Hey, roughly how long does it take for the swelling to go? I had the surgery 2 weeks ago. My after picture what the surgeon took looks great . But right now one side of my labia is all tucked in and neat & the other side is a lot more swollen. Is this normal for one side to be tucked in and one side to be out I just hope it all goes in like the after picture. As it was so neat on the pic when it was immediately done. I had labia plasty and clitorcal hood reduction. I’m not in any pain but just hoping this swelling will go asap.
I think everybody has a different pain tolerance. Because for me ibuprofen and Tylenol did not help for me. I was in excruciating pain my first day I was bawling my eyes out. The ice if a life saver tho!! I’m on day 2 and just hoping it will go by fast because it’s painful for me😢 I’ve had a baby before too and in my opinion it’s been more harder because there is more swelling that happens. But yes, everybody is different and tolerates pain differently.
@@lipsticklipo6493 tomorrow marks 3 weeks for me and it definitely has gotten a lot easier! I got my stitches out at 2 weeks so I’m still healing from having those took out. Definitely still in a little pain though an there is swelling still! Any tips that will help me feel even more better?
@@meganjennings5766 sounds like you are on track and doing well! Rest laying flat and ice at the end of the day to help with the swelling from a busy normal schedule. Once your surgeon approves you can listening to your body and adding in activity as it feels comfortable and slowly get back to normal. Congrats!
I'm having mine done in a month. The wedge with a hood lift. It's going to take two hours. I'm so scared of the recovery pain. Everyone that has had it done said the pain is horrible.

We are so glad you turned the corner! Keep up the ice- it gets easier after the first 48 hours!
