I feel like Berggren is the replacement for Daniel Sprong.
Burger wants out of Detroit
He should be the replacement for Patrick Kane.
@@norrisnick If you’re expecting him to replace Kane it’s going to be another disappointing year.
@@itsthefool9454 he is a rfa. if detroit wants him he will be in detroit. cant see a team offering a huge deal for an ahl player.
@@itsthefool9454 he wants a full time NHL spot, which he'd have next season. So unless he feels completely burned/wronged by Detroit (which he really shouldn't) then his NHL career is on the up and up as a full time player next season.
I went to that last Griffins home game. Was honestly one of the most exciting games I've ever been to. Killed off 2 different 5 on 3's, 4 goals in the 3rd, Berggren with a hatty, then locked it down. Sucks they couldn't win today on the road, but holy cow what a final game at Van Andle Arena. Berggren has gotta be on the team next year. The kids are doing well. LGRW 🐙 🏒 🤘
Bring all young guys up and tank for no 1 draft
im a believer in elmer
23:15, pausing to say that the powerplay was doing fantastic without Kane early on in the season. There were several points late in the season with both Kane and Ghost that the PP was non existent or looked awful due to zone entry troubles. Not only can the powerplay be OK without them, it can also be 10x worse.
Unless they address the chronic issue of zone entries, the specific players are a slightly lower concern.
(All that being said, I think both of them being back is the right call)
How do you expect to make room for Edvinsson if we bring back the only defenseman who's set to come off the books?
You trade or buy out other ones. Maatta or Holl being the primary candidates.
Surely SE is not GRG bound again. That would be brutal.
I expect them to make a decision on Johansson as he is 23.
Trades
Reality is you need to move on from Ghost, trade Walman and Holl/Maatta.
Looking at the talent depth of Florida, Dallas, and NYR, there are years of rebuild ahead.
Florida and Dallas maybe. NY literally has Mika Z at 1C.
How did no one bring up Nathan Mackinnon for a player to handpick XD Guy is winning the hart, Still young(ish, he's 28 and i don't see him dropping off within the next 5 years) and a true bonafide #1C on almost any team in this league. Consensus top3-top5 player in the league year in year out, and plays Center which instantly fixes our Center depth
Will y'all be able to get to Sennecke and Connelly? McKenzie has them at 14th and 15th. I don't get it. I have Jiricek, Brandsegg-Nygard, Chernyshov, and Hage (none of these in McKenize's latest top 15) over them, and I haven't even looked at all the guys I want to (i.e. Luchanko, Emery, Beaudoin, and Solberg).
What do you think happens to Fabbri this off season?
I think the elephant in the room for the wings is goaltending. If Lyon starts 40+ games again we are toast.
Highly agree and the “1B” goalie we have alongside him is coming off an injury and very lacklustre play before that. Almost does not matter what we do if that’s the tandem we bring back we’re dead in the water.
In 1992/93 jets had 5 rookies in one season.
I would be OK with trading 15 for 11 right now. Might pay less to do it because there isn’t a Catton or Iginla or whatever preferred option stating a team in the face. Chicago may have felt that way and would be OK with “guaranteeing” a Greentree, Nygard, Senneke, Connelly, Hage or Jiricek with their pick now more or less. Probably was cheaper. Like the teams that trade for a player before the trade deadline approaches and pays less because they don’t run into a bidding war.
38:00 funny, Sprong has the same time on ice as Kane, and almost the same point stats, Kane has slightly more, but Sprong has slightly better in terms of production vs higher level competition.
Sprong has more takeaways, less giveaways, more blocked shots and less expected goals against than Kane.
Kane has had the support of the top 5 players, Sprong has had the bottom 5.
And even when looking at line efficiency rankings, Sprong is part of 5 lines ranked higher than Kane's best, including sprong-Larkin-Raymond at 13th. Kane-Larkin-Raymond shows up at 24th in Xgoals.
So he's younger, cheaper, better defensively, and produces better at the top and bottom lines compared to Kane.
But I agree he seems to have an attitude problem with the front office, I'm just sick of blowing smoke up Kane's ass.
