10:08 but kids do use the internet a lot, even in the early 200's. I'm in a paleontology group chat and one of my homies often talks about how he asked his father to print photos of new dinosaur species he just dicovered, it's not unrealistic for a girl that lived in a much more digitalised context to do the same thing
What I love about this short is that Allosaurus is the star. Allosaurus is my favorite dinosaur, so it always saddens me that it's usually portrayed just as a smaller T. rex or sidelined completely in favor of T. rex simply because Rexxie is bigger. Allosaurus literally hunted titans and dinosaurs with murder tails. It may not be the biggest theropod, but it was the undisputed king of its own time period and geographical location. It was a badass in its own right.
@@tjarkschweizer Depends on what continent you're on. In North America where I'm from, Allosaurus dominated Torvosaurus in terms of size and it had a stronger bite than Ceratosaurus.
@@Pipkiablo Listen, I am not trying to downplay Allosaurus. I just don't think that it was dominating anything but rather that there was a delicate balance of three huge carnivores coexisting.
The one thing I would wish was implemented in the new Jurassic Movie would be if it started with the idea that there is a man hunt out for Maisie, Owen, and Claire because a security recording of them releasing the dinosaurs got released into the public which would act as a perfect reason to include them in this movie as perhaps a group that comes to ask them for help can have them pardoned provided they do a job for said group. Which would probably be the best way to resolve the ending of Fallen Kingdom. There should be consequences to actions to the main characters, not just the random and countless people that are affected by this now.
A Dominion render of the Big Rock Allosaurus was leaked along with a Dominion render of the Carnotaurus with a broken horn, so we'll be seeing them again.

