Travelled to Brunei last year around this time. I spent 4 days there and visited all those spots, and a few more museums plus Ulu Temburong National Park. That was the best bit in my opinion. I didn't stay in hotel though, stayed in Pusat Belia Youth Hostel which basically doesn't take reservations and is only staffed at certain times. So you basically rock up and ask around until someone lets you pay $10 a night and gives you a key. That was an experience!
I don't think the guy actually stole his bag, you can see the driver of the car they're in walking towards the guy and the guy who picked up his bag turned towards him. So either he was stealing the bag and the driver stopped him or he was never stealing it in the first place.
HOLY CRAP YOU'RE CLOSE TO WHERE I AM EVAN. Visit Sabah/Borneo if you get the chance, it's only next to Brunei! You'll love the place if you're a nature person, as well as the culture of many native clans there! (COME TO KL PLEASE THAT'LL BE WHERE I AM HAHA)
By the way, the colorful food that you had for breakfast in Brunei we call it "kueh" in general because it has variety of taste and appearance (you'll know how to pronounce it if you hear a Bruneian says it). Basically, the "kueh" is more of what you would call a desert and the "kueh" is one of Brunei's desert 👍🏻 (don't worry. it's edible of course haha)
Yay!!! You're in Sabah!!!!! But why'd you have to go when I wasn't there? I would have totally showed you around! XD pssst, if you're still in KK, try to get to Uncle Gary's for lunch. Amazing blue rice!! :D
Been to Brunei...went scuba dives...too bad weather was bad...and I felt like diving in a washing machine with the water all churning ... anyhow...self driving there was wonderful ... with only SGD25 full tank for a 1.6L... ...the peak hour jam is a joke...with hardly a jam...lol... ...the beaches are beautiful...and the countryside views are precious...though don't expect much from the city for entertainment...or night life...which on the other hand I don't really care...coz that's not what I'm looking for... ...only one thumbs down...they don't sell cigarettes...and I actually survived 5 days not smoking...hahaha.. ...so for those who wishes to stop smoking...visiting Brunei could be a start... ...a beautiful down to earth...peaceful and quiet... ..love the place...except for that one only...haha
If you are wondering who is living in the Istana Nurul Iman obviously the Sultan and of course the gates are closed 😂 You wouldn't want to intrude someone's house and being called 'rude' though.
You're pretty much the first youtuber (that i know of) that's ever visited brunei, which is pretty cool imo. So, thank you, i feel included now. 😂

What was the spongy thing for breakfast? Why did you let the guy steal your backpack?
SO MANY UNANSWERED QUESTIONS
The spongy thing was a jelly-based cake, a malay delicacy. :) Doesn't look like a cake, but we classify it as cakes hah
