Great interview and very inspirational Dentaa. 19 Jan 2021 is my last day in the Australian Army and by God's Living Grace, mid February I am moving back to Sierra Leone for good. Except for few business trips or holidays to see my families. Such interview makes me appreciate God Almighty for His provisions in my life to make my move back home a possibility.
Thank you Dentaa and ODANA NETWORK team.

Some of us in the diaspora came with nothing but we diligently work our way to the top to build a decent life for ourselves and families because we decided that this is it. But I believe if we bring the same mindset when we move back home we will eventually make it.
I heard someone say that we can live in abroad for over 20yrs with dead end jobs and hardships and we still push through it but when we come back home and things don’t turn around within a year or two we move right back.

Chief Kufuor is a wealth of knowledge and he is so encouraging! That's another reason I love to watch your show you have the best, kindest, most successfully well rounded individual's who encourages everyone to do their best and believe in themselves. I understand where the Ghanaian's are coming from we have seen foreigners come to America and have more advantages than African-Americans could ever dream to have, but our system is purposely designed that way to keep us in our place. I just wish that more of us had the means (the resources/finance) to return because I think that they would be happier but the lie that American tell us is the illusion of stability. We all fear not being able to carry for ourselves when we can no longer work and even though our Social Security will not pay all our bill without additional help it all the hope that we have.

Dentaa!! My goodness, your interviews are always so insightful, educational, inspirational and so much more because of the quality of your questions and the observations you make based on the answers you receive. One point that resonated with me was how those who want to set up businesses sometimes feel discouraged because Ghanaians would rather choose a white person's proposal or business because of an ingrained belief that it will ultimately be better. That self-limiting belief is one that has plagued and stymied African-American progress for decades. Our communities economic growth and progress continue to be negatively impacted by the subconscious belief that we'll get better customer service or products from businesses that are not Black-owned or operated. We've been fed that BS for so long that we've internalized it and it has become a sort of self-fulfilling prophecy.

Her eye sparkle like diamonds, her smile was a beautiful string of pearls, her hair was jet black and framed her face so that she resembles an earth angel and her laugh was like a gentle breeze blowing through the trees. I have not adequately described your or her beauty due to the fact that we so seldom find words to describe our black beauty, I pray that will change in my life time. Time in Africa is not the same as time in the west, it should not be disrespected. Running to work in the UK regardless of the weather, regardless of health, regardless of bereavement and only to be disrespected with racist people and systems, should not be the standard for Africa. You will find the suicide rates in the UK (even just London) will be crazy compared to those in Ghana. Please dont transport that poison to the continent. This is not efficiency its slavery.

These western outsiders should be viewed as the alternative and the African-owned, African managed hotel seen as the first choice. Africa is HIS home country not the westerners. African businesses are being bullied by outsiders in their own homeland. You would never see a US hotel located on US soil viewed as an alternative to an African owned hotel.
