My elementary school years were in Nanton. We lived in an old house on the other corner of the block that CIBC building is on. Nixon Motors was across the street from us. I remember the town siren went off every day at 12 noon. I walked home from elementary school for lunch and on my way back, I always stopped at JJ's Confectionary Store and bought Double Bubble gum for 2 pennies and suckers for 5 cents. Thanks for bringing back the memories.
Thanks for sharing your memories of your old school. Kids used to sit on top of the mud scrapers and fall backwards and hit their heads on the scraper below. Eventually a steel bar was welded halfway to prevent the accident. You could still sit on top but you could put your feet on the welded crossbar. A bit safer. Anyway... great video! Russ from Winnipeg.
OH, YOU rogue!! 😲 Such antics... I remember having to see the principal in grade 5 because I came to school with a Ducks A$$ hair style... (1950's) I was forced to go home, explain to mom "why". I really didn't know why. But dad gave me a nice "high and tight" cut real quick. Thanks for your early memories.😊
