I was born in the UK, I'm a soccer fan through and through, for 39 years. I came to Australia in 2005, became a Tigers fan a couple of weeks before Nathan Browne broke his leg. I was only here for 3 months and then I ended up in the middle east 2011 - 16 where they show footy on a thing called OSN. Moved to oz permanently in Dec 2016. It's hard for me to say this but footy is a unique sport and I enjoy watching it as much, if not more, than soccer!!
As a Bombers fan, this made me so happy. Richmond had never been a good side when I was growing up and to see this last year, is amazing. It’s what footy is about!
I'm a crows supporter and when that final siren went i balled into tears running out the front of my house and went on my knees and said Phil i wish you were still here but when i realized the tigers didn't win a grand final in 37 years i calmed down but the tigers deserved the grand final that year and plus 1st place doesn't usually win a grand final like Sydney came 1st 2 times and lost and geelong came 1st and lost the prelim and now Adelaide are apart of the 1st place drama but all credits to Richmond on the day played well the cup is yours but one day Adelaide will do it well hopefully...
My dad's best friend, the man I grew up knowing as an uncle, committed suicide in 2014. He was a life long Tiger fan, he would have been crying tears of joy to see this. It was a fantastic game.
I'm a big crows fan but Richmond deserved the win. They beat Geelong and gws and have (can't believe I'm saying this) absolutely smashed the crows in gf.
Even though I support the crows and they lost. It’s still gets you going hearing the “YELLOW AND BLACK” from the crowd at the end. Hopefully the crows can get another chance sometime in the next decade
i'm 12 and was lucky enough to be able to actually witness this at the mcg in person. it was the best experience ever and i'm pumped for the 2018 season 🐯💛🖤
I will never forget that moment for the rest of my life, I've been raised a Tiger from birth started with my Grand dad who passed long ago, my dad certainly seen the success of the 70s early 80s but thought I missed out Thank You to Dimma and my Tigers you've given us more than we could have imagined 🏆🏆🏆💛🖤😘😎
Tayla Hill It was SO loud! I didn’t get tickets ( my dad and brother did tho ) but I got on punt road. My sister and mum started crying, that’s how happy we were. It was an amazing experience to be there
I was on a walk with my cousin with the dogs when this happen it was only i got a text from fox footy to say that we one and i am a HUGE fan of the tiges and WELL DONE BOYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Admittedly I bandwagoned after this in off season of 2018, but I have to say now. After even a big loss to the Dogs last night now in 2023- I love this club. And Id never change anything, I love Richmond and if my blood wasnt red. Ahaha itd be yellow and black, well indoctrinated now. After the luckiest yes luckiest two years of my sporting life after that- back to back. We'll go again next year in 2024, go u Tigers!!!!!
I feel sorry for you because you are a DH, he didn't deserve the Norm Smith he did nothing in 1st half.Maybe if his Dad wasn't involved with murderers & drug dealers he could've been in Melbourne.
Saints have no chance, Demons might, but they don't have the list. Bulldogs could do it again but they would need a top 4 finish. If the Bombers played really well they could.
KS.VIDZ It's hard to get a read on them really, seeing as the only high they've really had since '99 was that weird situation in winning the elim against Richmond from 9th, but apart from that nothing to take from them except bottom table wandering. They could be 5 years or 20 or more away from a premiership really, but at a minimum I would say 5 or 6 years away. The Giants, Bombers, Port, Tigers and Geelong are just too strong at the moment, as well as the Crows and the Swans to allow anymore real contenders. So Carlton's chance is probably when a few of those teams premiership windows close up, maybe 5 or 6 years.
In a real "A"FL, this grand final would have been played at the Adelaide Oval. Can't keep having these de facto home GFs for Victorian teams who don't deserve it.
@@lv3915 2020 will probably be Eagles or Tigers. An Eagles vs Tigers grand final would be huge. The two biggest supporter bases in the AFL going head to head in the biggest game of the year.

I have been a Tigers fan all my life. Just wanted them to win one more in my life time, bloody fantastic. I can die a happy man. Love the Tiges
You'll live to see us win a few more before you go Kevin. Carn the Mighty Mighty Tigers.
