that Pearl Harbor was the first time that America had been attacked within her own borders is a tacit admission that the state of Virginia was not in fact a part of the Union in 1861.
No. Forces from Virginia were internal traitors who were properly put down in something called the Civil War.
Not the first time it was atacked on its own land. Pancho Villa attacked Columbus, New Mexico in 1916.
They've been attaching up on the souther border now for the past three years.

Bro said I don’t do periods.
"atrocities" is strong language for treaties Germany disliked, which were the result of their own aggression in WW1.
Well done Sir! Excellent comment and very true. Thumbs Up.

Thousands of .50 machine gun bullets.
Incendiary bombs.
There’s two
@@kurtvonfricken6829 Where are these 50 caliber rounds coming from? what sort of incendiary bomb could hit an airship; how do you get to the airship? A 50 caliber hole does nothing; even if you could somehow intercept in the darkness or fog; or clouds - airships have no significant pressure differnence between inside and outside so gas doesn't leak quickly and one could have time to patch small 1/2 in holes. You need to hit the airships superstructure or engines to do any actual damage; and this presumes they not only could be intercepted but that they were defensess; which they wouldn't be.
@@litestuffllc7249not very smart are you😂😂 ever hear of incendiary bullets🤡 zeppelin used hydrogen and were extremely flammable..in ww1 the British shot down German zeppelin using bi planes with incendiary ammunition 😂😂😂😂..do some research before you make a comment that shows how little you know about the military and weapons or military strategy..smfh!
Given time, the truth always comes out regardless of it. Sunshine lights every dark corner.
They forgot to mention the "Bushes".
Why? I don't see too many 'Bushes' at my Nudist Resort !
20:06 Reminds me of the Obama regime when all the inner city kids were worshipping him, making up songs, etc.
It would have simply replicated on a single city what the allies did on all the cities of Germany and Japan: razing every house to the ground and killing all the civilians present. Nothing else
All war deaths are on the instigator. The Allies did what the enemies forced them to do.
O wow! Very informative
The fact that we wouldve been speaking Germans right now...IF Hitler didnt foolishly attacked Russia and Japan didnt do what it did.
At least they didn't have it their way with the Vietnamese!
The title "Hitler's 9/11" makes it sound like America's terrorist attack on Hitler.
Stupidity is far more dangerous than evil
This was amaizing 😵
Kurt Tank _German Engineer was bought to India, gave all support at HAL, Bangalore to build modern fighter Aircraft which can fly 2+mach, Kurt succeeded finally to build Asia's first fighter aircraft called Marut.
Look for HAL Marut development documentary
While he felt attacks on NYC could send a message, it was belied by a specific mindset AH was very wary of.
AH felt the best Germans had immigrated to the USA 100 years earlier, they had the sturdiest defiance against adversarial foes.
Even if that enemy came from their former home, Germany.
The best German minds were Jewish, and Hitler chased them our of the country and killed the ones who remained. Thank God he was so stupid..
None the less they are going back to Germany
Interesting and thanks. I recall reading about the US' isolationism prior to WWII. And I knew of the interests of the Nazis in ruling the world, so to speak. My History teachers while in High School and later while at college, suggested that Japan and the USSR and others might object. It is amazing, perhaps, that the pattern of world domination repeats. Perhaps trying to emulate the Romans? To one extent or the other?
There were plenty of U boats that patrolled the shores of North Carolina.....
Again, German Uboats paroling the Atlantic from the US lend lease act sending equipment to UK us hardly Hitler wanting to invade and occupy the USA . Just saying, let’s stick to facts even to our enemies . Otherwise , we distort history so much it becomes fantastical and we lose our credibility.
The atrocities committed by his miserable fascist regime against humanity will never be forgotten!! He was never tried and died freely in impunity!! Terrifying!! Thank you!!
Now this, THIS, is propaganda levels Goebbels would have been proud of. People actually believe this?
😂👍🏻👍🏻

the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbour was so perfect and saved the British so """"easily""" makes you think Churchill was involved in it ;) .
It doesn't matter because America could have prevented that attack....They received numerous warnings of an attack but acting like they did no where when it's obvious you have a whole fleet in a state harbor.....How bout The government let it happen for an excuse to join the war just like 911
I think you are thinking you're on InfoWars. Cause that comment is not only uneducated but utterly insane
