    I had a 2005 dt. Loved it. Theres was a connector block behind headlight with 4 wires going in but on 3 coming out. Put earth wire in 4th socket and earthed it to top yoke. Massive power increase

    Traded My TS125x in for a brand spanker DT125R in 1989 Run it in to the letter. Then opened it up and was a tad disappointed ar the 63 mph top speed. My 125X would do around 77 mph. I learned of the power valve, altered it and it then went off the clocks but it lost the sweet lower revs as it only came a live when it hit the power band. God I remember thst engine noise so well. Thanks for sharing.

      Really? I have mine since 2003 to this day (20years) and I'm now 36. Most of the DTR's go for 600-1200euros here so its still the same price as 2002-2005 :)
      I know this was an old comment but decided to reply. Cheers!

    The Dt has a special place in my heart as It was the first bike I learned to ride on. Im not sure exactly what year mine was I think between (1987-1993) 50 cc so like the smaller brother of this one In light blue with a tear drop shape tank and Dt proudly displayed in yellow.Loved it deeply and the way it had both kick and electric start also.I miss the kick start bikes like the older dts the suzuki TS and Honda Xrs.Can I ask you this is the 125 now did it come with rear passenger pegs? I know the 50 didnt but I think I recall seeing them on a 125 model before? Mind you its a while ago now.

      I thought that alright.I think 125 -175 is the way to go with these bikes for starting off riding that is.Mind you the 175 and up is fairly pokey.The 125 is my favourite though.I think it has just the right amount of power and speed for me.I used to love how reliable it was.It would literally start for me first kick once it hadn't been left lying idle for more than two weeks.The one thing that was annoying was the way it overheated if I drove it too hard or for too long but even still I prefer the dt to most bikes nowadays.Just a solid overall machine.Safe riding brother 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

    It's me again,
    I bought an 06 RE 125 there back in july 2020. Was riding it till late October until the oil pump gave up the ghost and fried the top end. Been sat up till now, just being put back together at the moment. Also have a full dep series 2 on it. I noticed yours has an rpm and temp gauge, mine just has the speedo and then a section with the indicator, high/lowbeam and oil light etc just wondering if i buy a set of clocks like yours are they a direct plug and play?
    I also noticed the breaks are just straight up shit, brand new discs and pads with braided break lines (not that the lines make a difference they just look nice lol). Just wondering if you've had the same issue.
    What tires are you running in the video? i just have regular street tires on mine but wanting to make the switch to knobblies as i'd like to take a spin down the beach on the weekends etc.
    Also, lovely bike and nice to see another dt owner that's not a million kilometres away, from ireland myself :)

    Where you got that exhaust bro
    I recently bought a Yamaha 125dt(d)
    N I wanna add a similar exhaust,then change the reed flow valve,then change the carb,and then add a big bore kit.
    I just dunno where to find a good site that sells parts for the Yamaha dt series.
    Will the Yamaha yz series aftermarket work?

    • @lamahazz1579
      @lamahazz1579  3 роки тому

      Exhaust is from dirtbikexpress.
      Do all that but keep the 125 piston they go better and last longer 👍 you can’t really buy parts for them there too old can get some parts but body work and things are so hard to get will be second hand. Some yz stuff fits like fenders. Hope that helps 👍👍

    Nice bike mate :) But 2-stroke engines should smoke some. If your bike does not smoke I would look into how the fuel:oil ratio is. Should be burning AT LEAST 2%. I like to keep my 2-strokes between 2.5% - 3%. (1:50 - 1:33). You can easily measure this over the course of 2-3 fuel tanks.

    • @lamahazz1579
      @lamahazz1579  4 роки тому

      Marcus Z.N obvs there is some smoke I use an eco friendly oil so a lot less smoke and it’s warm not a cold start up. It has a oil pump so it does all the work for me I’m sure if there was a problem it would of blown up along time ago but thanks for your input and thanks for watching 😉

    • @MZMotor95
      @MZMotor95 4 роки тому

      @@lamahazz1579 all the modern 2stroke oils are made to meet standards these days, most of them produce the same amount of smoke but I see what you mean. Also, oil pumps can be adjusted, and they can also fall out of spec due to wire-stretch and more. Thats why older bikes are important to check oil useage on. Even though it wont blow up you can wear out the engine say twice as fast, but you can still ride it hundreds or thousands of miles before it dies. Its easy to check oil consumtion over time so I would recommend it.
