  • Everybody makes mistakes. To score well in a mathematics exam, it is crucial that you are able to find and correct your own errors.
    This video explains some common errors to watch out if you are taking an exam in VCE Specialist Mathematics. Also useful for Specialist (QCE, SACE), HSC Maths Extension, A-Level Further Maths, CBSE Class 11, Common Core Pre-Calculus, Algebra, Calculus.

    for 6b 8:07 can't you just say f''(2) = 0 therefore must be point of inflection rather than f''(2) < 0 for x < 2 and
    f''(2) > 0 for x > 2? why do you have to show that it changes sign? doesn't f''(2) = 0 already assume that?

      Good question but that's just it... f''(2)=0 does NOT guarantee a point of inflection. Watch the other video I linked on points of inflection (or check your textbook) ua-cam.com/video/LmHcF-xzipg/v-deo.html
