This was fun, Ben! The rings all look amazing to me but think the signet is definitely most my vibe. On another note, maybe the reason Ceremonials was ringing as the first album in your mind is because you had a listen to it before Lungs? I believe the order is Lungs, Ceremonials, HBHBHB, High as Hope, and Dance Fever. I totally didn't mention this on your review/reaction on Dance Fever but I think for me, I've had literally over a decade of Lungs and Ceremonials and nearly a decade for HBHBHB so that I'm just ready for different things from F+TM whereas anybody who listens in a different order or time frame, going pretty quickly from one album to another might impact expectations. I feel like it's the same with movies: I have so much more fun/appreciate projects more the less expectation I have....ooor could just be that some things don't connect and never do, and that's totally cool too! Yay for just trying new things, eh? Cheers & hope you're having an amazing day!

P.S. I loved this era’s MVs because it showcased F+TM’s ability to present different narratives when it came to its visuals and aesthetic. I particularly love that one of the last shots in the “Lover to Lover” video is of the ocean waves, seemingly foreshadowing what’s to come with HBHBHB. This is also further supported by the fact that LtL was directed by Vincent Haycock, who would end up directing the visuals/film (“The Odyssey”) for HBHBHB 😍😍😍

David LaChapelle has got to be my favourite modern concept photographer. His sets and edits are always insane, like the one Kardashian xmas card photo xD Vincent Haycock who did Lover to Lover is when Florence decided on the visual aesthetic of How Big. He directed The Odyssey for the album 😍
