Personally I wouldn't rest the goalkeeper - they won't need it and miss out on some training. Great tip on the pick guidelines - I never knew that existed!
RDF with his sweater, the huge speaker behind and the shelf reminds me of my childhood in 1998-2002, we used to have big speakers (older ones) all over the house, some of them would be used only once a year. Very interesting video also! Bring him back every month or so!
Great tips. For sure I will start to use the time wasting once I’m in lead and it’s late in the game. I’m new to FM. Can you help me understand how I beat Marseille with Espanyol and then lose to a team in segunda división? I don’t get how the game works. Also if my players have a release clause why do teams offer millions or hundreds of thousands less and then my board will force the sale?
Possibly Marseille were playing attacking and that can lead to gaps/space for you to exploit. A Segunda team might be the complete opposite - sit back and wait for you to attack then counter you. Against weaker sides, it’s always good to check where you could be counter-attacked. That might mean using a defend duty somewhere or even a slowing the tempo down to control the game
@@RDFTactics thanks for the feedback. By the way is there a way to give a pregame talk or call a team meeting? I’m on console and I can’t seem to find that option anywhere.
Yes of course they will. Your decision whether you'd rather rest them and they miss out on that training or you have them train and their knackered so you can't play them next game.
A dead ball is not the same thing as a set piece. A dead ball is, for example, when your opponent tries a long pass but it's too hard hit and it just goes nowhere near the target, then your defence collects it and there is no-one around. So the one controlling the ball is now in a position where there is no play going on, no one is actively trying to steal the ball from him and he is just holding it for a bit. That's a dead ball because there is no immediate action, you're just there with the ball for a moment. That means that, if you give the instruction to waste time, on a dead ball situation, your player that collects that dead ball will take more time bring it back into action, create a new play, build up, making it "alive".
That's not a dead ball. The ball is live if it is in play, regardless of whether someone is closing down the player on the ball. A dead ball is a point where the ball is not in play. I.e. its gone out for a goal kick, corner, throw in etc. or the game has been stopped for a free kick.
You only just discovered swap positions??? You used to able to set this up in the pre-game tactic window, but only been able to do it in game in recent years, has that changed back again in 2023? Better tip: if you are playing more than 1 striker, have them all swap positions, if the opponent has set up man marking it causes chaos :)
Thank you for having me! 🤝 really appreciate it! If you’re people are happy with more videos here and there….👀

Won’t the players miss out on training if you give them a couple of rest days after a game?

Do people actually get their assistants to pick their teams? Don't think I've done that once. I always get terrible suggestions
Topchik video
Great video, buy why cant you say idea lol
There’s time I’m recording and I’m like “I really need to go back to school” 😂
Wow!!! I thought they had removed the swap position option a few years ago. They just hid it!
Sneaky but its there
Great stuff as always RDF!!
You only have 2 danish players in first team. Is that enough when you play in europe?

+1 sub
Does the game learn to play against you? If so how often should you change tactics and lineup?
Yes, it's wise to have different versions of your main tactic
Make a benfica tactic!
If they let me 😂
@@RDFTactics do it on your channel
Hi 😂
Disagree with the one resting players to that degree. They need training too
