uh no it is not XD its a good game but not like amazing one x.x
@@Fiery_Latina_Goatchan_GF_681 It's subjective dude. calm down.
@@Fiery_Latina_Goatchan_GF_681 It came out in 2007, for its time it was a bit of a revolution. The storytelling is amazing, the level design is well thought-out, it speaks about serious stuff, etc.
But sure, go ahead, tell us what you consider an amazing game. I'm genuinely curious.
@@empty-voiid bioshock 1 was absolutely a revolutionary game at the time
Hardly any story imo,but I really love the settings and environments
Great walkthrough, you treat it like a 1st-time experience rather than a speed-run. Thank you!
I'm playing this game right now!! This is a speed-run compared to me.. And this is the second time i've played it since back in the day. I'd better get my brain scanned..

I love how "would you kindly" is used throughout the game, even in the opening on the present, but it isn't used too much so the player doesn't expect anything. Also shows Jack followed and trusted Atlas even when he wasn't directly ordered with the command.
Nice profile pic
In terms of the canon story, Olympus Heights is my favorite point of the game. Here Jack is coping with the fresh trauma of learning his true identity, struggling with ADAM addiction/side effects and suffering micro heart attacks due to Fontaines remaining influence, yet still finds the strength to overcome his odds and take down Big Daddies to save more Little Sister’s from their fate because he knew that was the right thing to do despite himself.
Part of the beauty of this is that even though there were monsters who created Jack and bound him to enslavement, he still found this way to CHOOSE for himself. Not just like a man, but like a stoic, virtuous and heroic man. He proved Andrew Ryan wrong.
This game really did everything very well. The characters, story telling, minipuzzels, being able to construct turrets, abilities, the ambiance and design.. there is so much this game had that wasnt boring.10/10
No, not everything. For one, the lack of any real boss battles until the very end, and even that one is just "naked and slightly large elemental man dashes at you". Aside from that, the game's "big moments" are just a survive-these-waves-of-normal-enemies type of thing: very boring. The game feels very same-y most of the way through. It also lacks platforming and fluidity; it very much feels like a super clunky made-for-console shooter. It ain't no Half-Life 2, that's for true. The main thing it has going for it is its setting and story, even though that epilogue feels a little rushed and tacked-on.

For newbies: when you install a new game and you see so many graphic issues, restore your settings of video card, run the game. No issues, then apply your AA and other filters you want. Every software needs this to work well. Remember that always.
48:57 that was so creepy LOL imagine just turning around and one of those things is standing right there
I remember I was with a friends house and wanted to show me this game. The moment the plane crashed and was in awed by the graphic, I didn't move much. Then my friend said 'Move your character.' I was like 'wait, that's the graphics?!' And was surprised the graphics were beautiful and the gameplay is amazing!
This is such a beautiful game.
Excellent longplay, feels like a movie, love the moving around to look at the different angles like you're actually the character, nicely done!
It doesn't matter how many times I play any of the Bioshocks, I love them every time. These games have so much replay factor
One of the best games ever
I played through it a few months ago, and I personally think it has a lot of flaws gameplay-wise.
Alec Eisenbeis I mean, I don’t love the hacking mini games and I could do without the research camera, but apart from that, I feel like it’s mostly okay. BioShock 2 is weaker story wise, but it has a better hacking game and a better research camera (it records while you fight instead of you having to repeatedly take pictures), so I’d recommend checking it out if you haven’t
got a 10/10 on gameinformer and similar rankings from other game critics. this was the best game of it's generation and ahead of its time. hell, you could have released it today and it would still be welcomed with open arms as an incredible game
@@thedemondances4190 I've since changed my mind on this game. I played it again for a while and had a really good time with it.
Alec Eisenbeis Yeah, I definitely think replaying it helps, it’s fun to look for details and things that point to the plot twists and stuff
I hadn't appreciated how good all the little incidentals, the sound effects, the fonts etc are. So much ATD!
Easily one of the most unique and memorable game intros ever, (even if the 'swimming' was way too fast if you didn't go sparingly on the analog joystick). And a Helluva plot twist to wrap it up too!
I just realized something. While Fontaine (under the alias of Atlas) had controlled most of Jack's actions leading up to the big reveal, one action he didn't control was all the times Jack healed the Little Sisters instead of killing them. "Atlas" was clearly against saving the Little Sisters (he explicitly told Jack to kill them instead of healing them) and he never once said "Would you kindly save that Little Sister?", meaning Jack healed the Little Sisters of his own volition and actively ignored "Atlas's" order to kill the Little Sisters. I might just be looking too far into it, but I think this might imply that Jack always had at least some semblance of free will even before Tenenbaum started undoing the mental locks in his brain.
Holy shit I never realized that. “Atlas” was probably gauging Jack or something
He suggested to Jack to harvest but he never gave a legit order to harvest them.
If he gave a kindly order, jack would have harvested her without hesitation.
@@hidan407 I just rewatched that scene and none of what "Altas" said to Jack sounded like a suggestion. The way he worded it and the tone of his voice definitely sound more like an order than a suggestion.
He needs to say would you kindly for it to be an order Jack cannot resist. If he doesn't say that, Jack can tell him to go piss in the wind.
@@gmork5081 That has nothing to do with what I was talking about.
Infinite; (1912), Burial at sea; (1958), Bioshock; (1960), Bioshock 2; (1958/1968).

