Excellent techniques. God bless you and thanks again!
Hi, thank you for the video. Please can the answers in listening and reading be written in Capitals or they have to follow the capitalization rule like the writing section?
Hi Jay, thank for all your videos. It is really giving me a structure, in particular writing. One thing I need to ask is about to discuss both sides and opinion. How the structure should be?
Trust me computer test are worst in India, as all their keyboards are old style desktop once. It’s very hard and sometime even few keys were getting stuck while typing the answers especially you will face this issue in listening and writing essay. I had given both type of IELTS test in IDP that is computer and paper based. So, I know now which one is better.
Hi Jay, quick question: I am planning to take CBT, so can I use capitals for listening and small letter for reading? Writing off course the regular format.
Hey Guys!!! Thank you so much for such a detailed information!!! I'm gonna take an exam on a computer at the first time so I was really nervous about my exam. But thanks you two I was able to know all ins and outs of the computer-based test!!!🤗🤗🤗 And you mentioned that we can highlight words in a screen right? Does it work everywhere? Or does the highlight system exist only in sophisticated exam centers? Thank you in advance guys!🔝
Hi there, I took an IELTS academic test recently, and managed to score a band 8(overall score). Thank you for all your hardwork. I really found your videos extremely beneficial. 😀
I live in a town and my speaking test was online, the guy was in a different place conducting my interview. So I got earphones and a microphone. My test was on paper and general English.
Please help me in clearing few of my doubts because I have my exam in next week : 1. Are you sure they give 1 hour for both(were we have freedom to give more time to task-2) and not just 20 & 40 mins for Task-1&2 in computer based IELTS? 2. Can we type everything in Upper case(capital) letter in reading and listening for computer based IELTS? 3. Do they give short breaks after 1 module is over and before starting of another module? If yes, then for what duration? Those who have already gave computer based ielts in 2022, please help!!!
So by all capital? No, does that also mean that we have to just write first alphabet capital and rest in small in listening and reading too? Because in reading and listening there is not much concern of punctuation but rather correct answer and correct spelling
1. You get pen and paper 2. There is a suite of onscreen tools: change color change text size
use a highlighter 3. can move between sections (but not reading and writing) 4. no need to count words 5. there is a timer on screen 6. you don't get extra minutes 7. Don't write in capital letters 8. you get headphones 9. no bathroom breaks 10. speaking test is not on computer
The thing is everyone should decide based on their typing skills. If you can't type 50 words in a minute, you're not used with a UK type board and you aren't sure for the quality of computers on the test centre than don't go for that?
Thanks for the information about CD IELTS. I still few doubts please help me. 1. Can I write all caps in reading and listening test ? 2. Can I use [s] for singular plural confusion ?
Hi! I love your videos, they’re really educational! I would like to ask you, if you know, if there is an undo option in the writing part of the test? When, for example, the examinee accidentally delete their text, is it possible to bring it back somehow? Like in Word Office ?
I love to appear in IELTS again, but I think, my personal suggestion, to give at least 60-100 seconds to recheck all answers like paper-based there are 5 min after each section, to check answers again.
Great information! Taking computer-based IETLS tomorrow for the first time (I did take it twice up until now several years ago, but those were paper-based ones).
Does headphone really help blocking keyboard clicking sound from around? That's my ONLY concern for Computer based. I am quite sensitive to sounds around.
I only have one more doubt...in the computer test, are candidates provided also with the question physical paper? For example for the reading, do they give us also the paper or we can only read the text on the computer?
I just want to say thanks to you sir, your tips for IELTS was really helpful for me,especially in reading.I got 7 overall in the exam😍.I couldn't have scored 7 for my reading without your help.

Hi Jay, thank for all your videos. It is really giving me a structure, in particular writing. One thing I need to ask is about to discuss both sides and opinion. How the structure should be?
We have a video here: ua-cam.com/video/o57euMOfcek/v-deo.html
and more in our course at E2Language.com 👍
I gave my Ielts test to apply for PR in Canada. I got 8 bands Overall. S: 8, L:9 R:8.5 W:7.5. I’m so happy
Computer Based or Paper Based?
Must reply 🙌
@@prabhsandhu5746 Computer based
How long did you prepare?
@@isaiaholuchi9221 Tbh Just a few days (6-7 days)
How about the practice tests? Which sites and materials did you use for the short period?
Thank you for this, because I was really worried about the font and colour.
🙂
Trust me computer test are worst in India, as all their keyboards are old style desktop once. It’s very hard and sometime even few keys were getting stuck while typing the answers especially you will face this issue in listening and writing essay.
I had given both type of IELTS test in IDP that is computer and paper based. So, I know now which one is better.
You guys are soooo helpful and friendly :)
For listening, do you get ~30 seconds to preview the questions for each section like the paper based test ?
Yep, you get lots of 30-second pauses just like in the paper test 👍
@@E2IELTS Great! This is the only question I'm struggling to find answers to!!
But i heard we don’t get time to read questions , the audio starts immediately as the test commences in first section , is it true ?
