I don’t hate my closet but i clicked on this video because I’m in for any content you post and sure I’m open for new tips.. thank you for the effort you put in the video and hope you’re doing okay you and the baby🥰🤍🤍
Yess to the wishlist!! I only put stuff on this list if when I'm getting dressed I wished I had a type of item to complete a look MULTIPLE times. Right now my list has only 6 items, and it includes stuff like "cropped jacket" and "cream linen trousers". Then I shop slowly and only let myself buy stuff if it's checking something off my list that I've wanted for a while now bc it fulfills a hole in my wardrobe. This has helped me be more disciplined about clothing shopping and create a more intentional wardrobe with pieces that work together.
So true a Lot of influencers are styling the toteme or similar long striped sweater. I bought one and returned it because it did nothing for my body type. I like the striped sweater trend but bought one that worked with my height & shape. I use my tailor a lot, because I am short and I cannot find everything I like in my size. Thank you for the info. 😊
I've been shopping a lot less after making sure to always ask myself, "Is there something else I'd rather be wearing?" other than the purchase I'm about to make. There's always like 20% of the things we wear on rotation - and that is ok! It doesn't mean we're boring, it just means we know what apparels make us feel most confident :)
I love your content. You inspire me to enjoy what I wear and to value my creative expression in clothing while not being wasteful or feeling a false sense of urgency around fashion. Thank you!
Hi Germary, We're always changing, I moved from New York to N.C. almost everything changed, from climate to the way people dress in my new environment which is very casual. I worked with the best ladies on-line which I relates more with my style of dressing. I decided to keep my staple and adjust just a few clothing items. I have an amazing wardrobe while I care for and truly enjoy wearing..Love!!!
This advice is so practical, you said all the things I truly needed to hear, thank you. If you can talk about this forever, then know I can listen forever. I would love to see more videos like this.
This was super helpful! My issue is not really buying new clothes I won’t wear, my issue is getting rid of clothes that don’t fit me anymore or that were gifted to me by family or friends that I never wear. I have so many things in my closet from my dear mum who means well but she always gets me cheap stuff that isn’t to my taste at all 😅
I love this content. I think it is important to be loyal to your style and what makes you feel good, try to build a basic wardrobe based on your personality and lifestyle and make it more interesting by adding some trendy pieces now and then that go well with your basics and style them in your own way. Buy less but more intentionally, I think that is good advice!
All amazing tips!!! I especially love the wish list. I do a wish list but I have it on so many different devices so I need to merge them all and have them in one place. Love this video Thank you!
I love these kind of videos of yours!😍 Please do more :D I am at a point where I am quite happy with my closet but I have learned something new from this video. For example when you talked about influencers doing hauls all the time. That already made me buy things I don´t really need or things that just don´t have a function in my wardrobe. And I have never made a wishlist. I will try that! Thanks 🤗
Sizing up changed the game for me as well. I am petite & I used to shy away from upsizing. I tried it 2 years ago & maaan... I never go back to my actual size.
Please make a videp on basics shopping. Like what is actually included when you say basics. And also how to select piece that can be styled in many ways or woth which we can make different outfits
A big advice that has helped me is TRY THE CLOTHES! And look at yourself for a few minutes to decide if it’s you. If it’s the one you immediately feel good.
1. look at measurements, not the "size" to guesstimate how you want a piece to lay on you 2. sleep on it for at least 2 weeks if you can 3. if something is *almost good* don't get it, don't try to rationalize 4. avoid synthetic fabrics 5. use your intuition on shops, if you think they're relying more on photos, styling, and marketing rather than actually an expert in the art of clothing 5. related: be suspicious of pieces where they don't show it on a model, or the piece is highly styled--they always show it tucked in, only show the back/never face-on, have the model's hair covering part of it, etc. Changes are the pieces aren't very flattering. 6. re: wishlist-- if you write it down and forget about it, it's another sign you don't really need it in your life
If it doesn't fit, dont buy it , get rid of it or store it away. Only have clothes that fit you in your closet. Otherwise you truly dont have anything to wear...

I absolutely agree with you!
You don't need a lot of clothes, just the right ones.
Esssssactly 🤍🤍
The 'pay your bills first' hit close to home! lmao thank you for your advice!! Great as always
We’ve all been there 😩🤍
Everything you said is on point! I end up donating clothes that still have tags on them! So important to know your body and how to dress it.

So informative… you should write a book 💗
1. look at measurements, not the "size" to guesstimate how you want a piece to lay on you
2. sleep on it for at least 2 weeks if you can
3. if something is *almost good* don't get it, don't try to rationalize
4. avoid synthetic fabrics
5. use your intuition on shops, if you think they're relying more on photos, styling, and marketing rather than actually an expert in the art of clothing
5. related: be suspicious of pieces where they don't show it on a model, or the piece is highly styled--they always show it tucked in, only show the back/never face-on, have the model's hair covering part of it, etc. Changes are the pieces aren't very flattering.

sheesh!! read me like a book within the first two points lol
Gemary how do you find a quality tailor?
I change my closet buying trendy accessories that way I keep my clothes until they don’t fit 😂 or get damaged
Lipstick?

call me out 😫🤣💀 i’ve been good about “sleeping on it” in the past but recently .. 🥸 let me get my ish together
