I'm French and when I listen to the Diva Lara Fabian sing I burst into tears...they flow on their own. The texts, the musicality and especially the interpretation of Lara are incredible? She is moving and captivating, you would think she is telling her own life, just wonderful... she gives me goosebumps this song. One of the most beautiful songs of all time... A great artist, again BRAVO LARA

You know the caliber of this artist, not only by the amazing range of notes, the control but overall is the interpretation on itself.. She is acting and projecting to the perfection the feeling.. like watching Opera, or a Broadway singer... AMAZING..Commonly singers, have one or the other, the Voice or the Interpretation.. but having both.. wow!!!

She isn't acting; she's living the song: acting (faking); living the song (true emotions).

Thanks for your genuine reaction to the amazing Lara Fabian! Lara is phenomenal singer and Artist and she is absolutely unmatched as a live performer, and not only she vocally perfect, but she also is a true Queen of Emotions and no one can compare to her. This performance of «Je suis Malade» is an absolutely brilliant timeless Masterpiece of the Highest Class! In my opinion this incredible Lara’s performance is one of the very best live performances ever in the whole history of music. I have seen this performance countless times and every time Lara's voice pierces me to the very depths of my soul and brings me to trembling and tears. Lara is simply out of this world…

magnificent song from the repertoire of French songs ... magnificent ... (Serge Lama is the first to have sing it). She just amazing. We can understand that Dimash is a big fan of Lara Fabian who wrote the lyrics to his song "your love" ... She is also a beautiful person: In France an important point: the lyrics, the lyrics are often also important than the voice. Lara has both.. Merci pour cette belle réaction prenez soin de vous bisou 🌹🇫🇷

Dimash as we know is eclectic, Lara was one of his early influencers from childhood/teen years with a host of others like MJ, Freddie, CelineD, Bocelli, Pavarrotti and many others in pop, folk, jazz, classical etc from his own country and Russia whose names I would sin against if I attempted to write here. But Dimash has mentioned in various interviews his admiration for these artists. Lara is my Queen of Songs, her music was my companion through grad school. Thanks again Matt for a wonderful reaction🤗💚💙💚💙

I truly believe if Lara's career had taken off in America after her one hit "I will love again" there might never have been a Celine Dion. I believe the recording industry saw her as being too close to Celine Dion's voice. Very similar to how Terry Stafford's voice was so close to Elvis Presley's. She is one of my all-time favorite singers.

Both Céline and Lara had careers before they tried to break through in Murica; Murica isn't the whole world! Lara was already famous in Europe and somewhat famous in Canada and Céline was already famous both in Canada and Europe. Nonetheless you are right, Lara was screwed by René Angelil and Tommy Mottola: René didn't want other singer to compete with Céline and Tommy was forced by René. Murica's record labels are a Mafia! I don't know why didn't David Foster took her... She could be signed for his recoy label 143 Reprise, Warner Bros. David Foster is great. That competition is something that I don't understand because european market is smaller than than american market and they "shared" european market! I liked the two and many people liked them, too! Why muricans make a samn contest about anything is something I'll never understand!

As somebody who has learned a few languages, despite understanding nothing of music, I've always understood that languages are about rhythm and intonation, the rest of the concepts escape me, but you know when you have to have a lower town expressing certain words than others not just in terms of intonation but in terms of meaning...

Hi! The first time you sais her name, was perfect. I am french canadian and I follow Lara since her first album. She is an incredible person, passionate, sensitive, kind, smart, strong, humble and very funny too. She is not fake: what you see is what you get, ...her passion Is real.
She made a Dvd , Chante avec Lara ( sing with Lara) , with a vocal warm up, explanation of how she approch a song , etc.
I definitly recommand you to listen Caruso ( performamce From Lara with love, or concert Pure) , Adagio ( from Lara with love concert) , Perdere l'amore,( same show), Je t'aime ( victoire de la musique 1988, and live in paris 2001, when her audience surprise her, singing for and with her), Her intense performance with Johnny Hallyday , Requiem pour un fou( enfoiré en coeur1998).
She said in interview, that she loves all the great voice like Céline, Maria, Barbara, Aretha, Whitney...and when she was 13 years old, she was singing Céline songs and wish , that one day, they have the opportunity to sing a duo together, ...it would be amazing !!
Please, react to more from Lara!! I like your analysis and technic advises🎙

Am soooo grateful that you have now discovered this amazing vocalist/ story teller/ composer and lyricist. She is truly incredible. This reaction of yours has brought me to actually subscribe to your chanel and will be going over your other work. She is Belgium, where her dad is feom and her mom is from Italy. She had classical singin training together with piano lessons. She composes and writes 90% of what she sings. You probably know her amazing song Broken Vow, made popular in the USA by Josh Groban. He has also sang For Always with her. She is as you are now aware, Dimash’s idol. He has covered quite a few of her songs. She has also done a whole musical movie and album tittled MADEMOISELLE ZHIVAGO which she compose and wrote with Igor Krutoy whom you probably seen playing piano in a few Dimash’s videos. She also sings in 12 languages and is fluent in 5. You should try and listen in your own time to her last english album tittled: Camouflage
Great reaction. Cannot wait to hear you dissect her technique and placement etc cos as for a singer as myself it would be incredible to hear that from a vocal coach. When possible please react to:
Adagio ( live world music awards)
You’re not from here ( Live from Lara with love )

