Thanks for this video, mine new one was not fitting well, because the new cap was a bit big, and was hitting wall. My largest washer was broken. I replaced the broken one with one I got with new vaccum breaker and all worked.
I got this at Menards, a midwest regional home improvement store. Most hardware stores should be able to order the parts if they do not have them. I wish you the best on your repair
@@user-yr1bo3fx2x Not really. Ever since, I've had a very slow drip leak from the same area (at times) - from under the vacuum breaker cap even after replacing it and the internal piece with the official one. But I've also had a second slow drip (also only at times) from between the two connected halves of the hose bib itself which would require replacing the whole thing, which means plumber soldering (tightening it did not work). Sucks.
If you are leaking from the piece you removed, you do not need to shut the water off!!

great job
Thanks very helpful
glad to help
Doesn't it just figure that the vacuum breaker cap is right up under that "shiplap" in the siding? 😠
it seams nothing is easy with plumbing
Where did you get the replacement

You forgot to say how the black washer is placed and to turn on main water you shut off at the beginning
