He was speaking of the time when David ate the shew bread that he was given on the Sabbath by a priest when he was hungry and how the priests profained the Sabbath because they HAD to work on the Sabbath Day. Yahshua is telling us that we are to do well on the Sabbath Day, not break it.

Pastor Jennings did "Not" school Pastor Evans on the teachings of the Sabbath.
Pr. Jennings is correct on many things, however, he is wrong regarding the Sabbath. Pr. Jennings takes some things out of context not understanding the fullness thereof when he misreads. Pr. Evans is correct, however, he could not articulate scripture properly. And many of the people here don't read the before's and afters prior to making a judgment. Jesus did keep the Sabbath. The verse was taken out of context. The reason the Jews, etc. said Jesus broke the "Sabbath" is that on the "Sabbath" Jesus healed, again, on the "Sabbath" which to them is considered work because of what they were trying to convict Jesus of. That's what the Jews meant by "broke", breaking the Sabbath. They hated Jesus because he healed and said that he was the son of God. I am sure you can agree that there is always misunderstanding when one comes in on the tail end of a conversation.
Scripture does not say Jesus changed the Sabbath day. Nowhere in the Bible will you find Sunday as the Sabbath or any other day outside of Saturday. According to the Bible, from sunset Friday until Sunset Saturday, Sabbath is observed. It is the only day that God "hallowed," made holy. The day we receive a blessing from God because He is in it. Not to say that He doesn't bless us any other day, but He made that day special for us to worship Him. The Jews, Pharisees said Jesus "broke" the Sabbath because he healed.There was a good reason Jesus "broke protocol", worked. He did it to save lives. I can get deeper but why? Read for yourselves and understand.
Pr. Jennings, I love his preaching and teaching for the most part. He is 95% on point. Fire/brimstone. But Pr. Jennings is not correct on the Sabbath or Divorce as there are other reasons in the Bible regarding divorce, "Yes," there are. They, the "Jews, Pharisees" were trying to find a reason to kill Jesus. His healing, again, on the "Sabbath" which he was observing, was the reason they accused him of breaking it. Additionally, the Roman Catholic church changed the Sabbath to Sunday. They killed millions who failed to follow their rules to worship on Sunday. To date, Sunday worship has become the "tradition of man," not the true Sabbath. When one worships on Sunday, one follows Catholicism. Know your history. This is also why everything people like to do is scheduled on Friday and Saturday, to make it difficult for the masses to want to keep the true Sabbath and debate it as false. So Friday and Saturday is prime party time, etc. But who am I to try and change your minds to even research the truth?
There is also be a penalty for those who change God's words. That's biblical too. See Below for what Jesus did on the "Sabbath" which was taken out of context by the majority of nonreaders who believed Pr. Jennings words as he vomited scripture out of its real setting. That's why God said, "Remember the Sabbath, Remember, the Sabbath, Remember the Sabbath to keep it Holy," because God knew the majority would forget. And God is right as always.

The fact of the matter is,that no where in the Bible says,that God did away with the 10 commandments, and that includes the sabbath day,also if is only six commandments we need to keep to inherit eternal life,why do Gino teaches that you need to be baptized,and also you need to speak in tongues to be saved? In the Bible, Jesus told us which commandments we should keep if we want to get to heaven, and keeping the Sabbath was not one of them.

Your teachings make me want to pull up my belongings and MOVE to Philly just so i can physically sit and be soaked with the Word of God. Sometimes I feel like I'm one of the great falling away from the church. But what i realize is, i just don't get what i need to hear in order to live according to the Word of God. I pray everyday that God knows i want to live holy, but its almost impossible to know the Way with the 'church show' we're subjected to EVERY...SUNDAY. Please keep delivering that truth. Pastor Jennings totally destroyed Pastor Evans with scriptures. Quoting your words "wow you preach the Sabbath but you preach not to keep it ". My question to you is, where in the bible did Jesus preach or said to keep the Sabbath and keep it holy? Jesus did say to keep the commandments. However a question was asked in Mat. 19-16 ...which commandments is needed for eternal life? According to Jesus the Sabbath was not one of them.

I'm no followers of Pastor Jenning nor Pastor Evans, although ive heard some of Pastor Jennings teachings and I agree with a lot. But here, he was twisting things a bit just to make himself not look bad. Pastor evens was definitely in the right when it comes to the spirit with the spirit and flesh with flesh. Pastor Jennings tried to equate spirit with peters "flesh", not the things of the flesh (sin). He wasnt trying to understand or allow the other guy to lay his foundation, but he wanted to lay all of the foundations that he wanted to lay and over speak when he wanted. I still like a lot of jennings teaching, but he wasnt treating the other guy how he wanted.
