  • There is a MASSIVE NEED for a Moving Company because people are always moving and usually do not want to do it themselves. Even as a side hustle, you can make a ton of money.
    How much does it Cost:
    Moving Equipment: $500
    Insurance: $1,000
    Website with scheduling: $1,000
    **You don’t need your own truck, you can rent one as long as it is less than what you are charging to move***
    START UP COST: $2,500
    HOW MUCH CAN WE MAKE/CASHFLOW
    Average Cost to hire movers: $1,300/day
    Average Moves per week = 3 $1,300/day = $3,900/week = $15,600/month = $187,200/year
    CASHFLOW:
    Cost of Moving truck per day: $100
    Cost of Helpers: $15 an hour * 2 workers = $30*8 hours = $240
    Gas: $100
    TOTAL COST Per move: $440
    $1,300 - $440 = $860/day *3moves = $2,580/week = $10,320/month = $123,840
    $123,840 - $2,500 start up = $121,340 Gross Profit.
    Positives of this business:
    Profitable
    Always needed. Moving
    Think of ways it will fail:
    SALES/MOVES: Local SEO, local marketing, signage.
    Quality: Not destroying customers things.
    Showing up on time: Scheduling being organized.
    Legal Up
    LLC
    Insurance

    I recently came across your video while searching for advice on generating leads. I was pleased to discover that I had already implemented the strategies you discussed, even before watching your video. This validates that your approach is spot-on and highly effective

      Heck yeah!! Business development is pretty much the same across most businesses. It’s taking the action that is the hard part.

    Everyone in the comments saying “its not that easy” or “what about….” are just dead wrong. It really is that easy. You professionalize things as you grow. Even as someone who has gone through painful audits, dinged for not having the right licenses etc. my advice is still to get started, get money coming in, and figure it out from there.

    • @nate_indiana_jones
      @nate_indiana_jones  Місяць тому

      Exactly, great advice. So many people want to think of every little tiny thing when starting a business and then they never start. At some point you get started and you figure it out.

    You made it too easy. Actually, it's not easy. In washington State, you need a license for moving company. To get the license, you will need a truck and insurance under your llc name, and then you can apply . It will take you several months to get the license.

    Truck rental plus mileage. O yeahhh...that easy. Not including insurance just for the truck. Minus gas and the extra worker. Not including tolls. You gotta charge more or might as well work for someone elses.

      It’s pretty easy and worth it if your charging correctly and for the gas, made 1k yesterday renting out a uhual paid my partner $22 an hour. The job itself was $1500 minus the expenses I was left with $1100, my problem is generating leads.

    So, why would someone work for $15/hr doing hard labor when they could just contract through uhaul and make a lot more….?🤔🤔 Lots of jobs paying more than that that are much easier and require no education or experience. You can drive for Amazon for $20-25…🤷🏼‍♂️

    • @nate_indiana_jones
      @nate_indiana_jones  Місяць тому

      You definitely won’t be getting good labor. A lot of people may have been fired from Amazon or can’t pass the d** test.

    • @nate_indiana_jones
      @nate_indiana_jones  11 місяців тому

      The rental company might offer some insurance for you. If you are renting a truck on a long term basis I would get a commercial auto policy. If it is short term, I would buy the insurance at the rental company.

      Firstly, in the state of Florida, it is mandatory to register your moving company with the Department of Agriculture. This registration fee amounts to $1000. Additionally, it is essential to possess comprehensive liability and cargo insurance in order to obtain your IM #. The legal requirements for starting a moving company can be quite extensive, including an estimated cost of around $25,000 for proper compliance.