In my opinion the Best of the 3
First game i’ve unlocked all the achievements for back when it came out. Remains my favorite game till this day
I somehow missed out on playing this when I was a teen but have just played through the whole series back to back and this game is definitely one of my all time favorites and am so glad I played it. Everything about this game is great and truly worth playing. Don’t miss out on an amazing experience if you haven’t played already
Atlas is like a stoner saying: don’t do drugs kids. As he's doing them and telling Jack to do them
So I noticed one of the earliest hints about Atlas’ true identity. Your original mission is to help Atlas get his family out of the sub. Andrew Ryan blows it up and talks about how you tried to escape hence the reason he blew up the submarine.
This implies that there was nobody inside when it blew up, proving that Atlas lied about his family being trapped.
If there's one thing I learned from Rapture, it's that aspects such as morality and altruism, which is something that is almost, if not completely disregarded in Rapture, are what keeps society from turning into absolute Hell as it did for this failed Atlantis.
How much did you panic when you thought the little sister you just saved, died? With no commentary I still felt the reaction when you stared down at her then suddenly she popped back up LUL
In my opinion, Bioshock, alongside Infinite, is in the same regards as The Last of Us, Super Mario Galaxy, Skyrim, Red Dead Redemption and Dead Space for the greatest games of the seventh generation of video games.
7 years ago, walking down the stairs early because i set my alarm early because i knew my dad had to go to work when i would usually wake up for school. Everytime, it was either bioschock, or cs source, and we would play it together on his pc in the corner on the warm cozy desk. At 5:30 or so in the morning, good times.
This...is... AMAZING!!
Just what I needed to kick start my gaming mood in the morning.
Im so glad i played this when it came out. Truly a different time in gaming. When companies still cared about releasing good product

I am Andrew Ryan, and I'm here to ask you a question. Is a man not entitled to the sweat of his brow? 'No!' says the man in Washington, 'It belongs to the poor.' 'No!' says the man in the Vatican, 'It belongs to God.' 'No!' says the man in Moscow, 'It belongs to everyone.' I rejected those answers; instead, I chose something different. I chose the impossible. I chose... Rapture, a city where the artist would not fear the censor, where the scientist would not be bound by petty morality, Where the great would not be constrained by the small! And with the sweat of your brow, Rapture can become your city as well.
Killing all those splicers was quite frankly an act of mercy for all the suffering they were under.
I agree. No amount of rehab is going to help them so the best we can do is put them out of their misery.
This should be a streaming series. Start from the very beginning, before Rapture was even built and go all the way through to the end of Bioshock 1. It could be at least 3 seasons. 1 pre built/building. 2 falling apart. 3 Bioshock 1.
The fact that this man just sit on his chair and played 8 hrs straight on one game like its a livestream just amazes me.
Bro got real patience.
The boss fight at 5:21:10 had me rolling lol

My therapist: You ever just causally 100% bioshock in one night?

I would love to see the bioshock series get a remake with new visuals and maybe more features. Bioshock is a classic.
Fort Frolic with Sander Cohen is my favorite level on this game. Creepy and artsy.
Love the wordplay of the title. Bio=Water, Shock=Stressful event...hence WaterStress
This was great! Watched the entire walkthrough. Thanks!
Watching this right after the end of burial at sea and it just makes every lie atlas tells feel that much more disgusting. To see what the city was when Elisabeth dies to what it is by the time Jack got there and know it's basically all Fontaine's (atlas's) fault
npc: DONT YOU RUN AWAY FROM ME! ARE YOU SCARED OF ME!?
player: [sets her on fire and she runs away] nope! i think your the one scared of me
I come back to this often as the underwater diesel punk theme of rapture is downright beautiful
I heavily agree It’s beautiful and the atmosphere is perfectly creepy but I would hate to be stuck in there because of all the splicers and big daddies plus it’s underwater that a big hell no for me