The INGEN version of Allosaurus is supposed to be 12 metres long which is around the maximal size estimate for some real life Allosaurus specimen. But yeah, in that side shot in front of the fire it looks way too huge 😄
Besides Saurophaganax there is another dinosaur that could have been used as base for size of the Battle at Big Rock Allosaurus, the allosaurid Epanterias, which also could grow to sizes around 12 meters and was thought to be another species of the genus, called Allosaurus amplexus.
The New Allosaur is just amazing in every way. Everyone is talking about its amazing Model and design, but im most intruiged by the new sound effects. They don't sound monstrous, they sound somewhat natural - and surprisingly fit an oversized Allosaur pretty well! Happy Holidays, Rick!
Then glow up meme is appreciated! I am also grindingly surprised the short film is just up, not split into clips, and the cgi is pretty damn good. Thanks for reviewing it :)
Listen. Jw already ruined my love for the future of jp franchise. All I want at this point is for a child to get absolutely shredded brutally on screen with lots of blood and guts. I want to see entire families being Turned into mush and bone. Like in the old books the franchise is based on. Turning the plot from a horror franchise with lots of blood and death and a suspenseful cool atmosphere. Into an action adventure franchise oriented towards children with a completely outlandish terrible plot lines. (Like dino hybrids and dinos who are monsters instead of animals) was a terrible idea. Not to mention the terrible execution of the overall premise of the franchise. Makes it no different to how they ruined fast n furious.
I would like to politely ask did you not watch camp Cretaceous since the dinosaur are treated as animals there plus the characters are well developed yeah a lot of the deaths are censored and there s4 but it got the things you want,no?
I heard that in Jurassic World Dominion, there’s going to be other big genetic companies like Biosyn and Mantacorp, rivals companies, that will use the dinosaur’s DNA to create their own dinosaurs!
Camp Cretaceous is actually a very good show. Sure, some things about it are ridiculous but not that much, and the kids are kinda annoying when you first meet them, but they grow on you very quickly and they develop as characters and you 100% root for them. It's suprisingly a great show and you should give it a chance, even if season 4 is full of goofy robots. Well with that out of the way, good review of Battle at Big Rock. Yeah, besides that one shot where it poses for the camera, the Allo completely acts like a realistic predator. They really shouldn't have taken the baby to the campsite tho, especially considering that there's dinosaurs walking around the forest.
Honestly, it's for the best. Even without the inaccuracies, the prologue's purpose was basically to set up a BS rivalry between the T.rex and Godzillanotosaurus.
@@SIMBA-tq2ch Actually, I read somewhere that Trevorrow showed an early cut to fans of Jurassic Park and dinosaurs for criticisms, and made nessassary changes.
I got into Jurassic World Evolution 1+2 this year and noticed that they're moving away from the pronated therapod wrists in the games too. Still some questionable design choices in there but I thought it was a nice detail.
good vid i just think that u forgot the possibility of "genetic power has been unleashed " and in the show camp cretaceous it has been shown that more companies can clone now like :manntahcorp
I think Blue should have pushed the button to let the dinosaurs out. A) Fits the theme of life finding a way. B) Calls back to raptors learning how to open doors.
You mentioning Primeval made me think... I can't be the only one who thought it was complete bullshit that they managed to keep the whole anomalies and prehistoric creatures thing a secret from the public. It's like cameras and the internet don't actually exist in the Primeval universe.
You know given how the dinosaur fled so quickly after being shot off by an arrow, you would think then a bullet would cause more damage if not outright fear. Which further compacts the points made in this video.
Do you know what would be a better ending? If the Indoraptor was actually being smart and decided to not chase Macy and actually break the dinosaurs out. I bet that would be a better ending than a girl letting out dinosaurs and not have second thoughts. Yet I can't understand why they didn't decide to set the dinosaurs in isla sorrna. Wouldn't that be better then putting then on human territory? Or at least killing the survivors instead of putting them in prison. Or why Elli Mills said Blue was the last of her kind even though there were velociraptors on isla sorrna.
I think it has to do with the idea that information about the other islands isn't known to the general public and perhaps not even by some staff, much like how the kids didn't realize the ruins of Jurassic park was a thing, likely due to it and the other projects of ingen being kept heavily under wraps.
Speaking of Isla Sorna, I think Fallen Kingdom’s prologue could have easily addressed that, if it incorporated a plot point from the second novel’s ending. It could have been established that one of Masrani’s workers accidentally contaminated the island with the DX prion disease, which began to gradually kill off the carnivores and scavengers. Soon, the herbivorous dinosaur populations exploded and consumed almost all of Isla Sorna’s vegetation, causing its ecosystem to collapse. Isla Nublar has been the only sustainable island left for the dinosaurs, and now its volcano is about to erupt. That way, it could make more sense for Blue to be the last of her kind, Isla Sorna would clearly not be a viable place to put Nublar’s dinosaurs, and the Spinosaurus could even make an appearance (with an explanation that her being a piscivore helped her avoid eating prion-contaminated meat, in time for Masrani’s group to find her and bring her to Jurassic World).
I have to say, you should watch camp Cretaceous for a large number of reasons, one it is actually a good show. Two, it's been confirmed cannon by the directors. Three, there is some MAJOR important lore dropped in it. Four, it has been confirmed by the director of Jurassic world domain that he has been working with the directors of camp Cretaceous and the final season's(season five) end will go into dominion's beginning, and through out the movie will have Easter eggs and references to the show.
It's just a regular Allosaurus, albeit with the size of Saurophaganax and the head of A.jimmadseni. the boxy head isn't characteristic of any allosaur, and is just a random design choice.
11:00 I cannot resist the urge to remind anyone that some allosaurus might have been 13 meters long or bigger, since saurophaganax is potentially a species of allosaurus
"The US has the resources" I would say even a developing country has the resources if public opinion is supportive. Look at the 4 pests campaign? They killed an ungodly number of sparrows trying to stop them from eating crops. So many that they overshot and it affected the ecosystem and allowed bugs to eat all the crops and made the famine worse. North Korea does regular "mass mobilizations" to fix damage from natural disasters and every 24 year old in the entire country has 1000 hours of combat and wilderness survival training, including with crewed weapons and artillary. Oh, and the actual active duty military is a million people. Even the congo is full of poachers and recently came out of a devastating war. Fundamentally, shooting elephants and shooting rexes isn't that different. And if you're not caring about a clean kill, an RPG would make very short work of any dinosaur. Megafauna are not good invasive species if humans want to stop them.
After the Jurassic World trilogy. Get we will have Jurassic Galaxy. Then soon afterwards we will have Jurassic Universe. Finally we will have Jurassic multiverse
robots are fine in JP universe. Saying theyre not is just an opinion, literally just that. The level of tech makes sense in Universe and doesnt contradict any part of the series. All I'm saying. Also, just because you disagree with the action of a character, doesnt make that a bad character or bad writing. Character's are aloud to make wrong (but justified) choices. Just having them break open the cage, would be at the very least lazy writing. Having it done for a character driven reason is far better. Protagonists can be at fault and make bad decisions. Like good video... but those just arent really valid criticisms

