About All In The Family:
One of the most acclaimed comedy series of all time, All in the Family with Archie Bunker as the irascible, highly opinionated, working-class family man who viewed the world on his terms and his terms only. When not arguing with his liberal son-in-law, "Meathead," Archie took refuge in his long-suffering wife, Edith, who tries her best to understand Archie's conservative ways and outdated beliefs.

Carol O’Conner was a powerhouse actor, especially when he lost his temper as Archie.
Often at his funniest when he did!😂
IRL he was the polar opposite of Archie Bunker
Absolutely 💯 but they were ALL Amazing too 🎬
Notice the "meadow green" Pyrex at the dinner table?? I am willing to be few if anyone even noticed that. I am a collector with a sharp eye.
Carol O'Conner done more to get us out of viet nam than anyone...
The nurse, where Archie visits Edith in the hospital, is actress Katherine MacGregor, who played Harriet Olsen on the 1970s TV series, "Little House on the Prairie." She was a fantastic actress!
January 12, 1925, Glendale, CA
Died: November 13, 2018, Motion Picture & Television Fund, Los Angeles, CA
Lived for 93 years. We shooting for 90 now as my Dad, "Anthony" S. Carnevale made it to 91. In 33 years or so that will be 2055
RIP
Wow, I will have to take it back and look.
You beat me to it! Agree on all counts.
We know
That Draft Dodger episode touched me. Everyone has a different opinion Archie, I am sure if you could have avoided WWII you would have. I also love how when Mike and Arch were trying to get out the door they look like the Three Stooges. LMAO.
Merry Christmas, All In The Family Fans
It is now May 15th, 2024. I'll revisit this comment this coming December to return in kind 😊
I loved those episodes they hit home 🏡. merry Christmas and happy new year too everyone.❤🎉❤
This hospital episode shows how much Edith means really to Archie, how much he really needs and loves her, even though he insults her all the time.😊
Oh how I have missed All in the family.....watching all videos now! I need a good laughing.✌️😎
The Draft Dodger episode and Edith's crisis of faith made me teary eyed 😢
They knew how to touch upon the issues of the day and it made people think. I wrote a school paper on the show and got a B.
Seeing Edith broken touched everyone.
I don't know who said it, but I will always remember his words.
"I'm tired of old men sending young men off to die."
A draft dodger could eat at my table any day.
The Vietnam war was one BIG fraud.
You can't get better than the first scene. Superb acting.
I loved that Beverly LaSalle!😂
The hospital scene brought tears to my eyes. Archie showed Edith how much he loved her and how scared he was for her health.
I love it, I love it, I love it! Great memories with All in the Family. We got to see a soft-hearted Archie when Edith was in the hospital. It's very rare to see a soft-hearted Archie.
Carol O' Conor was great as the General in Kelly's Heros as well.
Tecnically, Santa wasn't a thief, he was a counterfiter to be fair lol
Never be actors like this again
The last one is always sad 😢😢😢
Dude lives in Canada for freedom??? LOL. Wonder what he would say today?
there is no draft today
@@lesweizman388 I think he's talking about Trudeau.
@@greenthumbmary5970 Nothing wrong with Trudeau.

