You could've hexed the shudderwock after it failed to die. You win when you pull of shudderwock anyways. A hex in hand is not worth dieing for
He didn't want to hex a 7/1 when he was going to play Shudderwock next turn, which comes with a 2 damage AoE. If he was at 15 life, then yeah, play hex to save 7 life. But he wasn't. He was at 28 life. The chance that the opponent would somehow burst 21 damage from hand that turn was a lot less than the 25% chance that his shudderwock would miss recycling itself. The only problem was that he ended up playing the Grumble he top-decked because he didn't think he'd take 10 burst from the hand.
you're failling to consider something Drift Wisp. The opponent had a deck all built around shudderwock, and there were at least 2 cards he could be running in his deck that bring shudderwock back to his hand. Since the opponent played it before generating a copy, getting rid of it before the opponent can get more value seems pretty good to me. even if he doesn't get windfury and win instantly, just having it bounce back to his hand can be a serious issue.
I think you're wrong about that. The opponent seemed to be playing an Elemental Shaman build that ran Shudderwock just because it's a good card in a deck that has good battlecries already. That being said, even if he did bounce the wock, that would still give time for Trump to do his own combo, so it wouldn't be too dangerous of a position.

I like to use the darkness. If you use murmuring elemental beforehand you can put six candles in their deck. Then if you use the coin, murmuring elemental and Shudderwock you can put another 6 in, along with the rest of your battle-cries triggering twice
At 7:27 should’ve used tidal surge first to maximize the healing from healing rain. Love your work btw

@4:35 you could have just shudderwocked, zola doesn't need a chain gang to spawn a copy of it first, zola will just copy the first shudderwock

I like the intro before the intro and how the game was already under way as it was saying "THE MADMAN".
That last game makes me feel good. It was deserved for being excessively greedy.
Worse, Hagatha's a pretty lousy card which makes the "low roll" Shudderwocks worse by softening them up for removal, AND the deck lacks enough draw to actually reach the finish line before any number of slower decks can do things like we just saw.
There's FAR too much reliance on cheeky unreliable cards like Acolyte and Doomsayer, for reasons.
Far Sight is draw but it's also a horrendous tempo loss, which is not fine if your opponent is doing basically anything ever.
In theory, one could take more proactive approaches with Loot Hoarders instead of Acolytes (because we don't live in a world of 100% Volcano combos on turn 8+), and fit in a Twilight Drake or two rather than relying on Tar Creeper, both vastly improving "low roll" Shudderwock fails AND giving a bulky guy for midgame initiative.
tl;dr - I see lots of room for this deck to continue to improve, but being excessively greedy AND slow is a recipe for disaster to get wrecked by crappy low tier decks after you talk them down at the start of the game. ;D
I think trump got the highest probability event from the volcano from 17:15 . Simply two 4 health minions and one 5 health minion assign 12 point of randomly, it is higher probability for one of the 4 health ones to survive than the 5 health individual. While the 5 health individual is clearly highest probability individual to survive.

Ever considered Bonemare for Shudderwock? I've tested it only 2 times but, every time, on a board with 3-4 enemy minions on it, it gave my shudderwocks the +4/+4. Bonemare does specifically say, "Give an ALLY +4/+4 and taunt."

I just slapped a zoo package with keleseth, fire fly and glacial shards and whatnots with the normal Shudder package with a buncha healing and apparently odd paladin doesn't like it thanks to the Kobold Apprentices.
And its fun having a 6-5 Kobold Apprentice sometimes.

hexing one of the Shudderwocks will result in clearing a 5/1 that can't attack half the time, when you intend to play a 2 damage AoE (shudderwock) next turn anyway, which is completely pointless. Hexing the 7/1 shudderwock after the volcano when you intend to play a 2 damage AoE next turn saves you 7 life. Not terrible, and a good play if you're low on life, but he was at 28 life at the time. The chances of 21 burst over the next two turns are less than the chances shudderwock misses the recycle and gets cleared, in which case the hex is relevant, like for clearing that 9/9 Kalimos. The only problem was that Trump ended up playing the Grumble he top-decked instead of the shudderwock, which is pretty questionable but not really wrong. It just relied on the opponent not having ten points of burst, which they did.
Would it not make sense to put that 6 mana 6/6 "destroy every card that costs 3 or less in your deck" card into the shudderwock combo? If you're waiting on grumble or shudderwock, then reducing the amount of cards to draw through by 50% is a big help in getting the otk sooner

For me, Shudderwock Shaman is almost as exciting to watch as mill warrior was back in the day. This is the deck that i look most forward to. Aggro decks are just lame and they don’t require any special thinking or strategy. Nothing beats an hour long video watching trump playing mill warrioir. I wish they hadn’t removed coldlight oracle, just so i could see Trump playing mill warrior against the new wotchwood decks.

Am I missing something in that first game? What was he talking about with 75% it seemed like he was guaranteed to get a Shudderwock back to his hand and copy it a bunch of times
Lightning storm at that point most likely was a dead card I would have traded 3 mana to save 7 damage to face especially against hagetha who could have gotten a bloodlust or windfurry or any burn damage to face. He overvalued the storm and held it.

As fun as it was, shudderwock didn't need 50 something battlecries anyway. Also theoretically you could still shudder-yogg in wild if you just like bullshit length effects.

Win rate is a pretty bad way of judging that card, its there to help vs the worst matchups. The only time it hurts the control matchups is vs hadronox druid or maybe control lock style boards, but they will probably be unable to otk you after its finished clearing their board anyway. In all probability they will save the time and quit out.
Anyone else notice the "bad gateway" in the top left of the second match? That's what I call P R O D U C T I O N
So I changed out Hagatha for a second Drake, cut 1 blood drinker for the healing kobold, and forgot what else I cut but I put in one arcane missile mobile. And I like that version better since shudder doesn't die to double drake now. And it meta only 1 up healing loss. So I fused your and krips deck together.

What do we think about one of stonehill dfender in this deck? with hagatha it has battlecry add a minion AND a spell to hand, and when the minion gets played you get another spell. Also it goes on shudderwock, not that that matters much.
So upon studying Victorian literature I realized that shudderwock is a direct reference to jabberwock the poem with can be found in Charles Dodgson “through the looking glass” where it actually even says his jaws that bite his claws that catch

Hey Jens big fan from the very beggining you started working with Trump! In my opinion the music you usually pick (WoW, Fable etc) fits more with Trump whereas the music in this video reminds me of generic streamers. Or maybe I'm used to the fantasy music stuff you usually pick and it feels a bit off.
I loved the new beats in this video Jens! Get's a little stale hearing the same tracks all the time.
