War room is fine I don't mind it. I just don't like the excuse by many "it's for the event" or having a uncontusted TC crashed by others for "the war room" even after they completed it. In short it just gives players a reason to be bigger pains then normal in the name of the war room.
100% this the high players rolling uncontested tcs is pure aids.
But OPC hunting 100% fair game

Whow. This is pretty much exactly the feedback I gave them regarding pvp events in the last survey thing. They must have taken it on board.
Love the video, keep it up rev. Something that is essential in the war room is a dropdown to see my personal contributions.
I just load up on con lat thanks to the whip and trade it back and forth with an ally in territory. cheese out the event real fast
That is a fair strategy. The main issue I think the war room has is that the griefers and those who want to be griefers use any PvP encouraged by events to go overboard and blame it on the event and not that they want to show their ASSets.
Our alliance asked those with whips to fill a Feesha with clat and fly into other alliance territories (allies) so they hit for big points, and they did it for us too. Hitting an OPC Feesha with 7M+ was getting the War Room upwards of 400B points/hit.

Anything that walks the game back from being pay to win is a good thing in my books, even if it's just a half step like this.
My server did war room by smashing realtas against each other in a designated system so I am very happy with this change.

Timing the war room with the Vi'dar PVP was a perfect solution with the updated scoring metrics. But there HAS to be points for PVP loss, or else there is no reason for some players to even participate.
Im not even going to watch the video. but here's the fastest way to finish the war room.
Fill a dvor feesha with c lat. take it back to territory. trade it back and forth with an ally. you will be done after 5-6 trades max.

i did a little pvp with my lvl 29 and made 83b Points (like 70% of LVL 1)

From the looks of it, raiding a base in Territory would be the easiest way to clear the War Room quickly. If you can find a decent base and get a few hits in, it could go by fast.

Judging by the amount of things we need to upgrade the building this thing is going to take literal ages to get to my ops level(44).
I found getting to Ops 44 the hardest, you're going to need tons of rare 4* ore thereafter but it's not such an uphill struggle

Yes the war room is great, I just want them to bring the artifact back.
Happy to ignore PvP events that I am not interested in to allow others to enjoy the game on the way they want. But PLEASE can we have some warning or alerts when it starts (or ideally before so I can recall miners)

How exactly does that work?
@@user-bw8xo5nt9e you use a feesha with the whip and spend 5 minutes mining till full capacity and then have someone from a different alliance kill you and then you switch rolls. with the bonus multiplier does not take alot.

Ok, i'm confused, I thought you couldn't unlock War Room until level 25, so how can it help level 20 chars?
War Room unlocks at 20+

@Rev Deuce Rev, this is concerning PVP. Why doesn't Scopely have a cap level on players that are more than 10 levels higher? For example, I am level 48. I get hit daily by a level 59 player. The odds are not good for me to win. It is frustrating.
The answer simply comes down to allowing higher levels to have "enough" targets to hit. I do think 20+ is too much and I think I have people at Scopely hearing me out on that (EX: level 70 can hit 43), but I don't think you'll ever see it condensed down to only 10 levels.

I don’t know about it. So it forces higher levels to kill more lower levels
Not really it's 1 point per hull damage as they have huge hull health a few kills will handle it for them.
@loonypath2073 I mean some would think that. But for a certain type of player that my server is very familiar wih, it just means they get to hit even more low levels to make up for it.
Decentivize "punching down" but removing points for a loss is VERY counterproductive. Many players that don't have all the meta crews or what have you, if they dont get points when losing they automatically start to hunt the lower levels... Or am I not understanding it correctly?
did bring that up. I think that one is as simple as them not remembering you can lose a battle without ever getting a shot off.

I didn't think scoring was the problem, it was the 5 days of not being able to avoid being hit. People wanted a shorter event not more points per action.
This in turn makes it shorter (as in alliances can now more easily complete it)

🙋🏽♂️📣Is War Room scores still based on Alliance Status? Do I have to set teams to unfriendly or enemy again? As I recall, when we started this there were more points given if your status was different than neutral? Need a quick answer on this?
That wasn't the War Room, that was a separate event.

