Two things I love about Solvang: They filmed Sideways there and back in the 80s, when I was in high school, I bought a real Spanish-made morning star from a knife shop there. I couldn't believe they sold it to me.
They have the filming locations marked everywhere too! I'm not sure what that type of knife looks like but I do know that many don't have any idea that there are antique stores there with wonderful finds. We found a diamond engagement ring from the 40's for a fraction of what it was worth! Always worth a look!
@@travelingcatphotos It's a medieval weapon. The one with the spiked ball on a chain attached to a wooden handle. I thought it was the coolest thing ever.
We love Solvang. A true treasure. Looks like you guys had a blast!! I might have to go back and try that cocktail!!
There are SO many bakeries...we definitely have to go back!
Solvang is so fun! Love the food. We typically go around Christmas time every year.
My Danish ancestors would be proud. 😂
We will be going back for Mom's Dec. birthday. She wants to go on light light tour on the trolley! It's such a cool place.
