I tuned in because I have a lot of herbage on my plot and need ID for them. This is a start. There seems to be a lot of hype and fear around plants as we have lost our knowledge of them; centering ourselves in supermarket food!
P.S.-- Id be interested in a episode of how you first got into the foraging and identifying plants if you ever decide to make one. Either way thanks for not hoarding all this knowledge and for sharing it

I have been looking through my older videos to find flowers and I might be able to put one together but I'd have to see if it will be as good as this one because it wouldn't be in the same format, so IDK. This video is epic bro... you did such a good job teaching here. Everytime I thought of a question in my mind, you answered it as the video was playing, lol. Only one question i can think of, does moss have leaves? In my area in the forest what I mostly see is ferns and moss. It's kinda like Jurassic park. Lol.
I don't know too much about moss or if they have leaves. I need to do some studying on them because that's a great question! I'm glad you liked the video and it answered a lot of your questions!

You're welcome Sophie. Yes I most certainly will becasue there are so many complex terms when it comes to flowers and they are what a lot of people focus on when it comes to plant identification. However it'll probably be in Early to late June because that time where I live has the widest variety of flower features available for demonstration. Lol, I had a field guide that for years was held up with gorilla tape from that exact thing. I pitched it across the room and into walls multiple times because of the frustration in learning some of these plants and the terms with them. Thanks for commenting and subscribing!
Trillium: Wild Edibles YW. My field guides have taken a beat down over the yrs too, lol. In the end, it's so worth it though. Strange greenery on my hikes, are now trusted friends. Naturally, I wouldn't expect flowers til spring or so, but I'm happy to hear you'll cover that subject too. I used to get caught up w/ the terminology. You explain and show it in a way that books can't...that makes it invaluable to those starting out w/ field guides. Good on ya. Thanks again!

I left you a link yesterday, but my account is blocked..I am now using this account.. I understand in detail other locations on maps that depict a plant or tree image, what has me confused is this image has a flat topography and the image is derived by an underwater system allowing plants/trees to grow above it and those millions of trees are placed in a pattern to reveal this image.. Again, the land is flat, whereas most other similar locations are mountainous.. If you know a location that offers this pattern with this much detail in a flat topography, I would love to see it.. Botany is not my specialty, that's why I wanted you to look at this and when you open it, zoom into the area around the lower left where it looks like a leaf.. i can see what looks like a midrib, side and netted vein pattern.. Adding a tint filter reveals the round hard to see objects on this leaf like object that as crazy as it seems, looks like the stoma of a leaf.. Please, have another look and zoom in to recognize the plants and trees that make up this image.. The entire object is 400km long and have only showed you the top of this image that shows this amazing detail.. i am hoping you can shed light on this leaf vein pattern.. Any help would be appreciated..