Greatest solo performance of this song ever. But now I am going to turn you and you audience / subscriber base to the best rendition of this song by a harmony group that will blow your mind! They go by the name “ forestella”
a 4 male crossover harmony group from South Korea. When they performed their first song “ Bohemian Rhapsody” it catapulted them to international stardom and they now have millions of followers worldwide. One of the Korean vocalists has a very deep bass/baritone voice. Another, a high operatic voice, and the other two group members (who are also solo performers) together perform a confluence of total emotional impact and passion and performed live on stage in front of thousands of their fans. Trust me, this will become one of your all-time favorites. Some of their other songs I recommend are Simon & Garfunkel classic “The Sound Of Silence”, Guardian “ Angel” that will lift your spirits and transport you to another world-especially during these troubled covid times.
I’ve watched “ji suis malade” 5 times and each and every time it moved me to the depths of my core!

Thank You ! I get angry when I see someone try to make another persons performance, all about themselves instead of the artist. They should have respect enough to watch the performance all the way through, then comment, and go back if needed to point things out. To talk over it or start and stop it, does a disservice to not only the artist but to the performance as well !

No intention to offend you too much, but seriously, you are a singer teacher and never heard about Lara Fabian? She s in top 10 as voice and i guess in top five as she deliver her music on stage...Maybe u should know that song ,at least this english subtitled version have 8 years on youtube.So...maybe we must be honest sometimes and should admit we knew her before....if not...and yet again with no offence in mind ...i feel pity for a singer teacher who never heard about Lara Fabian

Sorry, couldn’t even make it through your video. You said at the beginning you were going to analyze it afterwards and yet you talked and sang and gestured over the entire performance, thereby ruining any chance of your viewers/subscribers enjoying one of the most beautiful and poignant songs, sung by one of the most talented and emotive singers. Guess you just can’t help yourself. Try not to show off. If you’re going to react afterwards, then react afterwards and let us enjoy the song. I would like to subscribe, but not if this is the way that you do all of your reactions. Is it? Not trying to be harsh, but someone needs to bring it up. ☮️ ... Steve

      Hi, Steve
Ok, let me try to clear a couple of thing up. When I was talking in the beginning about analyzing afterwards, I was talking about my two minute tutorial, which happens after the reaction. Also, I do talk occasionally during the video because my passion is teaching singers, and the video can be watched elsewhere if that's not what you are looking for. It's all a matter of preference.
If you are a singer, I have a lot of videos here on singing techniques.

@@ramseyvoicestudio ... Matt, you have over 85K subscribers. Do you honestly think that every one of them is interested in vocal techniques? No, they are interested in some of the artists that you react to. So maybe you could just chill a bit with the comments during the video, making occasional ones, but maybe pausing and making them, and then continuing, because you are literally talking over the performance (and not using an “inside“ voice), so that the beautiful lyrics and performance cannot be heard. You said you talk occasionally during the performance. Perhaps you should go back and rewatch this reaction because I think he will see it was much more often then occasionally.
Ultimately, and I know it would take more time in the editing process, but you could put your comments in subtitles or surtitles over parts of the performance with your thoughts, and then speak more in depth during your tutorial at the end.
I watch a lot of reactors, including many other vocal coaches and teachers, and their techniques are not as intrusive as yours, so maybe check out some of the competition for some fine-tuning. I’m not saying don’t be yourself, I’m just saying there are other ways to be yourself. Here is a very good example of a vocal coach whose reaction technique I really appreciate because you still get to enjoy the performance, and you also learn about vocal techniques a bit during the performance when she pauses, and after words with her analyzation.
      ua-cam.com/video/yC4SVRa13OY/v-deo.html
Do you really want everyone who is not into vocal techniques to unsubscribe? Because that’s what it sounds like by your response.
      Respectfully,
      ☮️ Steve in Dallas

Steve, you should watch some of my earliest reactions. You have no idea how much I've toned down my "intrusions". I've tried both ways, too, pausing the video and mentioning what I heard, and now trying to just insert a quick comment over the video, but no one's happy, lol. Maybe this one was more than usual. But I appreciate the time you took to give me your point of view, I'm always adapting.

@@ramseyvoicestudio ... Matt, thank you for your polite reply. That’s all anyone can be asked of, is to entertain constructive criticism and to try and better themselves, whether it’s vocal reactions or in life in general.
Really wasn’t trying to dog on you, I was frustrated not just because of the way your reaction was done, but the fact that you didn’t use an “inside” voice or a whisper so that we could continue to hear the performance.
I’m not sure that I understand the value of exclaiming each key change throughout the song, as that is really just an observation, not a technique, so another unnecessary interruption in my humble opinion.
I do appreciate your knowledge and I will subscribe today to see how you progress, and hopefully it will be a bit less intrusive. I am also going to subscribe to thank you for taking the time to interact with my comments, and because I do like your personality overall (not that it’s a big prize to get me as a subscriber, when you already have over 85K haha).
Good luck and happy holidays ...
