Aashay Tambi You’re right, all windows are tinted in every Porsche. My remark was about the (extra dark) privacy glass on the back-side and aft windows. Privacy glass is an option on every Porsche model, not standard equipment.

Regarding your dog running around at 2:10; I think it would be imprudent or even outright rude of me to leave a _friendly_ comment on UA-cam, so by not telling you how to live your life with the following statement, I'd be just the worst. So per protocol, here's an overtly intrusive suggestion:
You may not want to let your dog freely roam the parking lot. It'd be hard to see something as nimble as that lurking around the wheels of my car and I'd really hate to Tiananmen Square an innocent little doggy on an otherwise beautiful Connecticut day. Perhaps just keep them on a lease until in a more predictable environment.

As someone who has exclusively owned silver/grey cars (albeit by pure coincidence) I applaud your leap of color! The Mamba green looks far better on camera than the horrible renders on Porsche's website would suggest and is a nice change of pace from the 50 shades of Mid-Level Manager Metallic that is commonly found on most luxury cars.

It took me about 30 days of repeated attempts before I could get my Porsche ID Connect to finally stick on my 2020 Macan S. I have no Idea why but keep trying every week or so, it will eventually work. I wasn't brave enough to get the Mamba Green, mine is the not too boring Night Blue with a beige interior. I actually love the combination and it doesn't seem to be too common. Good luck, I absolutely love mine.

I just traded my Macan GTS for a 718 Cayman base. Nick is totally right about the Macan not being a sports car. It's a quiet, comfortable, compact SUV with some Porsche DNA injected into it but a year into it I realized that I really missed driving something that was small, light and agile. The dealership gave me a good deal on the trade and I am loving the 718. Anyway, the Macan is a great daily and I can see why Porsche sells so many of them. Love the color, Nick!

I live nearby, 06824, and can attest to the endless sea of gray.black, silver cars around here. Soooo... when it came to buy my Jeep Wrangler, only one color would work for me - Hypergreen. Driving around here in a striking green car is polarizing, people either love it or don’t say anything. Young kids seem to dig it, every now and then a little one will wave at me. With the lift and all the mods it probably looks like a big toy. Good luck with the new Macan, maybe I’ll see you around. Btw - I just found your channel tonight. After many years on this earth, I was visiting Toronto last month and finally saw KITT, a perfect replica or one of the real cars, who knows, driving down the road, and it looked terrible, cheap and terrible. I was so disappointed. Like they say, never meet your heroes. Also the look and reaction from Tui when you raised your foot to her was priceless, she was like "did he seriously have the gall to raise his foot at me?" 😂

Every time I get in the Macan mood my wife says are you crazy why would you buy a Porsche SUV, that goes against everything Porsche is.
Nick, a much larger travesty than exterior paint color is just how much there are to ultra-boring black interiors that pepper the auto landscape :-( Brown would have been super on this. Personally I’ll never get a black interior again.
The ONLY thing that drives me nuts with the updated look of the Macan is the updated LED headlights. The top two leds angle down, like angry eyebrows. Looks really good. The bottom two leds are flat and horizontal. It looks so out of place to me. I don't know why they didn't angle the bottom two down slightly so it would almost an X pattern. I feel like it would have given it a much more symmetrical look. As it sits now it just seems like they forgot to angle the bottom leds.. Other than that I love the refined look, the light bar, the front end. Just looks so much nicer. The interior as well is A+ The infotainment definitely updates the interior with the screen and the placement of the vents.
Congrats on the car.......Getting my 2020 X3 M40i soon (its being built) - let me know if you want to do comparison.
Get a matching 911, and spec the interior with exterior color inserts, then get a license plate that says Kermit. Kermit the 911 and Kiwi the Macan. And to top it all off, drive around with a Green Lantern shirt. Then just remember to save some pussy for the rest of us.

You might try another dealer regarding car connect etc. When I picked my car up at PCNA, they could not get the apps to work. However, my local dealer, Porsche of Conshohocken (just outside of Philadelphia), connected it without fuss. Also, my 2019 PCM informed me today that the software was updated. Guess what - Wireless Apple CarPlay automatically! (Yes, I paid the extra $360 to have CarPlay in addition to the PCM navigation system.)
The intro was priceless. Thanks Nick and good job. BTW, in Sweden, if you call someone green, it means you are a beginner.

