@@peterrear2864 it would be a bad idea if it was on the wishbone but it's not. It's on the subframe where the wishbone connects. That's the only other strong place on this vehicle to place the axle stand since the Jack is already on the chassis rail. And the side seals are not very strong on this vehicle.

In my 17 years of working on cars…. I’ve never seen anyone use a dedicated lubricant for the O ring… we usually just use a small dab of oil

There was no bottom cover panel on this vehicle. Perhaps it was missing.
