I agree. In my opinion, brown suits don’t work on everyone and they don’t match with most other colours (like a white or blue shirt or with white or grey trousers).
As long as the suit fits well. Nothing worse than an ill fitting suit. Cheaper suits from big chain stores are fine, but find a nice little lady in your city that does laundry and adjustments and she'll make that suit fit you properly, usually pretty cheap too.
When I was in college, I got a job at a suit store and used the employee discount over next few years to build my professional wardrobe. What they're doing in this clip works really well as a selling tactic, and you'd be surprised how many people would come in to buy one suit and walk out with 2-3. That being said, it's not as simple as they make it. Yes you can break one suit set and mix it with another set, but you gotta what you're doing. If you are mixing suits from different seasons or wool types, there is a very good chance you will end up looking like a mook. Higher grade wools will have a nice sheen to them for example, while a super 100 wool will look dull in comparison. You put them together and it just looks awful, especially in photographs. If you dont have a good eye for detail, a sport coat is a much safer bet for mixing and matching. A sport coat will look good whether you wear it with slacks, or opt for a more casual option like jeans. If you mix a suit jacket with jeans on the other hand, it will look terrible.
Thanks for the info. I was thinking the same thing. Seems to me also the suits need to be off the same material type to be passed off as a two toned hook up. I can see someone picking a linen suit, a worsted wool, a tweed, a Shark skin and a silk trying to hook them pieces up😂

The point is that you can mix and match and not look bad.
@@starrk7158 you can mix and match when the suits go together, the striped pants do not go well with the plain jacket, they needed all plain suits which is why this comment said it's mismatched. I've seen videos where mixing looked fine but this was terrible and looked off with the striped mix

Absolutely don't get black as the first one. Grey or Navy are so much more versatile. The only reason you would absolutely need a black one is for a funeral, and honestly if you show up in a dark grey or dark navy suit nobody will think less of you for it.

Dark skinned men look nice in most suit colors. As an irishman, only blue or black look nice on me.
Me not even having two pure white shirts 😭
The striped gray and brown did not work together. Too many differences in stripe variation. (Color, dimensions, texture). Need solid color suits.
I was thinking the same thing. The powder blue shirt and cream trousers combo is fire
Depends on which guy you’re looking at. Looks fine on the guy on the right.
Honestly just an opinion. Someone more traditional might have an issue but that’s becoming increasingly a non issue
That's because he combined the stripes and non-stripes. You don't mix match a striped suit jacket or pants. It doesn't look right.

A plum colored knit turtleneck will also look absolutely fine if you’re going for a more casual suit. Think wedding, church, or fancy date

Most people only wear a suit to a wedding or job interview. A black or navy suit and 1 white dress shirt is all you need.

@@chickenman958Yep. And I'm offering encouragement for that choice. I have a feeling there's a backstory to your antagonism to the suggestion. Be well.
@@deliberativedisciple It just seems like you want to convince people to embrace a religious lifestyle. Nothing wrong with that lifestyle, but it's a choice. Almost like a vegan telling people: "best start not eating anything animal derivative".
Do you see the point now?
Math:
Each suit as 2 parts or 2 spaces, nd there are 5 colors or 5 digits. The no. Of suits just with the colors is 5*4 = 20. There are 3 shirts, so add a third place, with 3 colors 9r digits. So now the total is 20*3 = 60.
So, actually, you can only make 60 suits. not 75

Pro tip . Don't get brown and avoid bold stripes. It's not easy to pull off ... You're better off getting getting a checked or window pane pattern .
I agree. In my opinion, brown suits don’t work on everyone and they don’t match with most other colours (like a white or blue shirt or with white or grey trousers).
Facts
the same with black. black should never be your first suit
Sorry brown suits are actually extremely sexy and well done, you just don’t have to the skin tone or body to pull it off and that’s ok
Also brown literally goes with every color…. Brown is THE go too complementary color, gold isn’t too far off from the spectrum of brown!

As long as the suit fits well.
Nothing worse than an ill fitting suit. Cheaper suits from big chain stores are fine, but find a nice little lady in your city that does laundry and adjustments and she'll make that suit fit you properly, usually pretty cheap too.
@@matthiashejlskov5008 tailors. 120 dollars on a cheap fitting is still cheaper tham a nuce suit.
Thank you for the information!
Thanks for the info. I was thinking the same thing. Seems to me also the suits need to be off the same material type to be passed off as a two toned hook up. I can see someone picking a linen suit, a worsted wool, a tweed, a Shark skin and a silk trying to hook them pieces up😂
What's your opinion on their fit? I think the suits seems badly fitted for them. Am I wrong?
@@scoobydoo2587the short fits where definitely bad, to baggy. Pant cuffs where off, more pants on the left where way too baggy, and most pants on the right where waaaay to tight. The jackets are also all over the place so probably off the rack pieces adjusted a bit, but most of the jackets on the right had no shape and made his shoulders look very narrow and his hips too wide giving him a pear shape.
