Wow! Wow! Had to pause around minute 27:00 to write this comment. I was having a discussion with a friend who is in a difficult season of their faith, and he said he does not believe in Jesus, so when he prays he no longer mentions Jesus’ name and instead just goes straight to God. I’ve been chewing on this conversation for a few weeks because as JHP references, Jesus is our access to God. Since the garden, human beings have not had direct access to God without the threat of death, so to boldly think you can access God without Jesus overlooks the incredible mercy of God. That God allows him to believe it, say it, and continue to bless him has been overwhelming for me. That God can be so merciful really demonstrates how much his ways are not at all like ours.

Amen to your experience. God blesses us all, even unbelievers. The only place we would have a problem is when we die. At that time, He becomes the judge and there is no mercy then. Where I come from they say God has given us a long rope and the rope cuts off when our spirit leaves us. So for your friend, we can only pray that he eventually comes back to believing Jesus because He is the WAY to the Father. After death, comes Judgement WHICH MUST pass through us believing Jesus Christ while on earth. 🙏🏿🙏🏿

To me, Christmas carols are worship songs. It is us that do not contemplate the meaning of these carols, the meaning has been cheapened through the years. People walked around and sang these songs throughout the neighborhood to remind people of the Good News of Jesus's birth! Familiarity breeds comtempt now, with these songs. Revisit these songs with a new mindset.

Just wanted to point out that the scripture reference Hebrew 10:17 is Hebrew 2:17. Therefore, it was essential that He had to be made like His brothers (mankind) in every respect, so that He might [by experience] become a merciful and faithful High Priest in things related to God, to make atonement (propitiation) for the people’s sins [thereby wiping away the sin, satisfying divine justice, and providing a way of reconciliation between God and mankind].

That fire is His Shekinah Glory. Read the beginning of Ezekiel where the Throne Room of God is described, blows your mind! Even the angels flying around God the Father have wings covering them to protect themselves in His Presence. Look at the Transfiguration of Christ. He looked as He truly Is, and the three disciples were terrified, as they should have been, as we should be without salvation through Jesus.