Many thanks for posting this review. Not only do we have the same mixed feelings/criticisms about BaBR, but you present them in a much funnier/more creative way than I ever could. 2 more things of note: -1) Any plans to review David James Armsby's "Dinosauria" series? At the very least, it'd be good to compare it to JWD's prologue (I.e. Unlike the allegedly "paleontologically correct" prologue, "Dinosauria" is actually a "paleontologically correct" depiction of Late Cretaceous North America). -2) Fair point about spin-off shows. Also, I get that not everyone can get into 3D animation or children's shows, regardless of quality. That said, I recommend giving CC a try. As a life-long dino/JP fan who's been very disappointed by ALL the sequel movies, I didn't expect to like CC very much, let alone feel all the feels that I felt. Even after S1-2, I downplayed how much like CC b/c I didn't wanna get my hopes too high, let alone expect S3 to go as far as it does. Put another way, remember when you said, "The first [JP] movie had great characters with great interactions and actual ethical discussions"? CC is the only JP sequel I can honestly describe that way, especially in S3. For more of my thoughts on CC, google "SD: My favorite aspects of Camp Cretaceous".
Damm, the fact that the guy who made the allosaurus act like an actual animal is the same guy who made a baryonix (if I can even call that a baryonix) just ignore hot lava to eat two humans

Camp Cretaceous and Battle at Big Rock is the only reason why I still sorta like the Jurassic World franchise. Camp Cretaceous gives some worldbuilding and a lot cool stuff set in the JW universe. It same thing for Battle of Big rock. Tho Fallen Kingdom basically just ruined the whole thing for me as I was pretty hyped for it and my expectations just get completely destroyed.
I would just like to bring back some love to the Netflix camp cretacious series. I think it's a great show wich brings a whole new generation back to this franchise. Also the futuristic menta corp in the series could just be a way of showing what kind of new era we have enterd into.
wait a minute aren't jp dinosaurs unstable or weak organisms, like i thought they have restricted lifespans due to their incomplete DNA. Also wouldn't they just get hard clapped by diseases?
The moment he started talking about Camp Cretaceous was when this video went down in likeability for me, but nonetheless besides that it was quite a nice and funny video, genuinely CC was the first good thing in a LONG time for the Jurassic franchise (not counting BaBR which was good as well), and I wasn't expecting it to be good either but we got a pleasant surprise, but yeah the short films we got were really cool
That movie is... bizarre, but I'll give it some credit, it's one of the few movies with an antagonistic Parasaurolophus. Sure, she's incompetent like Jessie from Team Rocket, but it still counts, I guess, usually hadrosaurs are peaceful cannon fodder and not bad guys.

@@sweetcinnamonpnchkin damn straight, let alone trying to load two bolts into what a double loaded crossbow the little girl mentioned, they literally shoehorned in this weapon just to explain the two animated crossbow bolts for no reason.

Unironically the best piece of JW media to date
Fun fact: The allosaurs seen in Fallen Kingdom were actually juveniles, whereas this allosaur is an adult (not too certain on how old).
It was also a female while the juveniles in fk where male. They're separated by the crests having a red color on the males and no red on the females.
Undisputed? Torvosaurus and Ceratosaurus would like to have a word with you.

I really hope that Allosaurus comes back.
A Dominion render of the Big Rock Allosaurus was leaked along with a Dominion render of the Carnotaurus with a broken horn, so we'll be seeing them again.

Funny that you mention that. The Jurassic World fanboy in me purchased tickets to see Hobbs and Shaw just for Battle at Big Rock, I even waited until the credits were finished. Yet despite my patience, there was no Battle at Big Rock.
You know how much of a fanboy I am when I took the bait.
Hobbs and Shaw was a good movie, especially when I never even seen any Fast and Furious movie
Video without curse word wouldn't be normal on this channel
That Allo is more like the size of the Saurophaganax
Possibly even bigger by just looking at the size of its head in the side shot compared to the humans. That guy is one ABSOLUTE UNIT.
Sure, the Nasuceratops has some inaccuracies, camping anywhere near dinosaurs is dangerous, and the whole baby being their can make ones eyes role….
But holy shit is this a great short film! Thanks for reviewing it :)
I personally loved Fallen Kingdom and Battle at Big Rock, so I'm excited to see what Dominion has to offer.
This new generetion of paleo fan are lost because the big part its make by jurassic park fans
i feel like if they renamed the allosaurus to saurophaganax it would be accurate