The first episode got me! it is such a complicated decision and Archie went to war so he knows the pain.
GOOSEBUMPS!. The kind of writing and acting makes me at once envious and wistful. As an actor, you fantasize about this kind of ensemble. But when you’re in it (I was once) you can’t see it, OR feel it. You’re too immersed in joy and gratitude. Every single word you say is “Yes”-or “Love”. But you don’t see it till after you wrap (usually a hangover is also required). The fancy word for it is “consilience.” I think. Also “flow”. But what it is, is an unsayable pure joy. And once you’ve tasted it, you’ll miss it forever. And you’ll be hungry for it the rest of your life. O. (come back, BWadwee! I miss ewe like that-damn your eyes.) Come back. I’m incapable of running away from you anymore. I think I might be yours. But…okay, truth to tell, I’m running from the law AND Clunt’s people are gunning for me. I do need help getting this sorted out and I’m blah blah blah still blinded by my absolute conviction I’m more literate than the shambling monstrosity you and your people and their people, and their people’s people (see how I did that?) have made of my autocomplete.
HAVE YOU MARRIED ME YET?? This is not a rhetorical question. I really want to know. If only for the children.
One of the best episodes ever. Good for you David for standing by your principles.
Some of the most powerful eps! Merry Christmas!!
Loved it when they got stuck in the doorway 🤣
This was A Powerhouse Episode
OMG! I just realized the actress playing the nurse in the second scene is the actress who played Mrs. Olson on Little House On The Prairie!
Great eye
Scottie MacGregor
I think that in the original broadcast of the first clip, "The Draft Dodger", Archie said "I don't want talk about that rotten goddamn war any more"...I remember it was pretty shocking at the time. Later on, I guess they edited it down to just "damn" for syndication. You can kinda see the sync of his voice get a little off there...That second clip at the hospital, Archie kinda looked like he made an attempt to sort of groom his hair down...I hope that was intentional...
When Beverley dies it just makes me cry.
Eugene Roche played the auto shop teacher in Corvette Summer, Mark Hamill's first movie before he got famous with Star Wars.
Oh, that Beverly!!!!!!!!😅
You can see that when Archie screams, he is not acting. He really believes in this cause of the draft.!!!!
No, you are almost certainly wrong. The actor who portrayed Archie was a liberal in real life. Archie was a caricature of a conservative, bigoted ignoramus, though deep down he had a heart. Given his liberal views in real life and the fact that the Vietnam war had become very unpopular by the time this show was produced, Carol O’Connor was simply acting his part as Archie.
I really got scared when Archie lost his temper at the draft dodger. I really got scared that he'd hurt himself, yes, HIMSELF!!!!😮😮😮😮
💚
The first clip was cut off too soon, his reflection at the end made the scene IMO

The land of the free..not just pretty words.
Funniest show ever.
We have to many weapons I love and will always respect Vietnamese veterans. We did not need a draft ww2 was different always respect soliders regardless
WW2 cannot be compared to Vietnam.
They remind my vavos he would never leave her side i remember
3.25 So we're censoring All in the Family now? Oh yeah, America is just fine.
They were all sad.
When I was a kid I agreed with Mike. Now I know Archie was right and Mike is a pos
52 years later I still believe Mike was right.
Both are right. Yet archie finnaly admitts the war was wrong. He was talking about your loyalty to your country. WW2 had to ve fought. Vietnam didnt. Different generations. I watched the war on tv growing up. At 7 8 years old it was obvious the parents in their 40s had a different opinion on the war than their 15 16 year old kids. Music, long hair, reading beatnik books were nothing if you badmouth the military and government about the war. This show came out when i was 9. This was nothing like the Brady Bunch. It was like watching what i have seen last 2 3 years in real life.
It’s sad that you evidently became less intelligent and more bigoted with age. Mike was definitely right most all of the time, especially when he was arguing with Archie about race, gender, and other social issues. We were supposed to laugh at Archie, not with him. He was an uneducated bigot, but deep down he wasn’t a bad person. It’s no coincidence that Archie Bunker and Donald Trump were both from Queens. The difference, however, is that Trump is both a bigot and a bad person.
I’m opposite, Archie is always a POS, but i loves Mike….
Draft Dodger Archie was wrong period
The actor who played the Draft Dodger is the same actor who played the Rapist
That's not true. David Dukes played the rapist. Renny Temple played the draft dodger.
No, David Dukes played the rapist!
The guy who played the rapist was David Dukes, the guy who played David was Renny Temple
No -Renny Temple is the drafter dodger and David Dukes played the rapist.
David Dukes played the rapist.
ChristMaS has been canceled!
Pp
Cut the idiot commercials!!!!
Beverly is the worst character
Why?
I thought he was pretty funny.
^THAT'S BAIT