I still dont understand why there's an arc that began with a klingon war room and then we got nothing else klingon related for rest of the arc. That's dumb. Like what were they doing..checking some boxes of crap they didnt get put in the game prior, so they just lumped it in with a bunch of boring fed arc stuff.
It may disincentive folks, but they're still going to do it. It makes the game unplayable for two or three days. I get the new scoring and it was a good video in that regard, but I'm going to set a long shield and wait until folks have filled up their points.
Forced PVP for an entire week is a great way to deter your player base. What other games are we playing?

@Rev your example of a low level player hitting another low level player for MASSIVE Points is flawed. The scenario with galaxy wide PVP is the strong players wipe the map, its rarely similar level vs each other. In my opinion, this doesn't fix anything, its still a week long excuse to hit anything and everyone who doesn't pvp becomes a turtle.

Forced PVP is going to cause people to leave, yes you have said a majority like i, but even if it is only 10 or 20% leave, that is going to hurt.

Lots did and more will. Congrats... Running people out of the game is smart business right? Way to go scopely.. Instead of hitting a plant girl they should hire actual people with experience and what about some QA people and game test people
The game has grown 17K accounts (net) just in the past two weeks. The War Room didn't result in a mass exodus of the game. hence my comment.
Active players numbers are going down obviously. All those dead lowlvl bases being counted as " active " players by scopely it seems. Incomes from stfc dropped by 70 % in comparison with 2022, stfc is pretty much dead...
@@RevDeuce none of it is made exodus is like leaving a faucet on. They must not care about people like me that spend a bit but don't reward awful performance. My server is getting no new people and losing huge numbers of spending players. 2-5 year players which are their best clients.. Have these changes brought more money than last year, I highly doubt it, at least not on my server and probably all the old servers. Maybe they want to the old players to go away but this year has been terrible....
It's almost like Scopley is targeting lower level players to incentivise PvP in the hope of getting more griefers out and about to up resource pack sales.

War Room continues to be a plague on this game, or at the very least my server. These changes make it even worse, now the high levels just need to hit even MORE low levels to finish the war room, it's not going to incetivize those to hunt OPC, just cause more devastation to our server base. Everytime it feels like the game is going okay, they release another War Room and the server becomes a shit show and I get closer and closer to quiting. I'm not far from breaking.
i'm not fully on board with this take.. in a ways.. it requires high levels to spend even more time in the game.. which i have seen thats not 100% the case..
The war room is set to run every 2 weeks, I believe, for the foreseeable future.
That sounds like a scopely idiot plan. Run an event that the majority of players don't like and cram it on them... Meanwhile it totally changed our server forever and probably most others....

The War Room is okay, but once again Scopely seems willfully ignorant of how bad PvP is in the game. Every PvP event without a PvE component is terrible. Following the PvP metrics of a PvP-focused event can and should make the event easier, but having no corresponding PvE element just encourages those PvE-only players to bubble and reduce the available PvP to everyone else. A change as simple as scoring docked/mined iso, c-lat, materials and resources lets the PvE crowd participate (and largely avoid PvP on many, but not all, servers if they stay under cargo), but higher scoring metrics still keep the focus on PvP. Some people will literally never PvP. Why does Scopely pretend it is otherwise?
Completely disagree that it discourages punching down. In fact, the whales are being outright bullies punching down as low as possible to kill as many as possible in one hull. Finished my dailies only after being killed a half a dozen times by a players 9 levels over me. "It's the war room event, don't hate the player, hate the game." doosh!
I don't know what crack they gave you to tell you that people could complete the war room with the pvp event. I did extra to help out friend for the talios event and didn't Even hit the first tier... This is a lot more work than the old war room and getting no points for losing is even worse

No real improvement. No difference if level 61+ players claim the SLB or 55, 56,57,58,59 or 60. Should be a bracket for each level
War Room is now Broken it's taking alot longer and this is harder

Did one for the actual launch of war room (which was over 2K players and it got positive reviews) and we've done several others during live streams. Always comes back majority like it.

I'm not denying there are people who dislike it, just not the majority of the game. So the trick is making as many people like it/benefit from it as possible.

Who asked for a forced Scopely PVP event? For a building nobody wants?
So every two weeks if I decide to Auto Grind ships some dumbazz comes along and gives me a repair bill. Some of us work for a living. Not all of us play the game to live. I don't live to play the game. The fact that Scopely has forced 2 weeks of pvp plus incursions into the game .. well