I heard that in Jurassic World Dominion, there’s going to be other big genetic companies like Biosyn and Mantacorp, rivals companies, that will use the dinosaur’s DNA to create their own dinosaurs!
Yessss and please can you review some documentary, I think it’s called dinosaur Britain
The Ocean Man gag lives on.
I think the innacuracy complaints about the prologue's dinosaurs were the reason it was cut from the final film.
Honestly, it's for the best. Even without the inaccuracies, the prologue's purpose was basically to set up a BS rivalry between the T.rex and Godzillanotosaurus.
Of course shitty filmmakers can't handle criticism
@@SIMBA-tq2ch Actually, I read somewhere that Trevorrow showed an early cut to fans of Jurassic Park and dinosaurs for criticisms, and made nessassary changes.

I kinda don't agree with you about the ending of fallen kingdom, and I also like the jw franchise, but good video and I respect your opinion.
Which further compacts the points made in this video.
good job
14:24 I gotta say the funniest scene
I have to say, you should watch camp Cretaceous for a large number of reasons, one it is actually a good show.
Two, it's been confirmed cannon by the directors.
Three, there is some MAJOR important lore dropped in it.
Four, it has been confirmed by the director of Jurassic world domain that he has been working with the directors of camp Cretaceous and the final season's(season five) end will go into dominion's beginning, and through out the movie will have Easter eggs and references to the show.
Jurassic world fallen kingdom is the worst jurassic park movie ever.

Camp cretaceous season 1-3 is actually better than most other Jurassic park films season four...ehhhhhhhh
It's truly sad how right you are. What happened to this franchise?
13:34 now we have one eye but in allosaurus version
I will admit that Fallen Kingdom is not a good movie but I do find entertaining
10:57 I like to think of the Allo as a Saurophagnax due to its size and slightly more boxy head
Well the allosaurus in jurassic world did have some Saurophagnax DNA to make it large so you are sorta right
It's just a regular Allosaurus, albeit with the size of Saurophaganax and the head of A.jimmadseni. the boxy head isn't characteristic of any allosaur, and is just a random design choice.
I would really like a Camp Cretaceous review if nothing else but to have more content and funny reactions on here.
11:00 I cannot resist the urge to remind anyone that some allosaurus might have been 13 meters long or bigger, since saurophaganax is potentially a species of allosaurus
Although nowadays saurophaganax is usually considered a valid genus
And this allosaurus would be too large regardless
13 meters is a bit of a stretch. More like 11.5-12 meters.
I would have loved the Allosaurus more if it wasn't the same size as the Tyrannosaurus rex. This franchise loves making the theropods too damned big.
The thumbnail was too accurate
Me when I think that Rick raptor is uploading more I will post it closer to the end of this year
Camp Cretaceous was good until the robot stuff
"The US has the resources"
I would say even a developing country has the resources if public opinion is supportive.
Finally we will have Jurassic multiverse
with human dinosaur hybrids and fully geneticly engineered "dinosaurs" of course
Love to see allo getting respect
robots are fine in JP universe.

2 more things of note:
-1) Any plans to review David James Armsby's "Dinosauria" series?
The Dinosauria series is only halfway done, I guess Rick will review that series sometime next year
Damm, the fact that the guy who made the allosaurus act like an actual animal is the same guy who made a baryonix (if I can even call that a baryonix) just ignore hot lava to eat two humans

Camp Cretaceous and Battle at Big Rock is the only reason why I still sorta like the Jurassic World franchise. Camp Cretaceous gives some worldbuilding and a lot cool stuff set in the JW universe. I would just like to bring back some love to the Netflix camp cretacious series. I think it's a great show wich brings a whole new generation back to this franchise. Also the futuristic menta corp in the series could just be a way of showing what kind of new era we have enterd into.
Jurassic universe is next
battle at big rock actually gives me hope for dominion
wait a minute aren't jp dinosaurs unstable or weak organisms, like i thought they have restricted lifespans due to their incomplete DNA.
Little does he know Camp Cretaceous is actually canon, that being said it’s actually pretty good but you can skip season 4.
The robots may be extremely stupid but season 4 has important things so it can't be skipped.