Luv the green Nick. Was going to order one in NZ here but could not wait at 75 yrs of age for 5 months. Fortunately a Silver used one came up for sale 2019 saving me approx 30grand. Same mags as yours, but hard to clean. Sun roof of which my bald head did not need but when buying second hand s model. No complaints. best car I have ever driven of my 37 vehicles. First car ever owned was a 356 porsche back in 1967 at a cost of Can$1100.00. Still have ownership papers but sadly not the car. DRIVE CAREFULLY.

Excuse my ignorance. But, why is one of the Macan trim level called “Turbo” when all Macan engines are turbocharged? Unless I’m mistaken, the entry trim has a 2.0 4 cylinder turbocharged engine, doesn’t it? I hope that my lack of knowledge doesn’t disqualify me as a future Porsche owner. I ask so that I can learn.
I agree; mamba gree makes it look a bit "cooler". Nevertheless, wearing a Ray Ban Balorama doesn't turn me into Dirty Harry. Why didn't you buy something interesting instead of the Macan. Even a Ford Focus is cooler than this cringeworthy succer-mom-mobile (but in mamba green which means the husband is a bit of a pseudo fancy douchbag ). It's not that I don't like you, I'm just disappointed (again).
Great video Nick. I have a sapphire blue 991.2 GT3 and a Golf r as a daily which I’m looking to change for a Macan GTS for a bit more luxury. Just deciding whether to go for a used 2016 car or pay the extra for a brand new S Macan like yours ( but in black ;))
Haha Macan owners talking about their “sports car” lol. I sold my sportscar last year for a competition pack F80 M3. It pushes 550hp and is a LIGHTNING to 150mhp, is can really scare the shit out of me with some buttons pushed. I drive it all year round to work, drive my baby boy in the back some days, do occasional trackdays and its just such a overall winner in my life, for now. But as fast as it is, its not a sport car. And yes, its a extremely unusual individual green of course Nick, one of two worldwide actually. Paint is key🌱
Ordered my 911 Carrara white, easier to keep clean, cooler in the summer AND blends in, drawing less attention from certain public servants. Get what makes you happy. Piano black is horrid, but at least you're reminded of Smudge every time you wipe the trim clean. Enjoy the color, "It's not easy being green", Kermit the Frog. The Porsche apps are clunky and a pain, they work on mine, but stuck with a wire.

I agree SOOO much with your sentiment. When my wife and I were shopping for a new GLC she wanted black and I had delivery an entire speech to convince her to please reconsider. We settled on the new Mercedes Spectral blue. Long story short, 2021 chip shortage later...and now we own a used 2015 Porsche Cayenne s E-Hybrid in Carmine red!

Got this color as a loaner from my dealer and LOVED it! I'd guess 98 % of all new Porsche in lots are either black or white, BORING! Most interior colors are black too, very LAME! Have some guts and order more colored cars, Porsche dealers!
You are missing the point of the high performance SUVs Nick. You can either spend $20K to get a faster Macan or, like you did, add a $120K option to your Macan called the 911 :)

I am like you that black grey and maybe silver or boring colors. This comes from someone who has a grey car. But what options do we have? Short of a car coming with more colors or the manufacturer being able to offer special colors upon the customers request.
Cars in the 90s (in the US) and I think in the 2000s had interesting colors. If I were to get a McCan S (only option or the turbo not the 4 cylinder) in blue. I know you don't like that color on this car, but it's stands out non the less. I would get the same color on the Panamera.
Like you, having the Chrono package is great, but I don't it adds a blank switch and having a blank switch reminds me that I should have spent more money. However that is not the case on VWs Artron.
I think you should do a full review on your new toy.

My theories on color: on a car with great lines, white or bolder colors look best, because it shows off great design. Boring or less than attractive cars should be in grays or blacks, because it hides unattractive design.
I'm completely with you about the mediocrity of monochrome car colour choice. I ordered an Audi S6 Avant painted in a Bentley colour, Orange Flame Metallic. it never fails to get a thumbs up and favourable comments.
I have the same problem with the PCM on my 992 with getting the Porsche ID to persist. Can’t seem to resolve it. For what we pay for these cars, it’s reasonable to expect EVERY feature to work properly.
Agree with it being a luxury SUV and not a sports car. I got the basics too. Just don't see how the S or Turbo version will be useful to me. I got pretty much the same config as yours except it was in the boring common grey; but I plan to have it wrapped so the base color isn't all that important to me. I too have a problem with the connect ID to work with the app and the PCM. I hope you'll find a solution or work around soon. Cos the dealership isn't very helpful with it either.
Just for the Intro the Video deserves about 10 likes from me. So sad UA-cam doesn`t have that option. - Anyway super nice car and good review.