Hi Jay, quick question: I am planning to take CBT, so can I use capitals for listening and small letter for reading? Writing off course the regular format.
Alex and Jay...i love you guys...well done
Aight, taking the academic computer delivered test tomorrow.
How was that?
I completed my test 2 days ago. My speaking happened on Computer due to pandemic. High definition video conferencing.
Hey Jay Alex you guys are supap thank you very much for helping me to get my desirable score in IELTS
Which is better for you, paper based test or computer? Thanks for answering
Hey Guys!!!
Thank you so much for such a detailed information!!!
I'm gonna take an exam on a computer at the first time so I was really nervous about my exam. But thanks you two I was able to know all ins and outs of the computer-based test!!!🤗🤗🤗
And you mentioned that we can highlight words in a screen right?
Does it work everywhere? Or does the highlight system exist only in sophisticated exam centers?
Thank you in advance guys!🔝
Good work guys, thanks very much
Hi there, I took an IELTS academic test recently, and managed to score a band 8(overall score). Thank you for all your hardwork. I really found your videos extremely beneficial. 😀
I live in a town and my speaking test was online, the guy was in a different place conducting my interview. So I got earphones and a microphone. My test was on paper and general English.
Please help me in clearing few of my doubts because I have my exam in next week :
1. You get pen and paper
2. There is a suite of onscreen tools:
change color
change text size
use a highlighter
3. can move between sections (but not reading and writing)
4. no need to count words
5. there is a timer on screen
6. you don't get extra minutes
7. Don't write in capital letters
8. you get headphones
9. no bathroom breaks
10. speaking test is not on computer
Hi jay...
Now the computer based IELTS speaking is done through VC...
Hey did you find out regarding 1 ?
Thanks for the tips. Best wishes ❤️❤️❤️
Are we allowed to find search options by control + F in reading paragraph
Hello jay and alex,
Can we write all capital in reading in Computer based Ielts?
Hi! I love your videos, they’re really educational! I would like to ask you, if you know, if there is an undo option in the writing part of the test? When, for example, the examinee accidentally delete their text, is it possible to bring it back somehow? Like in Word Office ?
I have a very important question that I really want an answer for - Can I use the search function (ctrl F) in the reading section?
Unfortunately not!
I love to appear in IELTS again, but I think, my personal suggestion, to give at least 60-100 seconds to recheck all answers like paper-based there are 5 min after each section, to check answers again.
Can we write all CAPS in Reading and Listening in Computer based test?
Great information! Taking computer-based IETLS tomorrow for the first time (I did take it twice up until now several years ago, but those were paper-based ones).
What's result? How it was compared to PBT ?
Hw did it go
I have a question about the computer-delivered listening test. Is there a deduction in marks if the format is different eg. 6 - 8 pm and 6pm - 8pm?
In the listing test, can you use the tab button to move to the next input field. Would be helpful for the fill in the blanks parts
Do we can use keyboard function CTRL+F to find certain vocab on reading the screen on reading section?
Thank you E2🎈
Is there any websites that helps me practice reading just like the computer based - I mean with highlighting and all ?
Tq for ur videos..i got overall 7 band in ielts cbt
Does headphone really help blocking keyboard clicking sound from around? That's my ONLY concern for Computer based. I am quite sensitive to sounds around.
I only have one more doubt...in the computer test, are candidates provided also with the question physical paper? For example for the reading, do they give us also the paper or we can only read the text on the computer?
thank you people you just made me decide the computer form.
Thanks that was Helpful
I just want to say thanks to you sir, your tips for IELTS was really helpful for me,especially in reading.I got 7 overall in the exam😍.I couldn't have scored 7 for my reading without your help.
Thank you sir for the information.
Thank you so much for all this information about the computer-based test. They are extremely helpful!
Only one question though, can I use capital-letters for all the listening answers? Thank you!
Hey did you figure this out ?
I recently took my IELTS and I'm happy I chose to take the Computer-delivered test instead of the Paper-based. I got my results in two days and navigating through the entire exam was more manageable for the former! Thanks for the heads-up and tips, Jay and Alex! Warm greetings from the Philippines. 🇵🇭🙏
Congrats. In writing , computer also count space?
Hi. Have you taken the paper test before? You preferred the computer because you've written paper right?
MOST HELPFUL VIDEO! THANKS A ZILLION
Thank you for that video, but i could find that the only challenge is the listening test as in case of straight writing so spilling could challenge especially in big words
Hi jay wish u happy merry christmas
Is it legitmate to use "Control" + "F" in Computer-Delivered IELTS Reading ?
Yes
.1 Can you open tabs or browser in the exam.
2 can you use word or notepad apps?
Thank you so much for your information 😊😊
Janet (from the good place) and Draco Malfoy (my two favourites) are teaching english now. I LOVE IT!!!!
Thank you! I've been watching E2's videos for a few days and I had the feeling that Alex resembles someone I've seen. Until I read this comment of course. She does indeed look like Janet from The good place.
Please, may I ask to share CD mock test link? Thank you.
