Maybe I just missed it, but I did not see Tommy adjust the feet of the bridge to fit the contour of the top. I notice that the bridges for sale at DjangoGuitars are listed as pre-readiused. So maybe he felt he that it fit well without further adjustment. But proper fitting of the bridge feet is an important step that should not be overlooked. Thanks for this video. I think the bridge and adjustment of it are very important to the function and sound production of the guitar. Changing the bridge can really make a difference if one knows what to do. The video may make it seem simple, but there is a lot of knowledge behind what Tommy did there.
Hi everyone, I have a question for Tommy but maybe you Christian could give me info.. I've just finnished fine sanding on my gipsy acoustic bridge, and it turned out to be made of rosewood.. My question is what paints are the best to paint the bridge? I want it to be dark as possible ( considering black also ), but also to keep the wood texture, not to have a high gloss, if possible! Just like normal gg bridges! Thank you! :)
A bit late, still hope it helps. The action is very variable depending on the player, many people prefer it very high like 4mm on 12th Low E string, some people as low as 2mm, I find the average to be 2.3 in the High E and 2.8 in low E