If you removed the names and just looked at the stats anyone would see Sprong is the no-brainer, if nothing else just for his age vs Kane's

Kane was one of only 6 Wings to be a + at 5v5 this year. He had the 2nd lowest GA/60 at 5v5 among the top 6, behind only Perron and well ahead of Cat Larkin and Raymond. And on and on and on. Sprong ranks very highly in some of the purely offensive production based categories, right up there w Kane. But he falls like a rock when you go to the relative and % categories, bc no, he isn't better at defense. he's awful at defense. Kane despite his reputation does his job defensively, and his line w Cat and Larki (the team's best all year by a lot) was miles better than the Raymond version at not giving up goals or chances - besides being miles better than it at actually converting goals.
Kane at 5v5 was one of the best players on the team. Kane w the power play factored in was arguably the best player on the team, and certainly in the top 2 or 3. also, Kane did all this while relatively rarely playing w Dylan Larkin 5v5 or on the power play, the only legit top 6 center on the team. if he'd been full time w Larkin and Cat he'd have been Auston Matthews last season. not an exaggeration.
I never thought I would say this as I really want Kane to stay BUT Bergrgeen does play a very similar game and has been lighting it up in GR - I I could see him replacing Kane, he could do a little better, he could do a little worse but there is at least someone in the pipe you could slot into that position so long as your expectations about a 200ft game are realistic.
That’s a huge discrepancy in talent and production. Berggren is probably more of a Fabbri replacement for me, you could clear out his 4M cap hit and have someone replace his production for a fraction of the price.
Evan taking a victory lap: 😐
Your LED rope lights have been slowly falling little by little every episode.
oh ffs, thank you haha
Catton is a nice player: ua-cam.com/video/EIfxROLkeHo/v-deo.html
Will be surprising if he's available at 15th pick.
oh damn im early early lol
They lowkey rude to evan he j chillin and then suddenly they calling him dumb
You should hear what he calls us off air 😂
I would like to see if he shows up and does not disappoint in the preseason is Kasper make the Roster he is so good and better than Bert in the corners and behind the net and passes the puck he does need to shoot more and when he has the puck he goes to the net and not just fire from the circle ect. He is talented and I would not mind seeing him and Mazur get some recognition. I don’t want SY saying oh if we were a bad team? They are not going to be any better this season so Atleast see what they could actually prove and they can always be sent down. Not to mention Danielson he could have been on the team but SY is blocking the younger players and he gets worse in FA. Let them Atleast try. Don’t just sign a FA because you don’t want them yet because they have waivers ect. It’s dumb that even playoff teams had rookies playing.
Kasper most likely will be with GRG with call ups. I think Danielson already surpasses Marco's development since the demonstration in last years preseason.
If possible, resign both
Kane better resign
welcome to the mushy middle
We made that decision when we didn't trade Larkin to tank for Bedard/Michkov etc
Fortunately Hockey is the easiest sport to build a Cup Team.
2/3rd Teams are complete Idiots
@@laonpowell6823 Did not matter if we tanked, the NHL draft lottery will never favor us.
Bring back Kubalik 🥇
First!😮
No Brainers:
Trade:
-Walman
-Hossa
-Holl
Let Go:
-Perron
-Sprong
We let Hossa go to Chicago when we signed Franzen. It was between those two and we chose Franzen. Then Hossa won 3 cups.
@@MyHandleShouldBeLessCharacterswhat’s the point of this comment? Like wow the net is filled with sorry ppl. Yk he meant husso and you go off on a hossa story from 15 years ago 😂 Drunk?
@@MyHandleShouldBeLessCharacters
Huh? I obviously mean Husso... are you being Sarcastic? I was livid we signed Franzen over Hossa.. probably subconscious reason for my typo. I think we also let go of Jiri as well?
Walman- maybe depending on the term.
Husso-if he his sent to Boston with half of his contract eaten plus some picks/prospects for Ullmark
Holl- were going to have to package picks with him or trade him for nothing while retaining salary
Perron- 2x3 at most
Sprong - bye bye
@@charlesgill280
Highly disagree
All the moves I suggested are necessary for Cap.. No reason to play Walman bottom 6 and easier move than Chiarot
Husso- We don’t need anything back just needs his cap space the same goes for Holl
Absolutely no reason for Perron to be on team at this point in rebuild
Already a cap team that can’t even make the playoffs. Good grief.
