This tune reminded me a lot of Duke Ellington's "Satin Doll". Both apparently written in the early 1950's, I wonder which one came first and if there is a clear influence of one on the other?

@Noah Bromberg Satin Doll was written by Duke Ellington in 1953. The Queen Bee was written by Nestico in 1964.
Both stay quite a few times between the iim7 V7 without resolving, that's most likely why...
