Some years ago my wife and I went to see the first concert our eldest cellist granddaughter Alana played in with the Northampton Junior Youth Orchestra. I expected to see and hear a lot of hopeful kids scraping away on their instruments, I was knocked out and enthralled when they opened with this piece, wonderfully and expertly performed. We never missed a performance since then.
